“This is one of my favorite places to get work done near Penn/Drexel’s campus. The atmosphere is great, with a mix of sunlight and greenery as well as areas that are more removed for a less distracting environment. Would definitely reccomend the food, as well. Especially an egg white and cheese croissant!“

“What a hidden gem!!! Absolutely DELICIOUS, FRESH food. The owner, Joe & chef Calvin were so friendly talking to us and explaining their decor and food. Between the warm welcome, the outstanding food and amazing staff they get a very strong 5 star review!! We will most definitely be back and will be bringing our 'brunch crew'! Thank you Joe & Calvin for going above & beyond for Lauren's birthday!“

“Just moved into the neighborhood & decided to take a walk. I saw this tucked inside a little shopping center & now I regret it. Should have stuck with Dunkin Donuts bc after eating an everything bagel w/cream cheese from there, I’m addicted. I almost walked back for another one it was that good AND I don’t want to be addicted to another carb. Lol. I more than likely will get my fix tomorrow. Great customer service & very friendly. I have a new bagel place.“

“I've tried Top Hat Coffee Lounge by the UPenn campus, but I'm glad I discovered this new location! It's definitely hidden within a plaza and is situated within the walkway as you exit Saks Fifth Avenue. While the space is small, there is still plenty to order in terms of drinks and several pastries as well. The staff greeted us with a very warm welcome and was patient while we decided on our drinks. My friend and I both ordered oat matcha lattes, which were delicious and tasted like high-quality matcha as we were told :) The added perk is that he did not charge us for substituting our milk with oat milk, so thank you for that!“

“A great place. Been open many years. Recently on TV for their Anniversary. Sometimes crowded but they are quick and move fast. You can get breakfast sandwiches all day which is a plus. Coffee very good, another plus. Only takes cash, no big deal to me. Grew up in South Philly and local neighborhood places the same. Got scrapple, egg & cheese, bacon, egg & cheese, peppers , egg & cheese. All outstanding. Owner Bruce and his wife working up front, working, greeting and monitoring everything.“

“Very nice quiet atmosphere. Very peaceful and I loved seeing the daughter and Mom duo. It's was refreshing to see considering I brought my daughter along with me. The Boba my daughter ordered wasn't sweet to her liking, and she was going to add additional sugar, however the owner called my daughter over to fix the drink. It's the little things and this business has it! ❤️“

“Delicious food, fresh ingredients, tasty coffee, and friendly service. My husband and I stopped in for our first visit and loved everything we ordered. You can tell they put a lot of care and attention into the quality of the ingredients and the options on the menu. We've officially found our local go-to breakfast spot!“
“Super cute place! Our Host was very welcoming and I'm sure if we had asked questions they would have been more than willing to answer any. The cats are all adorable and I can only hope they all become adopted. This was part of my child's 16th birthday gift and they told me afterwards that they had a blast. Very chill and laid back spot to sit, have some tea and play with cats. Easy to find. Clean! HIGHLY Recommend“

“The food was great but took a little while to bring out. It was okay because the service was amazing and everyone was very nice. The outdoor patio makes it really worth it either way fun games and a really nice ambiance. Would recommend for gatherings.“
“Gong cha is solidly okay boba - nothing to write home about but their tapioca is a good texture of chewy but not to chewy. The teas are too sweet for me at regular sweetness, so I recommend getting 50% sugar (regular is 75%). The service at this location is and a drink will average $7-8 with tax. They share the space with a to-go sushi restaurant and have a few tables inside, so you can grab dinner and a drink and sit and eat.“

“as long as quality coffee exists, cold wet gray days don’t make for the severe downer that they could be. stopped here before walking to Center City. ordered a large Americano—carefully crafted by the barista who took my order. the coffee was smooth and deep in flavor…served super hot which is a necessity on those chilly sun-less days. the service was pleasant. tbh, if i didn’t have a lunch destination, i would’ve ordered one of the signature liege waffle which look good. the cafe / coffee shop has plenty of seating with a warm yet modern feel whether you’re working, studying, or just need a moment of respite from the din of life. look forward to stop here during warmer days!“

“A true marriage between a coffee shop and cocktail bar. They serve traditional café fare here, as well as signature flavored lattes, craft coffee drinks, and many cocktails with a coffee or tea twist. Every week, there's also a new special on the menu. They also allow guests to bring food, so you can cozy up with a drink and some bites and hang out late into the night (which we have done many times!)Vegetarian options: Almost all drinks are vegetarian, and vegan milk alternatives are available upon request.“
“10/10 do recommend. Excellent pup cup served. Filled to the top and swirled with love. Non dairy so belly doesn’t get upset. Mom loves their coffee and generally picks up some baked goods as well. I can generally convince her to share. My favorite is the lemon cake.“

“So this place has a lot going for it but it can be better. What's good: - Deserts and pastry's are excellent. - Coffee and barista skills are superior to the other shops in media - styling and layout of the shop is unique, fun, and inviting What needs work : order execution - On two separate visits the quiche was not heated enough and there were cold spots. (They graciously fixed it though) - One time they gave me an oat milk latte instead of a whole milk latte. (Again they fixed it. ) -During yet another visit I waited 10 minutes for a latte...not because they forgot or were busy but because the orders in front of me had to be redone because they were wrong. It's a great place and I hope the owner reads this review to improve the training of the employees.“

