“During my recent visit to Backwoods Burger in Tyne Valley, PEI, Canada, the experience was generally pleasant. My dad and I relished the flavorful Backwoods Burger and a delightful poutine with beef, gravy, and peas. However, it was surprising that there was an extra charge for cheese curds in the poutine, even though it's traditionally included. Nevertheless, the additional cheese did enhance the overall enjoyment. The charming country atmosphere, adorned with antique decorations, created a delightful ambiance reminiscent of a bygone era. While the commercial fries were satisfactory, opting for hand-cut or homemade ones could have elevated the dining experience. The restaurant, being 3/4 full, led us to use a larger table, but the warm, rustic ambiance compensated for the seating situation.Parking on the street posed a slight challenge due to limited spots, yet the short walk from alternative parking was manageable. The food was served hot, and the overall satisfaction was met.The service was decent, In summary, Backwoods Burger provides a charming and nostalgic dining atmosphere in Tyne Valley, with the only drawback being the unexpected extra charge for cheese in the poutine and commercial french fries.”
