Unfortunately due to random bad luck the room we booked was flooded the day we were to arrive. Carolyn is a true blessing and not only provided us with new accommodations elsewhere, she made sure we wouldn't be charged more, that we still had all the amenities of the Mountaintop Lodge, and most importantly that the new place was wheelchair friendly for me! She went above and beyond. The breakfast each morning was delicious, there is nothing else to say about it. We tried a variety of things and it was all extremely yummy!Donna was also extremely wonderful. The third day of our stay she had a birthday card on the table for me with the sweetest message and set our table up so we could eat with a gorgeous view of the trees! Truth be told, every lady working there was delightful, I just didn't catch anyone's names other than Donna and Carolyn!Lastly, the decor, scenery, and location were wonderful. The whole place was so rustic and cozy. It felt like a place where things were a little slower, a little more simple, and a lot less hectic. The perfect place to sit outside and enjoy a coffee. Before we left we got to peek at one of the rooms that was similar but a little smaller than the room we were supposed to have and all I can say is that we can't wait to come back and actually stay!

My partner and I have been coming to Mountain Top for the last 2 years for weekend getaways. Each year we stay in one of the cabins. This past September we stayed in the Pines. The cabins are exactly as you expect an aesthetically pleasing cabin to be- equipped with a bathtub, fire place and private bathroom. The hot tub is the highlighted of a long cold days end. Most importantly, the daily breakfast that’s included with your stay is top notch! If you’re looking for a cozy, romantic and affordable Pocono getaway, this is your place! Check out the front store for some locally produced soaps, scrubs, lotions, and candles.

This is our favorite coffee shop close to home. Great coffee, sweets, and soups at the cafe. The staff are extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. The fireplace is a great place to sit and read by or just relax. The lodging is beautiful as well and it is set in a nice location, close to many key tourist attractions. Don’t miss a chance to stop here for coffee, a meal, or for lodging! You’ll be glad you did - AND CALL IT HOME!!!

If you have kids this place is perfect! It's not a big overpriced resort, but rather if you're looking for something that won't break the bank this place cannot be beat. Family-owned and family oriented, they really have put thought into what they do. The lodge lobby is great if you have kids since they have a lot of fun games and things to do to keep them occupied while you grab a coffee or plan your day or unpack your car, etc. Not only is there free coffee and hot pot for tea around the clock, but there is a cafe attached to the lodge that offers more great items, from pastries to Lodge-swag (I couldn't resist their custom mugs). The included breakfast is one of the best I have ever had at any lodging previous. Also the location is perfect, enough said. Access to the community center and private restaurant nearby is fantastic. We spent a whole day at the community center, and then came back for the playground another day since the kids liked it so much. We stayed in early September just after Labor Day.Nearby activities: Lake beaches, playgrounds, nature hikes, scenic areas, community center.

Nice setting, especially outside. Good selection of coffee, desserts are ok. Last place in Poconos where you can get espresso for 1.95.

We rented the entire lodge for our wedding in June, and getting to spend so much time with our friends and family at the lodge was truly the highlight of our wedding weekend. The breakfast each morning was incredible, and they even made me blueberry pancakes the morning of my wedding, and brought a whole spread to my room while I was getting ready. We also had our rehearsal dinner here, and it was so fantastic - all of the food was amazing and they lit a fire pit for us with a s'mores bar! The rooms themselves are great - very clean and spacious with SUPER comfy sheets. But what really makes this place special is the staff. Carolyn and the rest of the staff were SO kind, welcoming, and helpful the entire weekend. They were genuinely excited for us and really made sure that every detail was perfect. When we got back from our wedding reception, the staff had set up water bottles for us with ice and glasses, and they all wanted to see pictures the next morning at breakfast. They made it so special for us and all of our guests, and we can't wait to come back!

Our large family was there last week for a family reunion. The hotel and amenities are great, and the breakfast every day was delicious. The best part though, was Ms. Carolyn and staff, who were amazingly kind, welcoming and flexible. Our group included 9 small children and they did everything possible to make it comfortable for all. We ordered dinner for two of our nights there and they prepared everything beautifully, even a s'mores bar! We enjoyed the hotel grounds, the fire pit, the lovely deck and also the Lake Naomi amenities - the indoor pool and health club, and the beautiful beachfront. The Sunday morning brunch buffet at the clubhouse was also wonderful.

What a jewel the lodge is! We stop here on our way to and from Maine. The staff is always friendly. The rooms impeccably clean. The morning made to order breakfast is not to miss. Our favorite part is the Innkeeper Carolyn. We always look forward to seeing her. She is a real gem!
