“I had an unplanned layover in Philly and was stuck for the night at the La Quinta Inn. All I wanted was a few beers to ease my horrible day... I walked to the gas station down the street but no luck. I found this place on Yelp and showed up an hour before they closed. The bartender (Laura? Lauren? Laurel?) was so nice and sympathetic. I ventured out back and there was a nice group of people hanging out. A few beers and shots later and I felt much better. Laura(?) the bartender even gave me a lighter that I kept for the rest of my trip. And the rest of my trip didn't get much better and I almost had another lay over in philly on the way back... I wish it had happened because I would have revisited this place!“

“I celebrated my graduation this evening in this excellent restaurant. I am glad to say that we had a fine evening and the place was unquestionably the reason for the strong celebration. “I brought my dog here 2x so far and we absolutely love it here! The food is AMAZING! The staff are super friendly, attentive and go out of their way to get to know you and your pup to make sure everyone is having a great experience. We drive 1hr each way each time just to come here! “Visited for lunch on a sunny Sunday. Solid wine and beer list and fantastic food! The only downside was that there is limited seating and we were near the windows. The sun was streaming in and there was no window shade. Not only were we warm, we ate the whole meal with the sun in our eyes! “The honey soy garlic Korean fried Chicken was some of the best I have ever had, if not the best. The Banchan was very good. The Pickled Chayote and Radish (Mu) were the stars for me. The Kimchi was good, but a little too spicy for me (I should've put in on the grill and cooked it a bit). The corn-cheese sausage as amazing. The Brisket was amazing. Pork belly was very good too, but I wish they had some Shiso or Red Leaf, so I could make a ssam. The ssamjang was very doenjang forward. Not sure if they have more than one type, but I prefer mine with more gochujang. Overall, Pocha Street is a must try.“

“Great live storytelling event! Intimate space. Drinks were good. Try out the duck cheesesteak. It was delicious! Definitely an elevated cheesesteak. Duck was very tender. It came with fries they were ok. No salt and some were way too soft. I like a little crunch on the outside.“

“I recently worked as a photographer at this bar/restaurant space that was being used for a wedding. There is a small space in the back thats great for pictures and small parties. They also have a bar upstairs and ample parking across the street. The appetizers were delicious and creative. Its a nice venue to hold a small event or to have drinks/dinner.“

“Great food, however, the bar tender, Tom, is a real prick. Rude, condescending, arrogant. I used to frequent this place bc I know the owner, Randall. My first encounter with Tom, he was slow (like 12 mins before he even acknowledged me), and when he did, he slapped a menu in front of me and just walked away. I immediately say to him I just want a double Scotch, no food please. He gives me three side eyes and scoffs as he rips the menu off the bar. Then it took another 8 mins for him to pour my drink. As he sets my drink down, I say to him, "I'm done after this."He completely ignores me and doesn't check back until 15 mins after I've finished my drink. What was supposed to be a quick after work drink became a 40 min layover. What's amazing is, I was 1 of 4 people in the bar!!!I continued to go for a few more visits, but stopped bc of this arrogant man. What a D*CK.*UPDATED 4/19/2024*(Previously a 3 star review)So I recently came back to ottos to meet friends after work. Tom is no longer employed here. From what I heard, he was not only toxic to customers but also the staff as well.It's a shame how one person can ruin an establishment.“

“The food was fantastic! I recommend the calamari for an appetizer. Prime rib special was out of this world. It paired well with their signature old fashioned. To finish things off, I enjoyed the apple strudel dessert. The service was wonderful. Food was perfectly prepared and executed. Same goes for the drinks. “Fantastic beers! Keen (a dark mild) and Gully (IPA) are personal favorites but they have sooo many different varieties from sours to porters. Also love the wine, particularly the Pinot Gris, and my sister enjoyed the Riesling. The pizza is delicious, love the mushroom pizza and they usually have some kind of yummy special. The buffalo wings have a great heat and are juicy with plenty of meat—I don’t even like wings but these are ones I crave. Lots of veggie options, too—salads, yummy fried artichoke app, and pizzas. The ambiance is clean, colorful, and warm, and the service is always great. And they have soft serve with chocolate syrup!!“

“I couldn't wait to write this review after eating our delicious take out. We got cheesesteaks truffle fries banging shrimp and the Gibbstown famous mozzarella sticks. Everything was amazing! I'm so full I couldn't finish all mine so have some left for a snack or for tomorrows lunch. Thanks LOCAL for giving Gibbstown a true place to get great food. “This is easily the best new restaurant in the area. And it isn’t close. We’ve been to Tommy’s four times now, and everything we’ve had is excellent. I keep track of things we order at restaurants and this is what I had to say:Awesome cheesy garlic flatbread; very good half bbq chicken; best French dip ever; awesome fries; very good burgers; excellent sweet potato tots with marshmallow sauce; very good pizza; very good Caesar (get extra dressing); awesome Cherry Coke ribs; excellent pulled pork; great chips (get side of bbq); amazing toffee dessert.The staff is amazing. “I love this place bec they promote people to dance, even if a person has 3 left feet & they offer lessons! I sometimes feel intimidated bec everyone is so good on their feet! The professional couples that dance make it look awesome! They make you want to learn & they look so romantic!The food is what it is! They don't do fine dining & that's OK! The food is secondary for The Crab Tavern as it should be! This venue knows what works for them! My hats are off to them! The part to them focusing on the dancing, most songs they play are geared to folks wanting to dance & most of the time the floor always has people dancing! It's not like a regular club where the dance floor stays empty! Or worse yet, there are only females dancing by themselves! I'm not saying I don't understand why they do that! At a regular club, the females dance with each other bec the men are intimidated or don't know how to dance!Or they need a couple of drinks to loosen them up!“

The food is delectable and comes in good time. The alc isn’t badly priced, and always come with a smile from which ever bar tender serves us. Was a little confused about the set up at first if we wait for a server, order every thing at the bar, or get one can or bottle at a time and then pay for it at the bar. 3rd party BBQ kitchen was good for BBQ sandwiches. The bartender, Charlie, was personable which added to a pleasant experience. The kitchen has added some interesting items to the menu. We sat near the bar at a pub table, but they have a separate dining area where you could sit at a table away from the bar.“

“I live down the street from this place and I really enjoy coming here. It doesn't get too crowded and the drinks are really cheap. It is a smoking bar, so be prepared. They make great sandwiches, but the kitchen closes pretty early. The bartenders are always on point and nice, and the other patrons are friendly. They have shuffle bowling, pool, and darts, too. “Very nice and kind of rustic inside with the brick walls and table legs made out of old piping. Nice brick oven pizza oven makes the pizza extra special. The server made a delicious raspberry iced tea which wasn't in the menu just because I ask. Food and drinks came out quick and was very good.Parking: Lots of people in the strip mall and didn't seem like much parking. Even the strip mall next door was packed.“

The server was very polite and let us have a big table for our big group split up between the table and bar. We asked them to let us know if they needed to break up our big table and take any of the tables away, and they did, very politely, when it got more crowded. It was a very good experience. “Forever changing neighborhood this is a fairly decent dive bar. Shout out to Starmaid Shantay (sp)(Monday and Wednesday). The place is clean and people play great music from the 'jukebox'. This is an old school pace with two pool tables and a short food menu. I believe the same people own Rose Bar off of Island Ave. They have the standard Asian version of soul food, basically good fried wings with various fried rice on rotation. The Singapore Soup was just okay no tofu or chicken Would I go back? Yep during Happy Hour 5-7 Monday-Friday.“
