“We came for dinner with a group of 16 while in town for a swim meet. Some restaurants struggle with large groups but not this place! Our waitress was absolutely fantastic at making sure everyone had what they needed. The atmosphere was perfect for a group. The main takeaway from the entire group was that the FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! Two of the chefs, Alec and Quinn, came out to the table to make sure everything was ok and even answered questions about some of the dishes. The adults were loving the crafted cocktails and the kids loved the desserts! If you’re looking for a farm to table style restaurant that provides great service and pays attention to all the details-this is it!”

“The food is always very good here, but the service for our dinner for Valentine's Day was poor. We ordered appetizers and had to ask for small plates to put the food on. We shared a dinner dish and had to ask for bowls to allow us to share and for spoons to serve the curry dish that was mostly sauce (which was not a problem). The fact that we had to ask for these items when it was obvious they would be needed was a disappointment.”

Still an amazing place even 25 years after moving out of PA. Never have found a place that serves prime rib with that amazing demi glaze! Hoping we might make it back by our 40th.”

“We had the pleasure of dining at Gigi’s for dinner recently. The menu is very creative containing dishes we haven’t experienced previously. Quite an array of different cocktails that were creative as well. The food was excellent, but I’d say the drinks were a bit on the small size with the one large ice cube helping to make it look like a more generous pour. The different Old Fashioned drinks ranged from $14-$20, which I felt excessive. I’d call the atmosphere “spirited “ as it certainly was not quite fine dining. I would go back without hesitation.”

“I love Crumbl, always go to the state College store, never any issues, great kids, BUT good golly, teach them how to acknowledge, greet and speak. Sheesh. These kids were mute, didn’t even speak to each other. So awkward. The one kid, stood there, dipping something and looking out of the corner of his eye, like nobody’s even making any eye contact, not even turning their head. The kid who handed me the cookies, pleasantly spoke, was very nice. But they def could benefit from “people skills 101””

The atmosphere, staff and venue were absolutely perfect. Both Jessica and Mark went above and beyond to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch. And the food was to die for! Every step of the wedding planning process, Jessica worked with us to make sure our wedding day so special and everything we hoped it to be. On the day of, Mark went above and beyond to carry out our vision and make it perfect. Their hospitality was more than anyone could have asked for and we will forever recommend this venue to all.”

“The manager Jasmine Corey went above and beyond to help us in addressing an issue with our order. She was so kind and willing to help! Our 1/2 ham tasted a bit off, as it was far too salty, even a few layers deeper. I felt bad having to bring it back in for an exchange, but Jasmine alleviated my embarrassment. She even surprised me by taking different hams to the back to cut off pieces for me to try. That ensured we got a good ham, and sure enough this ham tasted so much better! The replacement ham we got this year brought back all of our fond memories of Honey Baked Ham. I really appreciate that our local store is run by Jasmine. She is the hero who saved our Thanksgiving feast. 😊”

“Stopped into Cluck and Catch on a rainy day and was seriously impressed! I ordered the haddock plate, which came with two sides. I got the fries and mac and cheese. Everything was top-notch.

The haddock was massive, perfectly crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, some of the best fried fish I’ve had locally.

The tartar sauce deserves its own shoutout: flavorful, tangy, and easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The mac and cheese was made with real cheese, seasoned beautifully (not spicy, just flavorful), and incredibly creamy. The fries were golden, crunchy, and just right.

The service was equally great! The guy at the counter was super helpful and kind, making the whole experience even better. The place was nearly full when I arrived, which speaks volumes.

Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking for a great local spot to eat, Cluck and Catch is definitely worth checking out. I’ll absolutely be back!”

“I was there this morning and one person (I think he said his name was Aman) was running the whole place by himself. And it was busy! I know this happens by chance sometimes, but this guy was pumping out drinks, serving food, and taking orders seamlessly and without attitude.

Kudos, dude! You deserve the biggest raise allowed.”

“I ordered online and the service was quick. My portion was huge and the order was made correctly. The bowl was so big it took me 5 hours to eat it. I paid $11 for two proteins and they stuffed the bowl to the rim. I got spicy salmon, but it didn’t taste or look any different from normal salmon? I also got a mango green tea, it tasted pretty average. But the seafood and the toppings tasted fresh, I recommend a build your own bowl and adding pineapple especially.

UPDATE: I placed another order for bowl and brown sugar boba. The bowl fine and tasty, but the boba was terrible. The boba tasted like it was sitting for a couple hours, very hard and not chewy at all. The milk also tasted bit sour for some reason. Cannot reccomend getting any of their boba drinks. Ended up throwing it away.”

“Three weeks ago my wife and I ordered the Saturday Prime Rib. The food was excellent and the price was exceptionally reasonable. A week later we tried the Prime Rib buffet at the Penn Stater Gardens. First the price was double that of Celebrities and the Prime Rib was only half as good. This past Friday we returned to Celebrities. My wife felt like having something different and the menu did not disappoint. If your looking for great food at a reasonable price you'll find it at Celebrities. We go out to eat once a week and this is the best we have found in the State College area.”

