“Lovely little boardgame cafe, the owners are super friendly and willing to teach boardgames or have a chat. The hot/iced matcha latte and turkey sandwhiches are always delicious. Ive also tried the frappes, and the lavender tea, which are both very good as well! They have Azul and Patchwork which are great boardgames if you only have 30-45 mins. Coup is also a good 15 mins bluffing game for 4+ players. They also have an assortment of unique types of puzzles. The atmosphere is relaxing and bright, and there is lots of parking available.”

“Went here tonight for our 3-year wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect! We had a nice corner table looking out on Queen Street. Appetizers were delicious (1/2 dozen raw oysters, steak bread 2.0) oysters were so fresh, they didn't even really need the accoutrements. Steak bread was outstanding, and came recommended by a friend. For our mains we both had steak (Ribeye and Striploin Special). Both were cooked perfectly and the flavour was amazing. Sides were piping hot and generous! No room for dessert, but we may have stopped for a scoop of cows on the way home (everyone knows ice cream melts in the cracks). Can't recommend highly enough for a date or special night out. We will be back!”

“Dined here mid-October Tuesday evening. Our excellent waiter Will started us off with drinks and 2 appetizers, Mussels and Fried Calamari. My Spouse ordered Spinach Salad for her entrée. I got the Lobster Roll. We split the Sticky Date pudding for dessert. All the food was excellent. Recommend eating here when in the Charlottetown downtown.”

“This is my first time in Charlottetown, PEI, and I was highly encouraged to try this place. My impression of the pizza is that it's very good, but not $25 for a small pizza good. I've had much better pizza elsewhere for a better price, so I have mixed feelings about Piatto. If the pizza was $15, then I'd say it's worth it, but $25 is crazy.

The pizza is light and crispy. Nice amount of cheese to sauce ratio. Crust isn't too heavy, so that's a plus. Although the pepperoni looks strange, it tasted good. Not overly greasy. Not undercooked. Done just right.

The staff is phenomenal. I had interactions with three lovely people, and they all made me feel welcome.

The atmosphere is nice, but I just prefer a less open concept when dining. I don't like sitting at a table where there's a lot of people all around me, but that's just a personal preference.

4/5 overall. I'd likely eat there again, but will try other places first.”

“Such a gem to have the Culinary Institute in town! You cannot find this type of menu anywhere else, especially one that rotates through the year! It’s always lovely to meet the students in training and be absolutely delighted by the wonderful menus they are preparing. Delightfully pleasant service, fantastic food (everything from the bread to the dessert!) and overall lovely atmosphere!

“We visited on Halloween so it was rather quiet. The dog and hockey player (costumes) were very accommodating and entertaining as well! Food was spot on and the atmosphere was so cozy. The dog/server recommended a hard root beer and we loved it! Great beer selection too. Highly recommend!!”

“Dropped in while touring Charlettown – we got right in and sat at the perfect table, it was inside but with the windows/doors open, it felt like you were outside but temp was it was much cooler. Service was quite spotty – it took a long time to get water and drink orders but eventually someone showed up. It didn’t even seem that busy, there were plenty of staff hovering around the back bar. I ordered the BBQ Burger with a Caesar salad– wife ordered the salmon and easy kid order a cheese burger with fries and difficult kid order the nachos. BBQ Burger was delicious, and the cesar salad was exceptionally delicious, I wasn’t expecting that different taste, next time I would order the big salad as a meal. BBQ Burger, no complaints, it was tasty – easy kid gave the burger a 9.7 and picky kid gave the nachos a 6.7 because there wasn’t enough cheese, yet she did eat the whole plate. Wife said the salmon was cooked to perfection but there were no herbs – there didn’t seem to be a lot of vegetables. There was rhubarb as a vegetable along with small chunks of carrot. The rice was crunchy but it was good. Seems like a great spot – according to other reviews, might have been an off day with service but it does seem to happen randomly.”

Always best to download the McDonalds app for service; This make the experience much faster, more seemless and expedites the line up in the drive through. Plus, you earn points which add up fast which in turn you can use for free items on future orders.”

