“Late to the party with this review, but a couple of weeks back I met my nephew, Daniel, and his girl Lauren, along with Michael and a friend from scouts. We had capped off a scout trip to Gettysburg with a day at Hersheypark, and then we were invited to dine at The Millworks before the ride home.We started with tbe Fried Brussel Sprouts. Memory is a little faded on these, and unfortunately they're not listed on the online menu, and I don't have a completely accurate memory of the ingredients, but it was something like bacon, sliced apples, cranberries, apple cider reduction...whatever it was, man they were awesome, and I'd like them again.I had the 16 Hour Ramen. I really could've done a dozen other things, and would've liked a couple of more appetizers and maybe a pizza or two passed around the table, but I had a long drive home ahead of me and I didn't want to be stuffed. Anyhow, the ramen was fantastic. It had a nice rich broth, and was topped with an egg that was runny on top and fried crispy on the bottom for a really nice blend of textures. It also featured noodles, kimchi, toasted peanuts, watermelon radish, pea shoots, cilantro, amd homemade hot sauce. Anyhow, on top of the rich broth, the dominant flavors here were from the smoked brisket, roasted peanuts, and the kimchi. What an amazing mix of flavors it was, too. Not something I ever would've thought too mix up, but it sure worked. The boys had the House Cheeseburgers, described as; wood grilled cheeseburger, tomato jam, bistro sauce, cooper sharp cheese, lettuce, onion, half sour pickles, on a local brioche bun with house made potato chips. Both elected to top their burgers with bacon and fried egg. From what I saw , the burgers were a perfect medium rare, and Michael, who is a bit of a burger connoisseur, declared his one of the best ever. I did manage to snatch a couple of homemade chips, and they were still warm and crispy, with flavors of sea salt, pepper, and celery seed in the topping.Nephew Daniel had a wood fired pizza with italian sausage and tomato, and topped with fresh arugala. Looked fantastic, and again made me wish we had sampled a couple more, and Lauren enjoyed the Apple Spinach Endive salad, with honeycrisp apple, shaved fennel, gorgonzola, shaved celery, toasted pecans, endive, frisee, and baby spinach, dressed in a hot honey balsamic vinaigrette. Unfortunately I didn't snap a shot of this one, but it too looked excellent.Neat thing about The Millworks is that it is also a functioning art gallery and studio space. The walls are lined with works for sale, and on the second floor, even on a Sunday evening, several artists in residence were working on creating and peddling their wares. If you happen to be in Hersheypark, or Harrisburg or Gettysburg, and you need something a little better than the carny food, The Millworks isn't far off, and the quality makes it well worth the drive. Prices are sort of mid range, with a few higher end items that are reflected in price. But a broad range of sandwiches, salads, and pizzas,(which could feed two, especially with an app or salad, too,)are under are under twenty bucks. Service was prompt and friendly, and it's definitely a welcoming place to come hang out.Oh, and I almost forgot, and I have no review, but there is an on-site brewery as well. Some of the choices were quite interesting. Our hosts for the evening however were non drinkers, as we're my two boy scout guests, and figured I should be also, as I had a three hundred mile ride home scheduled after dinner. But next time, and there will be a next time, I'll sample a couple of those fresh brews, too.”

“Pizza in the area can be hit or miss but David's is always consistently delicious!! Nice thin crust, cheese has great flavor and the sauce is the perfect blend of savory and sweet. The hoagies are handmade sub rolls and loaded with fresh ingredients. We also enjoy their Stromboli as well. Easy ordering and quick service .. prices are reasonable too. Definitely a must check out joint!”

“I walked in with an appetite and was not disappointed. The food and ice cream was amazing! My husband and I split the salmon cake and meat sampler. In the meat sampler we got the pulled chicken, chopped brisket, pulled port, sweet sausage, ribs, and breaded chicken bites. Our favorites were the salmon cake, pulled chicken with zesty white sauce, chopped brisket with hot honey garlic bbq, and the sweet sausage. Everything was so good we ended up walking out with a zesty white sauce, hot honey garlic bbq sauce, and 1/2 gallon of teaberry ice cream. I will definitely be back!”

“We stopped in by chance and was not disappointed. Ordered more than we needed so we would have leftovers. Fantastic, thin crust pizza and fresh homemade sub rolls, nice and thin so you don't fill up with bread but packed with meat. The music is so relaxing. Will need to try an Italian dinner next time!”

