“Good Italian food is rare in York. I grew up in an Italian family and community with many Italian eateries, so I may be more particular than locals. I liked the food, but I don't feel it was worth the prices. I've had better for less $. My Italian wedding soup was barely warm and was 90 percent salty pasta and maybe 10 percent meatballs and greens. The salad had a nice balance of flavors. My guest enjoyed the veal Marsala. The table bread was tasty. Service was slow because they were slammed and understaffed. The staff were hustling and keeping up the best they could. The room was loud and it was difficult to hear conversation.“

“A long time favorite for many locals for a very long time! Great, FRESHLY baked (on site) soft pretzels. In addition to the "standard" pretzel shape, Smittie's offers large pretzel "sticks" and bite-sized as well. (Also miscellaneous items like soda/ non alcoholic drinks).The location is a renovated, roadside type stand, (look for the white "lighthouse" on top) and has very friendly staff. Smittie's is well worth the time to stop in and enjoy a local, traditional treat.Smittie's is in the northern, rolling hills of York County, PA. The road (PA Route 74, just north of Dover, PA) is often used by area residents in the Autumn for good fall foliage viewing. The nearby Gifford Pinchot State Park is worth visiting for pretty views any time of year!NOTE: Parking is a bit tricky at times (just depends on random timing, space for a few cars) and is just off a well paved roadway (PA Route 74), northbound side. (The road is not divided, so you can access the parking lot from southbound or northbound).“

“I had the all in breakfast combo. Extra bacon. Eggs over easy. Everything was absolutely perfect. Eggs on point. French toast was slightly crispy and not too much powdered sugar on top. Bacon was perfectly cooked how I like it (crispyyy.) Hashbrowns were nice and crispy and salted just enough. I’ll definitely be back here again for this meal. “I had a Take-out lunch since there is no Dine-in at this Restaurant. We ordered the General Tso Chicken from the Lunch menu. We also ordered Pork fried rice and a small Shrimp Lo Mein. Egg rolls were included with our entree. The food was very good with generous portions. Service was good , but it would've been nice to dine in. Location is a bit different due to traffic. We entered via Bannister St. and exited onto Carlisle. You can only exit onto Carlisle going East.“

“We love Stony Run Brew House! Our “go to” place for great food, atmosphere and prices. Recently saw they have a small banquet space and booked it for a surprise birthday party with over 30 guests. They knocked it out of the park! They could not be more accommodating and so many people who live in the area commented they can’t believe they’ve never been there and they would be back for sure! I can’t thank Tim and his staff enough for the most amazing job!“

“A nice little local bar/restaurant. We stopped here to grab a bite to eat. My gf had Maryland crab soup which she said was really good. Then she had the crabby fries, which were also really good. I had the big jims burger with added bacon and homemade chips. The burger and chips were good. My only complaint is that I had char on my burger and could taste the grill in a couple spots(which was gross and unappetizing) I give my visit provably a 4.5 because everything else but the char on my burger was delicious. Service was good, our server was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back here in the future. Maybe put in a please seat yourself sign for future customers at the door, we weren't sure what to do once we walked in the restaurant side“

“I need to do an update on my original review: we had a party of 5 people to celebrate my son's 23rd birthday this past Sunday evening. Two of us ordered cream of crab soup. It was like flavored water. Only 2-3 pieces of crab meat in an entire bowl and it ran off the spoon because it was so thin. Our waiter NEVER refilled our drinks. My son ordered a lemonade, but it was never delivered.On top of the poor service, an automatic 20% tip was added. There's no way our waiter deserved over a $40 tip.Nice portion sizes. We enjoyed the crab quesadilla, Kent Island Chicken with Crab Melt and a Cowboy Burger. Both sandwiches were served with hand-cut french fries. We arrived at 11:00am, by noon the restaurant was halfway full.“