“This hotel is a solid option for this side of town. We stay here when visiting my family at the retirement home directly across the street. Clean room, comfy beds, small but clean bathroom. Good work space. Small fridge but no microwave. Coffee pot in the room. They serve breakfast made to order in the lobby, but we didn't eat there, so I cannot comment on the food. Didn't use the indoor pool, but it looked like a good option for swimming a few laps. Adequate parking spaces available. My feeling is that the price point is just a bit high for what you get, the only fault I can find with this hotel.”

“I love Green Bowl! I always get the buffet and make small bowls so I can mix and match and try new combinations. I always go hungry and I certainly get my money's worth. I've taken friends, coworkers and family and I've never had a bad experience. You can also watch your food sizzle on the giant wok if that is something you'd like to do. While I don't have any allergies, they are always pro-active in asking and separating out the meals who do have allergies or dietary restrictions.”

“Had a great lunch today. Ribs were delicious along with the sides. Our waitress Jese was terrific! Answered questions about food, made recommendations, and was pleasant. Sorry I don’t live in the area because I’d return!”

“Had lunch there today as part of our office's quest to find the best pizza in State College. I was impressed with their new lunch menu that let's you pick from 3 crusts and any toppings by the slice at a reasonable price. The flakey crust was unconventional but very tasty. I went to the Hi-Way downtown in college but have largely forgotten it but was pleasantly surprised today and will go back for lunch much more often. Will they win our office vote for the best pizza? Not sure but I suspect they are in the running.”

“Some of the best wings I’ve had — great flavor options, sauces that actually stick, and the wings stay crispy instead of getting soggy. Portions are solid and everything tastes fresh and well-made.Only downside is the service flow: it can take around 5–7 minutes before someone gets to you for ordering or pickup, especially during busy times. There’s also no dedicated online order rack, so pickup customers may need to wait in line or get staff attention.Overall though, the food quality makes it absolutely worth the wait and money”

“Visiting from out of town for a football game and decided on Champs for some pre-game noms. Service was decent and quick. Big establishment with tons of seating suitable to all group sizes. Plentiful TV's with all the games on. Food was tasty... Spicy wings weren't spicy at all but still yummy. Unfortunately fries were the only meat/dairy free option so maybe not the best for those with dietary restrictions... Definitely a good game day spot though.”

“Staff was exceptional! Served 20 people in the short 10 minutes we were there, and continued to be pleasant. The only downside is that Starbucks does not have a card tipping option at this location. Shame on Starbucks, these people deserved it.”

“Although there is a long line many days - the staff does a great job of staying on top of it and smiling through. And...when mobile app equipment was down and they had no way of telling people ordering...drinks were put first upon your arrival and free for the inconvenience. Keep up the good work - being across the street from 46K students and 20K employees makes this a very busy Starbucks!”

“Passing through the area we randomly arrived at this Subway. Didn't realize that it would be right across the street from the university. We were a bit pensive that Subway would be packed with students, but at 2 o'clock I guess they were still in their classrooms because the restaurant was almost empty. Walking in we noticed how clean/spotless this place was. Kudos to the staff for that. We ordered our favorite sandwiches and sat down to eat. While we were eating, one of the employees stopped by our table and asked if everything was good and if we need anything else. That NEVER happens in any of the other Subways in which we've eaten from coast to coast. We did get a good chuckle when he commented that we were the oldest people he's seen inside this Subway in a looooooong time 8-) I would estimate that my wife and I have eaten at Subway across the US north to south and east to west well over 200 times during our travels, and we really love the consistency of quality, ambiance and taste at every Subway except for one that we have been to. Can't say that about any other chain food establishment. That's why we always seek out mom & pop places for breakfast and dinner, but head to Subway if we decide we need a sandwich in the middle of the day.”

“Since first trying the amazing beverages here at 7 Brew I have been helped 3 out of the 4 trips by a wonderful employee, Nick, who has continuously offered recommendations and advice about the drinks I get and has such a great knowledge of the menu. I went last evening and had no idea what I was ordering but I told Nick what flavor profile I was going for and I was hooked up with an AMAZING cookie butter blondie and I'm so thankful because it was one of the best iced coffees I've ever had. So thankful for the amazing service and all of the staff there that offer wonderful recommendations each time I go! Thanks Nick!!”

“Great industry bar, very friendly staff unless you break the rules. You will be thrown out without hesitation (yes I've been kicked out a few times, it was always my fault). I will always come back, special shout out to Sam for being a great up and coming bar tender in the area.

Super creative drunk selection, id argue they have the most custom drinks out of any bar. Karaoke on Sundays can be really fun. If you're looking to spend money on top shelf just ask they have some super expensive alcohol they don't display.”
