While visiting from out of town, we stumbled across the Squirrel Hill Cafe and immediately felt welcome thanks to the friendly staff there. Their burger and hand-cut fries were delicious!

This was an accidental find a few months ago. Truly one of the best burgers I’ve had. French fries are delicious too. And Jan is the best! Came back today just to show the place to our kids! Just a great neighborhood bar!

Super awesome staff! I when during a rush and this super nice older lady was staffing the whole place. Despite all the customers she kept the drinking coming fast! Food is also pretty decent, it’s a very small limited menu but they have some good sandwiches. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a quick drink or something to munch on.

People working over there are very friendly. The food is good with large portions. We tried hamburger and fried fish. Fries could have been better. Prices are reasonable. I recommend this place.

I’m traveling from Oregon and stopped by for drinks and food. This is an amazing establish. Reviews don’t do justice. Highly highly recommend stopping by for a quick sip and bite. Everyone was really kind to me. As a solo traveler I wasn’t sure what I would get into. I got a simple shrimp in the basket and it was SO GOOD. Omg. I can go on and on about Squirrel Hill Cafe. From Oregon to Pittsburgh, put this one on your list to check out

Went here for the first time. These kinds of places are disappearing quick! Talked with the bartender who has been there for 40+ years. There wasn't a cool, so we didn't get to try the food, but we will definitely be back. Nice beer selection in cans and a few drafts.
