“A truly unique atmosphere! Had a cigar & whiskey in the cigar lounge which was a really unique (speakeasy) like experience.Dining room was very comfortable. It’s an open concept but it’s not loud. Menus are tablets which can dial in allergies or certain profiles you’re looking for with food, wine, liquors & cigars. You can tell a lot of thought went into the little details. Which is impressive.Dinner- venison loin was cooked perfectly & everything that was on the plate tasted great. Sommelier provided great wine recommendations for courses. Server was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!“

“I walked in and immediately love the quiet and elegant atmosphere. I tried their scallop shrimp risotto, pork chops, tartar, pate. The pork chops were well cooked and tender. But other parts of the chop were a little dry and salty. The risotto was creamy as I expected. The tartar was lean and flavorful. I think the only dish I thought was lacking was the dessert - sponge cake. Definitely wasn’t my cup of tea.The service was amazing and the fact that you get to see the professional chefs move to make these amazing dishes- I love it.“

“Looking for that truly special restaurant? Spork in Garfield is it! I can't stop thinking about our experience at this chef-led restaurant. This isn't just a restaurant, it's a culinary experience. What sets this place apart is the farm to table ingredients and truly special preparations; which creates dishes that are so dynamic and interesting. The team works with small producers, grows some of their own produce + herbs, and mills their own grain for house made bread. My favorite sip was the "So Long Frankie Louise" cocktail and my favorite bite was the homemade bread roll. When you get a reservation here expect out of this world food & service plus:- Truly great alcohol free options including mocktails, zero proof beer & wine Surprise bites throughout your meal.- Lots of choice & small plates - great for the table to try a little of a variety of dishes.- This is such a unique spot to book for that special occasion.Definitely go hungry and be prepared to be well nourished!“

“The food was very tasty but the main reason we were there was for the drinks which were absolutely amazing. The grog was my favorite. There are so many different ways to make a rum drink taste and they mastered them all. Service was cheerful and friendly. The place actually looked like it could be on an island with all he tiki statues everywhere. Excellent stop.“

“The Speckled Egg in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a hidden gem that deserves a spotlight on the food map. From the moment you enter the charming and welcoming space, you are transported to a world of exceptional cuisine and top-notch hospitality. The menu at The Speckled Egg is a carefully curated selection of dishes that showcase the best of American comfort food with a contemporary twist. One standout dish that I tried was the chicken and waffles, which was expertly crafted with perfectly crispy fried chicken and fluffy waffles that were simply divine. The dish was elevated with a drizzle of rich and flavorful maple syrup, making for a truly unforgettable culinary experience. In addition to the chicken and waffles, I also had the pleasure of trying the avocado toast, which was a fresh and healthy take on a classic breakfast staple. The avocado was perfectly ripe and paired beautifully with the tangy pickled onions and perfectly poached egg.The service at The Speckled Egg is also exceptional, with friendly and knowledgeable staff that are passionate about the food they serve. The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes for a truly enjoyable dining experience that will leave you feeling both satisfied and inspired.Overall, The Speckled Egg is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for exceptional cuisine and top-notch hospitality. “Wonderful cocktails, but I especially love the Gingerade, which is spicy fresh ginger and I can't get enough of it. Besides the front bar, there is a large event space in the back which is quite versatile. This place has reasonable prices, and a commitment to sustainability through recycling and reuse. The staff are amazing and welcoming.“

“Can’t rate this place high enough. Every time my family has dined in we are treated like family and leave with full bellies and happy hearts. We love to come as large groups and order from their Family style menu for larger portions to charge. The Roman pizza is unique in the area and we love it. The homemade pasta divine is our favorite. The espresso martinis are made with in-house vanilla infused vodka and real espresso! 20 drafts on tap! Wine on tap for Prosecco floats?! We always make sure to save room for the best gelato in the states! So many tasty options. We recommend the Wild Italian Cherry and the Orange Julio with candied oranges. The sweat cream topped with espresso affogato style is to die for ? The whole team are rockstars. Reservations are easy to make and change online. We love the clean open kitchen and the vibe of the dining room space as well as the bar.Kid-friendliness: Foosball table!Wheelchair accessibility: Multiple entryways, ramp to bar“

“I visited acacia for the first time and really loved their cocktails. I was afraid that without reservations, the wait would be too long. But even on a Saturday evening in Southside, we easily got a table at 8:30pm. I got The Architect which was spicy and refreshing. The service is amazing and they will make any drink off the menu as well. I asked for a Mai Tai and got the best one I've ever had. Definitely recommend this bar to go to with friends. The ambience is also easy-going and chill for catching up with friends or relaxing after a long day.“