I ordered 42 party trays it's included sushi and sashimi, the rice was not Japanese rice also it was raw, not sticky and soft. And the sashimi was not fresh and not yet defrosted. So weird of the taste. The soup of chicken ramen was like instant noodle soup, I guessed they use the pack of that msg instead of the pork bones soup. It could trick the nonsense western people or never taste the true Japanese food. I never tasted it in my life.”

The London fog I ordered was perfect the raspberry vegan cupcake was phenomenal and the service was top notch! it was a busy Sunday, but the team worked perfectly and got us a table for 6 took all our orders and made it so easy to enjoy our visit ! all thd food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing and I can not wait for my next trip to PEI.. The Neon Friday 4.02 was, by far, my favorite beer. The day I visited, they had 10 beers on tap plus three canned cocktails and one seltzer. They offer flights of four.
The place was very clean, and the beertenders were very friendly.

Our server both times we've been here was Chloe and she's been outstanding both visits! Last time she recommended the chicken sandwich when we couldn't decide and it did NOT disappoint! So delicious! This time, I had wanted to try one of their drinks. It wasn't what I was expecting but I wasn't going to say anything and just try to get through it. She must have noticed and came over to ask how it was. She couldn't obviously tell by the look on my face and took it back to get me something else to replace it. I've never had this happen at a restaurant before! Service has been too notch both times, food doesn't disappoint. My husband has had the ribeye both times and says it's the best one he's ever had out at a restaurant. Will definitely be back!”

It’s a pretty quiet spot at various times of the day and plenty of seating inside. Sometimes when it’s busy it’ll slow down but not too bad otherwise. For all the Tims in the area this one is typically my go to.”

I brought over lunch from across the hall (Hojo’s sushi burrito) before choosing to get a here. Rachel blew me away with her friendliness and knowledge of the beers on the menu and picked out a can that was perfect for my taste. I spent over an hour at the bar and she was attentive and answered me kindly when I had questions.

Definitely try the maple butter tart, delicious.”

“Everything is done so well here. It’s hard to pick a favourite! The lobster roll is fantastic, and the bun for the lobster roll is the absolute best you’re going to find. Crab cakes are delicious, fries are perfect. Pot pies are so filling. The chicken veggie wraps are my favourite to grab for a quick lunch, the tomato jam on them is my favourite. The energy cookies always fix my sweet tooth, and their breakfast sandwiches will cure a hangover. The iced coffee is delicious and made with the perfect amount of milk/cream consistently. I also buy the biscuits in the summer to use for strawberry shortcake when I don’t feel like baking my own, they’re the perfect vessel. Love getting the dips and pita chips to have with a cold beer in the summer too. All of this to say, I’m a huge fan and love supporting local, and you should definitely go here and support Tyler and Christine, they know what they’re doing! (And to the rest of the staff, I see you hustling in the kitchen!) I’d love to work here, but I’m afraid I’d just have to hand my pay directly back to them because of all of the food I would buy every day. Lol”

I was getting a bit over all the lobster rolls/burger and chips, so decided to come here - a little away from the tourist crowds along the waterfront and Queen St.
The Chicken Pho/Chicken Noodle Soup was delicious, as were the Fried Vegetarian Spring Rolls and the Icecream with puréed avocado (definitely worth trying if you haven’t had it before). Also very affordable!

“I placed an order with them tonight and this is what I received for sweet and sour chicken balls. One order with not much red sauce and the other with none at all. See attached pictures. In hind site I should have read the reviews before I ordered. Very disappointed…Update…they have reached out to me and are going to give us a new order of chicken balls to compensate for the mistake. Will post pics of the replacement when I get a chance to order again”

“My sister was visiting the island and arrived on a Friday evening, although the restaurant was booked up (recommend booking a reservation which we did not have ) they did have a secondary dining room for overflow . We were seated and served promptly. I am not one to write reviews but the main reason I wanted to write this was because our server Sarah , was quite possibly one of the best servers we have ever had . Period. She was so down to earth , friendly, knowledgeable and personable , she definitely made the experience awesome . The food was good too. Cheers”

“It's always our first stop when arriving in Charlottetown. It was originally suggested to us by a security guard in the parking lot (thank you so much!) The staff is so friendly, and the food is amazing! Highly recommend anything from the menu, but especially the pulled pork Sammy or the fish and chips along with a local beer!
