I've lived in Brookline for over 2 years. Never thinking to go in to this bar. Why would I? There are so many dives on the boulevard. Maybe because the best pizza is a little late so let's have one. But no I never went to this bar. I swear to GOD what a chill bar. Clean good people and most beers regular price are 3 bucks. + they do have specials. Don't know if they have food. But that's what the best pizza in Pittsburgh that is right next door is for!

Perhaps the owners of "slicks" should consider buying instead of leasing lolol. I'd have thrown their asses out a long time ago considering all the drug activities. No stars for slicks.Boo hoo! The owners don't know how to manage a bar. Sorry "slicks" no stars for you lolol

Brittney is a bartender and very rude. I tipped, and was very nice even when she was rude to my friend. 20 mins before the bar was closing I ask a guy could he teach me how to play pool. She said we aren’t doing this. Out of nowhere. Then she start yelling at me. I was so confused. I do think that it had to do with race. I didn’t deserve that. Started off a good night and turned out to be the worst night ever. Brittney was the aggressor and honestly I don’t understand why. When I smiled tried to be friendly the whole night. I needed this night out I’m going thru a divorce and the the crowd really was cheering me up but the bartender brittney ruined my night.

Was visiting a dear friend in Carnegie. He took me to Slicks, we drank beer and waited for our pizza from next door on Friday night. I had a great time watching the guys shoot pool ? ?

Best bar in the City of Pittsburgh! The cleanest bar, most friendly employees, great pool table, EXCELLANT sound system for the juke box and Pittsburgh Games!!! Go Steelers, Let's Go Pens, Let's Go Buc's!!! Best Pizza in the city right next door, Fioris, the original. Then bring it on over to Slicks to enjoy at a table with a beer ? Where friends and family meet ❤️

They have a pool table. Very very small bar though.

Allright, hands down one of the most friendliest places with a hard working staff I've been to. The drinks are well prepared and very fairly priced... not to mention the incredible always changing grandma and bee nativity scene. "My personal favorite".... but after all said and done... real rap this place is all that and some... kudos

I'm going to be honest, I rarely get to this part of the city. You do have to remember that this city has over 90 neighborhoods. And like I said, I rarely have gotten to this particular neighborhood, I have only been a handful of time and mostly it was just to pass through.Slick's is that kind of dive bar that you have to be told about by someone that frequents. It is not just a place that you walk into while out on a nightly stroll. It is one that has to invite you in with that dim glow of the interior lights and the neon for whatever beer company logo hangs about.Once inside you get to decide whether or not you want to sit at the bar or a high top table. We sidled up to the bar and went about ordering. The bartender is great, she is a peach to talk to and was able to produce whatever drink we asked for. This is a true bar atmosphere as you talk over the noise from the pool table, television, and the slow hum of traffic passing by outside. Everything about this bar is Pittsburgh. All teams are supported within and there is no shortage of memorabilia hanging on the walls.Feeling peckish? Move yourself over to the high top tables. Order your food from Fiori's next door and you are more than welcome to bring that in here and eat away. We noshed and drank the rest of the night away here. Being able to cap off a great night in the city.
Feel bad. I believed someone I shouldn't. Good people and great family. Nice bar to enjoy a Pittsburgh game and a drink.

Friendly people, cheap drinks, and there's a pool table with a chalk board that you can write your name on to compete against other pool players at the bar. Overall, a good time at a local bar
