“Pittsburgh rarely disappoints when it comes to Asian food. Senyai is no different. Visited Senyai for dinner with my family. The ambiance and staff are welcoming. We sat in the dining room, which is a cozy setting. We would like to try the patio seating next time. The food was really good. We ordered some dumplings, tom kha soup and fired calamari, which are our family favorites. Dumplings were good. However, the calamari was a bit overcooked. Kids liked their Pad Medamamuang. I ordered ped krob (thai spicy) and loved it. My wife ordered tom yum (thai spicy) and loved it as well. We loved the fact that the portion sizes are not too big. Overall it was good experience. We will definitely come back.“
“Inside this unassuming storefront in Westview is some of the best Southeast Asian food in Pittsburgh. Lovingly and expertly made by a Myanmarese family, the food is fresh, authentic, and delicious. Go for the salads (pickled tea leaf salad, pickled ginger salad, fresh tofu salad, crispy yellow tofu salad, samosa thoke), the soups, the curries (pickled mango pork), and the noodle dishes.Tip: if you can, eat in instead of getting takeout—the salads especially are at their absolute best when they are freshly made. (The crispy and crunchy components tend to sog out a little otherwise.)“
“You have to go here! A++ I go so often and the food is fabulous. Try the pad Thai fusion with Penang, try the general sows chicken they’re Penang chicken they’re fresh spring rolls they’re butter squash soup I could go on garlic chicken try it ALL. You will not be disappointed. Their food is fabulous. You can bring your own bottle. Everything is exceptional.“
“I had a really good experience here and would recommend to others. The service when I visited was particularly noteworthy. Despite being incredibly busy with just one waitress, she was incredible! She was remarkably efficient and seemed to have attended all tables with no problems. My table had no issues with our orders and was able to frequently check-in with us, along with putting a matchbook under our table when we didn't even mention it to her. As for the food, it was exceptional. I tried the duck noodles, a rare find from my experience with Thai restaurants, and it did not disappoint. The portion size was generous enough for me to take almost half of it home. I chose a spice level of 7, and it really had quite a kick. It left me visibly sweating which was actually quite funny for everyone at my table. I think the food and service really delivered here. I would return here should I be given the chance.“
“This place is really a gem. I come here often (whenever I crave spicy pad kee mao (it is amazing!)). The owner is the sweetest and he always smiles! I feel like whenever I go there he gives me some of his positive energy along with great food!“
“Great restaurant located the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh PA. If you like Thai food with great noodles then this is the place for you. I had the Kee Mao- big flat rice noodles, bok choy, napa cabbage, basil with chili garlic sauce and it was great. You have the option of your spice level ranging from 0-5 with 0 being not hot at all to 5 being crazy hot!! This seems to be very popular place for the younger college aged crowd. The only downside to this place is the parking. We went on a Sunday so we were able to find a place along the street about a block away (meter parking). I can imagine it would be more difficult to find parking during more busy hours. They also only accept cash so keep that in mind. Other than that I would highly recommend giving this place a try.“
“First impression was how amazing it smelled when we walked in, the food was ready even though we were a few minutes early. We had the lobster rangoon, chicken pad see-ew and chicken pineapple fried rice with a Thai milk tea. Everything was delicious spicy and so flavorful, the sauce for the rangoon was amazing and the milk tea is my daughter's new favorite! We live within walking distance and most definitely will be returning regularly but I assure you it's worth the drive!“
“BEST KEPT SECRET IN BLOOMFIELD ... Do you want REAL THAI in the city of Pittsburgh, PA? You are lucky to find this little gem. It's behind Children Hospital. Look for the little sign.Mom, Aunt, Son, and family cooks. The best THAI food you've had???“
“I come with my husband for lunch. We always get the lunch special and he LOVES the soup that comes with it. I adore the Tum Yum veggie soup. The summer roll is so fresh and the crab app is crispy and always hot. It’s a family owned business so that just makes it even better. You can’t go wrong with anything you get. Try the Musaman curry with beef. The owner is so sweet and that’s what keeps my husband and I coming back for more.“
“Always on time and great food. Put in an online order and listed the names of my coworkers for each item as a note for myself, just thought it would be on the receipt. The staff went above and beyond and labeled each item itself with the corresponding name, appreciate the extra time and care.“
“Michael the bartender at Dancing Crab is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, his warm smile and welcoming demeanor set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Not only does he craft exquisite cocktails with precision and flair, but he also takes the time to engage with customers, making them feel like old friends. His knowledge of the menu is unparalleled, offering insightful recommendations that perfectly complemented our meal. Michael's passion for mixology shines through in every drink he creates, and his dedication to customer satisfaction is truly commendable. Without a doubt, he is a standout among bartenders, elevating the dining experience at Dancing Crab to unforgettable heights. If you're looking for impeccable service and unforgettable drinks, look no further than Michael at Dancing Crab.“
