“This is sch a nicely renovated historic building. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The food was presented beautifully and was plentiful. Our bill was reasonable, and the waitress was friendly and informative without being intrusive. They offer drink specials and have live music on occasion. It's really a nice place to frequent.“

“Came out here from ri , was starving after the long ride and decided to stop here. looked like they were closing but they sat us anyways which was appreciated, we didn't even look at the menu the girl listed somethings that sounded good and we were like "yeah we'll have w.e that is " the burger sliders were so good and juicy , drinks were great , prices was fair. Hostess was nice and attentive. 10/10“

“This is truly a hidden gem you can blink and pass it. I was hungry and pulled in on the journey from Long Island to my house in Honesdale. Where is fear is very charming and gives you the feeling of going back in time. I strolled in a little after 4 o'clock when they open and found out that they have an early bird for $15.99. I said at the bar and Ordered Cajun seafood. I cannot believe in this day and time how much food and of what grade quality I had for 1599. He dinner rolls or something you would have at a five star restaurant the salad was perfect and the seafood was perfect I am back here now one week later enjoying the same experience“

“I've been at The Heron 5 times over the past 7 years, 3 of them in the past half year. The quality of the food is really good and the portions are large. It's a bit pricey, but they don't skimp. The service is efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is nice, but a bit cramped since it's very popular. The hours are somewhat limited--it stops serving food by 8 p.m. Reservations are recommended!“

“White owl is a hidden treasure! Don't let the roads leading there discourage you. A short drive from New Yorks Sullivan county or NEPA; and well worth it! They have a generous bar so you can enter the dining room from the middle door and skip the crowd. Our server Riellie was friendly, professional and attentive. She explained the menu items perfectly. Our group had the Atlantic haddock, rib eye steak, ny strip and chicken schnitzel. Delish! Cooked and seasoned perfectly- we even raved over the fresh veggies! Perfectly portioned so we could enjoy a yummy dessert. Our Monday dinner out was fantastic! Can't wait to go back on a Friday or Saturday for their prime rib special! Our new love is white owl.“