“I moved away from Pittsburgh a couple years ago and I always regretted not trying Scratch & Co. I finally got a little reunion group together for brunch when I came back in town for a wedding, and I was blown away. The decor is charming, artful, and full of thoughtful antique restoration mixed with modern touches. The food was absolutely fantastic, I had the smash burger and also tried the bagel with schmear and shakshuka. So rare to find really good bagels in Pittsburgh and Scratch & Co. has them! I had an old fashioned donut as well which was also awesome. And the service was perfection as well. We had a great time, I can't wait to come back, I only wish I had made it more often before I left.“
“My husband and I had a great time experiencing The Puttery for the first time. We had the unlimited package and played five rounds of golf. This includes three 9 hole courses that you can play as many times as you choose. We also took advantage of the food and drinks. Drinks are allowed on the course and each hole has a stand for you to rest your drinks while you putt. For dinner I had the appetizer, potato flautas, and my husband had the BBQ bacon burger. Each were delightful. The decor on the courses and throughout the building was so much fun. I really enjoyed the different seating selections for dining as well. Linda was the host for the Garage course the day we were there. She was super sweet and seemed to love her job so much! We would recommend this place to many and would definitely come again if we are in Pittsburgh .“
“Great hidden treasure for sure, head into the elevator and solve a puzzle to get in then the real magic happens. The atmosphere is amazing, the bartender and his drinks are even better! Menu drinks are top notch and made with precise care. 2nd time there a will be back many more!“

“It was a very nice experience with a live band. 3 different bands the night I went, and the talent was pretty good here. They are seasoned bands that I've experienced. The staff is very attentive, and we lacked nothing but the end of the night. The food was delicious with attractive presentations. A unique drink menu leaving for something to explore. Very nice decor and ambiance. A charge to be seated at a table near the stage, which is perfect for date night or something more cozy. Though a bit tight, the clientele fit the atmosphere, so it doesn't feel as tight. For more solo nights, still a comfortable scene. As well bar seating is available that still has visibility to the stage if you don't want to be completely in the mix. Recommended experience!“

“Tried but couldn't get a table at Piccolo Forno - owned by the same folks as Grapperia Bar Classico. Instead, we ordered take out from Piccolo Forno and ate at the bar. The bar staff were awesome! They provided us plates and silverware and were very welcoming. They have a good wine selection and an even better selection of different varieties of grappa and amaro. Definitely give Grapperia Bar Classico a try when you're in Pittsburgh!“

“The summit has been one of my favorite places since the day it opened. They have hands down the BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had. (I literally call and ask if they have it, believe me, if you know, you know!) they have the most creative cocktails and an amazing staff. I love the chill vibe with candles and dim lights. I newly found an extreme love for their smash burger as well. I'll be back, often!“

“We (couple) had a great dinner at Bridges & Bourbon. The service and atmosphere were great. We booked a day-of reservation and could only get in for dinner at 8:45pm but we didn't mind terribly. It was the St Patrick's Day parade that day so perhaps was busier than normal. We started with the shrimp and salad, both were good but not amazing. I had the smash burger and my partner had the streak - the mains were great. We ended with the tiramisu cheesecake, not what I was expecting (it was in a small ramekin) and more of a mousse than a cheesecake, but it was a nice light sweet to end our meal. I don't drink but the cocktails they were making looked very cool. On the pricier side but for a special night out I think it's justifiable!“

“Restaurant is actually accessible (not just "pittsburgh accessible" lol), no entrance stairs and it's all on one floor, including bathrooms and outdoor space. There is a parking lot across the street with curb cuts but it crosses a pretty steep street. Food is decent gastro pub fare (I think they have a gluten free fryer but not 100% sure) and the staff act like they are happy to have you.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is one floor no stairs“

“The food at this place as absolutely great. We always compare food with the best Mexican restaurant we’ve ever been to (in Arizona) and this is the closest competitor we’ve had so far. The guacamole was great, so were the deserts. The one complaint we had was the music is so loud it’s hard to talk with people at your own table. We wish the music was a little quieter. Other than that, it was great!Parking: We had to park at the bank. It’s pretty difficult to find parking unfortunately.“
“We came after a Pittsburgh Steelers game. After being in the cold and rain, what an amazing experience. The beer is phenomenal and the cocktails are amazing. The couches and chairs are a great place to watch a game. Amazing time can’t wait to come back. Thank you Trevor and Daren!“