“I can't say enough good things about Thai Me Up. Every single thing I've ordered there is packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. Their red curry is amazing. I adore their lemongrass soup as well! Despite it being a smaller space they really make it feel nice, and it's always clean! The food is high quality. It's a little more expensive but considering how good it is I'm happy to pay when I can afford it! ♡“
“Really nice place. Very cosy with a nice atmosphere and good service. Menu options were good and reasonably priced with generous portions. I have had duck at other asian restaurants and it sometimes comes out rather tough and chewy. But I had the duck birds nest here and it was alot more smooth and tender. I would highly recommend comming here.“
“I think what sets this restaurant apart from the other Thai restaurants is that they serve brunch, and the food is a little more "home style" than the other Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh. The restaurant is a little less curry-forward than the others. That means they have a bunch of stir fry options that are quite good. They have plenty protein and veggie-balanced options that the others don't have. The biggest standout on the menu is their milo drink. Milo is a popular Southeast Asian chocolate drink that the kids will drink to fulfill nutrient requirements, but it tastes good (unlike Ovaltine). Tooktook uses the powder and makes a giant drink in-house. The drink brings many positive childhood memories.Parking: Parallel parking“
“This review is so long overdue bc all my friends and family know how I feel abt Thai & Noodle Outlet. I don’t write reviews often but I have to rave about this place.Thai & Noodle Outlet is my favorite Thai place ever after having lived in Pittsburgh for 6+ years. It is one of the things I miss most about living in Pittsburgh, and make a point to come back every time I’m revisiting the city. I would give it 10 stars if I could.Every single menu item I’ve had is 10/10. I’ve been there so many times and tried so many things that the staff (which are all delightful) have started to recognize me bc I am rly that obsessed with this place.I wish I had more pictures but some of my favorites are the Tom yum / Tom kha soups, Basil entree, Sukothai noodle soup, red and green curry noodle soups, pineapple / outlet fried rice, pad see ew, and Ba Mee.Their food heals my soul. Thai & Noodle Outlet is love. Thai & Noodle Outlet is life. I simply cannot imagine a world without Thai & Noodle Outlet. Please don’t ever change.“
“My friend and I traveled to Silk Elephant from Bethel Park. Three Reasons:: We love the Chicken Pad Thai.: We love the Thai Crab Bisque and Salmon Rolls: We love the Mango JuiceThe prices are so reasonable especially compared to how other restaurants have really spiked their prices. Service is always good. Hooray for them. Love giving them my business.“
“This was our first time, we would give it 10 stars ?Vegetarian options: YesParking: Was about a 1/2 block, plenty of parking, but it was difficult to get out...we parked on top but had to drive down like 6 levels to get out...they should have access at the top to get out!Kid-friendliness: Not that I had any with me, but saw a couple families with young kids..Very well behaved“
“This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in the Dormont/Mt. Lebanon area. Quick delivery, tasty food.I’m a big fan of spicy Basil Leaf with beef and their Tom Yum soup with chicken (appetizer size), but they make a lot of great dishes. My wife loves the Pad Thai with tofu, Crab Rangoons and bubble tea.If you have a cold, try the Tom Yum Noodle Soup Bowl with chicken (dinner portion). You get the broth and chicken separate from the noodles and veggies so nothing is soggy, and there’s easily enough for 2-3 massive bowls of soup — especially if you order extra meat or veggies. A life saver when you’re sick.“
“We went here for my birthday dinner and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered 5 different things and they were all amazing. They have the absolute best crab rangoons I’ve ever had. The chicken pad Thai was so flavorful and my husband couldn’t stop raving about his pork belly dish and Thai chili wings. We will definitely be repeat customers!!“
“If you order your Thai duck fried rice an 8/10 on the spice scale, expect an 8/10. Amazing food. Looked out my hotel window and saw this restaurant. Spectacular food. Cleaned my sinuses right out, which is why I ordered it that spicy. Will be coming back here on my next trip to Pittsburgh. Please try their food.Vegetarian options: Tofu as protein in any dishDietary restrictions: Options for tofu and they ask you to tell them about any dietary restrictions on menu. Kind staff. Make great food.Kid-friendliness: Seats for kids to sit in while food is being made“
“Wow! This gem has been down the street and I so regret not trying it sooner! The service was amazing, the food was probably the best Chinese I’ve ever had, and it was very reasonably priced. My husband and I ordered 2 vegetable egg rolls and they were so crunchy and delicious, orange chicken which honestly why have I never had orange chicken where you can taste orange!? So good with a hint of spice. The beef and broccoli and the broccoli was so fresh, and the combination low mein with chicken shrimp and pork that was perfect. There is enough food for leftovers and I love that I’ve found a go to spot. Added bonus! Our food was ready in 30min! 1000000% would recommend.“
“This place is one of...if not THE BEST restaurant in the area. Food was amazing with so many choices with such great textures and flavors melded together. Service here is impeccable and the ambiance is perfect. We will definitely be back for more if we get a reservation.“