“Stopped into Thunder Mug Cafe for a pick me up yesterday. I understand why it was named Philly's favorite coffee house. Apparently everyone else heard the news, too. The place was packed! “Absolutely love it here. Consistently good food, lovely staff, quick service. I recommend getting a croissandwich for salty with any of their pastries for sweet (chocolate almond is a favorite). The owners are often coming up with new flavors to try and cute presentations like the photo I’ll attach from around Christmas. Our go-to for getting a treat in town. I can’t recommend it enough.Vegetarian options: Croissants, croissandwiches , Bahn-mi“

“I usually place my orders online, but today I was nearby and really wanted to try a delicious impossible sausage breakfast sandwich. However, I wasn't aware that they only accept card payments. To my delight, the staff was kind enough to prepare the sandwich for me, and they even made me an iced mocha drink. The atmosphere of the place is fantastic, and the staff is very welcoming. I just wanted to express my gratitude for the delicious drink and sandwich.“

“I’ve been meaning to try this place for awhile and I’m glad I stopped in! Very friendly and accommodating staff and the owner was so welcoming and kind. He spent the time to greet my baby and me and even made a complimentary Greek yogurt and fruit dish for my baby. The food was so fresh and delicious. The coffee was very good as well. Felt like a small town cafe. Will be coming back every time I’m in the area! I hope they open another restaurant in Delaware County.“

“Vault and Vine created beautiful arrangements for my wedding. We ordered bouquets, a couple table arrangements, and boutonnières. They were all unique but looked like part of the same ensemble, which was perfect. After an in depth conversation about our style and the feel of the event, they pulled together the perfect arrangements. They delivered on time to the venue and payment on line was easy. If you’re looking for flowers for your next event, definitely check out Vault and Vine.“

“Buna Cafe is such a gem in the neighborhood. I’ve not had a chance to dine in yet, but their food via delivery has been outstanding. It’s always well-presented and carefully packaged, which just isn’t the case for all food deliveries. I’ve tried a number of the vegan sides, but I’ve found my groove with the veg platter, and it just makes me so happy! The shiro is amazing—smooth and creamy and so flavorful! I sometimes get it as a side in addition to the platter to have some to enjoy the next day. Definitely worth a visit or placing an order!“

“The food is so inexpensive yet delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are always good and the chicken nuggets are amazing. The vanilla filled donuts are a favorite as well, very fresh. They made a mistake on our order once and we went back and they fixed it no problem. Highly recommend, it's a great little shop!“
“My favorite coffee shop in the area. The unique flavors are really fun, and they've all been good so far. The brown sugar cold brew with ube sweet foam was amazing. I'm always in and out really fast with to go orders... I find myself waiting longer for Dunkins, and it's not half as good as this is. But it's also a nice place to hang out in and read.“
“SERIOUSLY good espresso on Penn’s campus. I take my espresso very seriously and this place does too. The baristas prep the espresso really well and the lattes, cortados, and cappuccinos are smooth, delicious, and flavorful. I recommend every coffee lover come here for a good drink and studying. I personally rank this among my favorites in the Ucity area.“

“Great, old time ice cream place. This would be the perfect spot to visit after a baseball game!I took my kids for an ice cream on a lazy Sunday afternoon this summer. The place was packed! However, the line moved fast.My younger son ordered the mint chocolate chip ice cream and my older son tried the moose tracks. (I took a taste of both)The mint chocolate chip was so delicious, it reminded me of ice cream I got from a little candy shop up in Northern Wisconsin when I was a kid. My older son said that their moose tracks was the best he's ever had.We will definitely go back!Only wish they had some gluten free cones or cookies.“

“The food and Boba are so tasty, if you go you must get the chicken gyosas. I rated the food a 4 though because sometimes when I get drinks, they need a bit more flavor. Like the fruity flurry and coffee tasted a but plain, but other than that the food is amazing. On the tack with the snacks, there is mochi too and the chocolate flavor is to die for. All the food is a must-have for a low price. The service is quick and very nice too. The atmosphere is also so great because they have comfy sofas and games to play which is really fun. This is definitely my go to place for a quick drink or a place to hang out with friends.Vegetarian options: I'm not sure because I never really lookKid-friendliness: Really nice people who treat kids just like other adults (not in a bad way)Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs so should be fine :)“

“Love Rival Bros! The new espresso lemonade (Highline) is delicious but I got a lesson in chemistry today when i stirred the two layers together. “Great breakfast-all-day spot conveniently located in Brewerytown. It’s a great option if you’re visiting the Please Touch Museum too. I appreciated the healthy menu. Halal is a plus. “Very boutique. Maybe I was there at an odd hour but there were no basic pastries offered. The options were very intricate and the ingredients were not obvious which made it hard to decide. I could have easily been satisfied with a fresh donut or pound cake. I ended up with a chocolate beignet which was too much chocolate for my preference.“