“My friend and myself both got burgers, they were cooked as ordered, the fries were good. Service was prompt and attentive. I've been here a few times now and haven't been disappointed. “Gordo's is great! Let me preface this review by saying I love Nashville Hot Chicken but outside of Nashville, TN is has been difficult to find a "hot" chicken that compares to what I've had in Tennessee. Some other places around the Burgh have Nashville Hot Chicken but the spice combinations don't work. At Gordo's the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco is so good with a perfect spice blend. It tastes like hot chicken tacos that I had at Pie Town Tacos in Nashville. Gordo's is the place in Pittsburgh to satisfy your hot chicken craving. Not to mention, their other menu items are delicious too. And they have great margs. My second favorite menu item is the Churoli- A churro and cannoli hybrid that rocks!“

“This is a fantastic restaurant serving creative pizzas, salads, appetizers and an assortment of entrees ranging from brisket Mac and cheese (my favorite) to salmon, steak and sometimes duck. A very nice feature is that every salad can be bought as a half portion. They do not take reservations, so it's walk in only, but we had no wait getting a party of 7 in around 5 pm. They do get busy by 6. The carnivore, Mediterranean and Forest pizzas are great. The Calabrian could have used more Calabrian chilis. Anything with the house smoked pork belly (bacon candy, BLT salad, carnivore, pesto) is worth getting. My favorite, though is the brisket Mac and cheese. As I wrote in my blog on the best restaurant mac and cheese dishes across the country, "This comes in a hearty ceramic bowl featuring fresh cavatappi spirals in a white cheddar sauce, punctuated by wood-smoked beef brisket, caramelized onions, and a perfectly balanced deep red, tart-sweet barbecue sauce."Service is fabulous. Our waiter did separate checks for our table, and made up a version of southern sweet iced tea using simple syrup for my husband. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants to enjoy before a show in the cultural District.“

“Enjoyed a really tasty meal here with my husband. Our server was very friendly and attentive! We enjoyed the beer, cocktail, and soju selection. I had a pandan high ball that was delicious and had a nice presentation. Our fried chicken was excellent - we tried several of the sauces, sides, and a la cart menu items and enjoyed everything. The kimchi and scotch egg were also standouts! I look forward to coming back and perhaps sitting at the bar to try more dishes and cocktails. It's also a small touch - but I appreciated the chopsticks and cutlery for dining. Everything had a nice weight tk it and it made the meal feel more thoughtful than disposable chopsticks I might have initially expected from an open kitchen and casual, comfortable atmosphere. I appreciate the upgrade!“

“Read the mini bio/mission statement of young Luke Wholey at the front of the restaurant; so charming and somehow makes you feel personally connected. The food we ordered was cooked very well with great freshness, flavor and seasoning. The fish and oysters were excellent. We had the unexpected opportunity to meet and speak with R. Wholey who was very generous with his time in answering questions about the history of the family business. What a treat!Personally observed LW with a broom in hand and doing a quick clean of the stairs then also acting as greeter and host as guests came in. It was our first visit, hopefully not the last, and I hope the restaurant continues to have success and longevity much like the related Wholey's fish market and grocery store down the block.“

“Alla Famiglia is a hidden gem!! The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make recommendations. Our server Audra guided us through the menu, and we decided to start with the Fried Provolone, smoked to perfection. For our main course, I ordered the gorgonzola filet mignon which was cooked to perfection. The gorgonzola sauce added a rich and creamy flavor that was simply divine. We had options for pasta: vodka sauce or the cacio e Pepe. We opted into the cacio e pepe this time around, highly recommend! They make it right in front of you in a giant parmesan wheel. Overall, our experience at Alla Famiglia was outstanding. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.“

“Updated review since coming for dinner on a Sunday night when our other plans fell through, and neither of us wanted to cook. We had a GREAT time sitting at a high top by the bar. I enjoyed my cocktail. The kale salad was delicious and so large we got four servings out of it (one each for dinner, and again with our leftovers). Look at hubby mugging over this enormous tower of food that is the Dante's Beak "handheld" with a Nashville hot chicken thigh. (It is very hot--they're not lying.) And then there were the pumpkin gnudi: so soft, so creamy, so pillowy. Alas, they didn't travel or heat up well, but in the moment, they were heavenly. Prices were fair for service, food, drink, and ambience. Men's room is at the back, women's room is on the righthand side of the dining room. We'll definitely return when we're in Regent Square again.“
