Burgers were particularly bland; old-fashioned cocktail was not even close to expectations - wait staff was completely indifferent to concerns - more excuses than action. We were dissapointed and doubt we'll be back. Too bad.

I went for brunch today and on the weekends it goes until 4. Their grilled cheese is what they are known for and their wide array to pick from. I’ve always loved just their house burger. The garlic aoli is what makes it. The salads are good here and I usually don’t like salads at places, I always get one with goat cheese and raspberries and walnuts. It’s amazing and they do not skimp on the good stuff in the salads. I have come here and just ordered their dessert before for dinner. No one there judged me. I always get the same waitress and she is always so hospitable. The staff are really such a sweet bunch of people and it has a very hometown vibe. The staff also isn’t vulnerable to turnover as I’ve seen a lot of the same staff for years.

What a cute and cozy little pub! The service was excellent, and the food is amazing! I got the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich which was loaded with cheddar cheese and all white meat chicken breast. My husband got the brunch sandwich which is your typical breakfast sandwich fillings (cheese, chorizo, bacon, etc) loaded between 2 Beignet pancakes... yum! You won't leave this place hungry! Highly recommend if you are in the Shady Side area.

The food is horribe and serive almost as bad. I have been there a few times and each time, it has been vad. The grilled cheese is barely edible, and the hamburger s tastless with no flavor.

The food was pretty good, I might ordered the wrong thing, the filling in my grilled cheese was a little sparse. Though everyone else at my table seemed pleased with their meal. The side home made potato chips were amazing It's definitely not the place to go if you want to have dinner conversation. But, could be fun for late night, after the game, bigger groups

Not worth it. Probably a decent bar but not a great restaurant. They weren't very busy yet were very slow. The staff were friendly and great when they were at our table but no one got a refill in the hour and a half we were there. One of their fryers must've been bad because some got crispy waffle fries and others got a soggy clump of mush. Yhe corn dog for my 2 year old was frozen in the middle then the replacement they got was frozen as well. The food that was cooked properly was good but probably not going back

I ordered hot honey chicken and waffles but unfortunately the chicken tasted like it was sitting for a while and then just got reheated to room temp at best. I didn't even end up eating it, just the waffles which were also not hot. The homefries were stale and cold. It wasn't even busy and it took the server forever to come back around so I couldn't even ask for fresh ones. Disappointed.

The food was amazing! It was our first time visiting and we spent it celebrating my partner's birthday. The fries came out hot and fresh with the short ribs and cheese. We got the sunny side up egg on the side, just in case we didn't like the way it mixed in with the meat. The salads were so delicious, I'm surprised we didn't get an extra one to go.

I am a huge fan of the Yard! The staff is always very kind and helpful, the food and drinks are always good (and reasonably priced!), and the vibe is great. It’s a great place to go for dinner with the fam or drinks and apps with your friends. A good cure to a bad week, for sure!

Went to The Yard as apart of an 8 person table, and walked out before we even ordered our food in disbelief at the poor quality and efficiency of service. My table had ordered five alcoholic drinks and two sodas ordered. The five drinks took more than 30 minutes to come to the table and arrived luke warm with melted ice. The two sodas never even made it to the table, and our table was originally charged for these nonexistent items, forcing a member of our table to get our receipt for the drinks corrected. The place also smelt of vodka immediately when I walked in. The ambiance was mediocre at best. All of this being said, my cousin ordered the Aloha Felicia and it genuinely transcended her. Her tastebuds were transported to the Bahamas and her mouth was so blessed. Still though. Not worth your time.

First time eating at The Yard Shadyside. We had our kids with us and had a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. I would definitely recommend this as a family friendly atmosphere.