“We walked in and totally felt like we were in a rock and roll band. You order at the counter and they are quick to bring out your beverages. The food was fresh and their home-fries were tasty. The service was great and they came to check on us once to make sure we were all set!”

“Great little ice cream and bakery under one roof. What more could a person want? We had the ice cream flight and every flavor we picked was delicious. I brought home the Soul Rolls, Rice Krispie treats, brownies, 1/2 dozen chocolate chip cookies (my favorite!), 1/2 dozen snickerdoodles and 1/2 dozen mini chocolate donuts. Everything was delicious. Only problem was the donuts were very dry and not a lot of flavor. The service was fabulous and the coffee was good as well. Will definitely be back.”

“cannolis and sfogliatelle are delic! coming from someone who lived closed the the bronx and little Italy. I know my pastries well, they are top notch. the bread is also excellent. thanks! and the one on front street. what. a nice view of the Susquehanna river to eat outside under a canopy. very nice. in a very good area on front street. prices are reasonable. staff is friendly living about an hour away will make the trip at least every 2 months to stock up on bread and get pastries. took almost 7 years for us to find this gem. everything we found to the east near Allentown was good but way too. expensive and not in best area. I tell you if you are a cannoli person you have to go it's a must the best one ive ever had and ive been to many Italian pastry shops in the bronx, Manhattan, westchester NY. will be visiting before every holiday. a tip - if you are gonna get there in late afternoon, call ahead to order bread, and pastries they will hold them for you in boxes/bags, because if not, they sell out early. I wasn't able to find a good not even decent bakery anywhere near where we live in any direction for miles. finally did. a little short trip but man is it worth it. we are so happy.”

“My family and I are from Texas and traveling from State College (visiting our daughter who is a student) and o airport in Philadelphia. I started looking for a place to eat on our route and found this restaurant. We weren't sure about it based on the looks of the building but we decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness, we LOVED it! The server was sweet and attentive and the food was delicious! The group had the chicken parm, Speedies, spaghetti, and the southwest chicken panini - all tasted amazing! Food portions are large, so plan to take home leftovers. Our only disappointment is that we live over 1600 miles from this great place!”

“While visiting family in the area we ordered dinner. As it was our first time ordering we opted for pizza, a hoagie and salad to get a good feel for the menu. The cheesesteak had great flavor and the grilled chicken salad was delicious as well. But the true star was the pizza. From the generous portions of the toppings to the "eat every bite" crust will make it our definite go-to when ordering take out.”
“Friday night with the guys ... flight of beers ... wings, smash burgers and grilled chicken Sammie's ... reasonable prices, good service and chill vibe. Live music regularly, but we were gone before they started so not sure how loud it gets.”

“The food was fresh! Yesterday I had the veggie pizza ( outstanding) Today I went back and tried the cheeseburger sub. Again excellent choice. Coming from a food service background, I’ve rated in many restaurants and many states. Fabio made sure that all was perfect. From the fresh bread to fresh ingredients ( you can taste the freshness) GRET JOB. Please please please go there on 3 rd street. ENJY”
“Stopped for lunch yesterday and had a Bobby G Not my first time. I've eaten here many times. I'm happy to say that nothing changes. I mean maybe something on the menu but the service and food are always amazing. If you don't know, the Bobby G is a sandwich with hot turkey breast, melted Swiss and provolone, Russian dressing, topped with sauerkraut on grilled Rye. 10 out of 10. would highly recommend!”

“I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This is a small, cozy and local restaurant. It feels like sitting in someone living room. Make reservations! The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Emailed Ruth for reservations and she was ver responsive even though I missed my original reservation. It was pricey but definitely worth it. Great for a date night. No complaints about my experience! I will come again! Something different that made this place stand out, when they bring you the check it's in a little notebook and you can weite a nice message about your experience. Nice touch. I guess that's why they call it "Note".”

“Im not impressed with tonight order. The food sat on the counter for 5 minutes while staff stood around and some needed hairnet while around standing by food .. 9 months ago-->This has been here around the 60's local spot. It has a 50 vintage vibe. The girls used to have roller skates. The rolls and sauce are different from the original burgers. The food is pretty decent, along with the treats of milk shakes, ice cream and etc. But yesterday and another day, my burgers were burnt, so the new cooks needed to pay attention. But please watch the flying traffic and park your car decently for other vehicles. It's a must to try.”
