Great space. Service was good. Hopefully, they'll keep a mild - medium blend for those who don't like tar.

Baked goods were stale and no discount was offered despite them being day-olds. Coffee and latte were not great and we were charged extra to add sweetener. I ordered something to go and because it was wrapped up I didn't realize they had given me the wrong thing until I got to my destination. Very disappointed.

I love a good coffee, but I can't say I found one here. I ordered a small drip coffee for $2.88. I don't care for those fancy tea cups they put the coffee in, so I went for a to-go cup. The coffee was bitter tasting. The lone male counter attendant had the friendliness and warmth of a pet rock. He acknowledged my presence with a barely discernible nod. The food menu looks overpriced but to be fair I haven't tried the food. But I'm willing to overlook all that because the building's interior exudes an inviting vibe. Subtle lighting, just the right amount of semi-private seating, and a turn-of-the century charm that made it impossible for me to resist relaxing in the warm and comfortable atmosphere for 15 minutes. There is even an outdoor patio for those balmy summer days. I'll be back.

Consistently one of my top cafes in PEI. It's coffee and teas are excellent - they roast their own beans on site (I once got a tour of the process). Their samosas are always temping to me.But the biggest reason it's been my favourite cafe is the atmosphere. There's a variety of seating including some decently private areas to have a conversation without having to talk over blaring musak or excess noise.I almost hesitate to recommend Kettle Black in case it gets "discovered" more than it already is! But that's not fair so think about popping in!

Kettle Black is our fave place to go in Charlottetown for a hot beverage and a treat. It can get quite busy depending on time of day. Great surroundings/decor. We've only had beverages and "treats", never a meal. Perhaps next time we're in town we'll have a meal. We always note there's a variety of patrons from young to old. Some just visiting with each other, and some sitting on their laptops/phones. There's even books available to read. We always make it a point when in town to pop in... we just love the atmosphere.

Very disappointed. I ordered a take away tumeric latte and when I went to sip it was coffee. And bad coffee. And I don't drink coffee ? Unfortunately, I had already left the shop before sipping because it was sooo hot I couldn't take a sip until it cooled down. My husband's espresso was burnt and so also tasted bad.

The best latte in all of Charlottetown. The breakfast sandwich is a banger, although the one on a bagel which costs twice as much wasn't nearly as good or worth it.
