“Really lovely waiting staff, they were kind enough to remember us from last year and I loved how they fixed our table to be level without us having to ask. We were eating outside in the street which is lovely. Our kids beg us to take them at least once for sushi in Faro when we visit for vacation and Kaira has been twice in a row for us. Fish is very fresh, good sushi!
Kid-friendliness: They are very friendly to the kids but our kids were older. We saw some younger kids dining.”
“Great service, excellent food. The setting is not great but the quality of the dishes is exceptional. I highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic experience.”
“Quick, cheap and kind service. Tourist menu was only €15 for a generous main, dessert and drink such as a glass of wine, imperial or soft drink. Great quality!!!”
“We found this restaurant last minute before flying.
It’s a restaurant where life is good, the dishes are absolutely excellent.
We are French, and even in English, we had a little difficulty making ourselves understood. It didn't spoil the fun. I highly recommend this restaurant. The portions are very generous. I had a risotto, the dish would have been suitable for two people. Great discovery!”

“Came here on a whim since none of the all vegan places were open. It was such amazing food. Cooked fresh. Ordered the steamed vegan momo (wish I had ordered 2 plates of momo) and the vegan chowmein. Both exquisite. You should definitely try this place if you are around Faro!”
“we were looking for local food but we only found tourist restaurants, so we gave up and sat here. Very nice place, the waiter was really kind and pleasant and the sandwiches were very good!
of course, it is not typical food, but very pleasant and certainly better than the "tourist traps". advised:)”
“Bruna was impeccable with us, super sweet and resourceful, if I had to open a food establishment, these were the employees I would want to be serving. 5 star service, however the food was good but nothing special, I thought that for the price Haagen Dazs would be one of the best but I was disappointed
Kid-friendliness: is appropriate”
“Been traveling Europe for the past year so you know I’ve had my fair share of Kebab lol Hands down best place in terms of value, taste, and service! Always made to order so you know it’s fresh and delicious and the guys working there are super friendly! ??Keep it up!!(All this for 8€?>>)”
“Great vegan restaurant with lots of traditional Portuguese dishes in a vegan version. Highly recommended, you might have to make reservation beforehand. Their banoffee dessert was exquisite! Also, definitely order the orange juice from the algarvian oranges. It was so sweet! The place is very cozy and the staff really friendly. All in all a great experience.
Vegetarian options: Vegan restaurant”
“Very good cataplana, we ordered the monkfish and seafood one, there were 2 of us, we had plenty left over and it was spectacular, we couldn't resist trying the fig pudding either. Highly recommended for quality, price and the treatment of the waiter and the cook who came to ask. It is not the typical tourist place, a local restaurant with traditional Portuguese food where what mattered was the food, not the decoration.”
“We stopped to have some beers on their terrace, everything was fine. €3 for two thirds, good price. We didn't eat, but they were bringing out very good looking dishes.”
“We love this restaurant. We ate here during our Lisbon visit last year , and again 3 times during our 4 day trip this year. The staff pays attention to the details and the food is great!”

“The very typical front of this restaurant made us want it.
We were happy to stop there because it was a real delight.
The restaurant is clean! Homemade cooking!! The dishes are typically Portuguese and are really delicious and hearty.
The waiter is very pleasant and he speaks French and English without problem.
I sincerely recommend it if you want to live the Portuguese experience to the end.”
“Our party of 4 visited on a Friday night in the height of summer at 8pm with no reservation. The restaurant was extremely busy, including a large birthday party group, but the staff found us a table and were very welcoming. The menu had something for everyone and was a different offering from most other restaurants on the ilha. I had the black risotto with scallops, which was perfect in every way. Two others in our group had seabass, which was overcooked and dry, unfortunately, and the fourth member of our group (gluten free) had chicken, which came with chips and salad and looked very appealing. We also had bread, olives, carrots, a 2 litre jug of sparkling sangria (red berries), a large beer, and a delicious 'real' lemonade and the bill came to EUR 108. Considering the location, the attentiveness of the staff, the restaurant surroundings, the ease of parking on this very busy ilha and the quality of the food and drink, I felt this was value for money.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free
Parking: The restaurant is far enough down the ilha that parking is easier than nearer the bridge. We visited in the evening so beach goers were leaving and the ilha was emptying out a bit.
Wheelchair accessibility: Level from car park into restaurant.”
“This restaurant is really worth the detour, the ocean opposite the owners, a brother, a sister, both great servers also the kitchen very good attention. Be aware that in this restaurant you have some of the fish that come from the fishponds but they have a display of quality fresh fish caught at sea which is necessarily a little more expensive, but of very good quality, and there this restaurant will not let you make no mistake in the quality of the products I highly recommend this restaurant”
“I recently visited this juice shop and was thoroughly impressed! We ordered the watermelon and avocado juice, and both were incredibly refreshing and delicious. The watermelon juice was perfectly sweet and hydrating, while the avocado juice was smooth and creamy. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service, making the experience even better. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for fresh and tasty juices. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Magnificent little restaurant, the dishes are delicious homemade, a warm and attentive welcome and service. We went there twice for dinner, I recommend it!!

“Excellent place to remember a little of our land Venezuela! The staff is really attentive, they are very helpful and friendly, the food is the icing on the cake, it is PERFECT, the cachapa was exquisite for a moment I thought I was really in my country, and the empanadas another level!
Seriously, if you have the opportunity, don't hesitate to come, it is a very cozy and pleasant place!!
LONG LIVE VENEZUELA ??”
“We really enjoyed the authentic Chinese dishes and the price was reasonable. Miguel Liu was very helpful and he speaks good English, Mandarin and of course Portuguese. The servings were generous, enough left for take away for the next day breakfast. Highly recommended for those who want authentic Chinese food in Faro.”
“Very good small, in-town pasta and pizza sorry with reasonable prices. The "focaccia" is just tasty pizza dough, though. But the fresh pastas and delicious sauces make up for it. Try the very pleasant outdoor seating area.
Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible.”
“Extraordinary restaurant, and fantastic visit.
This restaurant has an extraordinary overall experience and performs to perfection.
Everything from the interior design with open kitchen, bar and live music plays and functions perfectly.
Polite and professional waiters and staff.
The price range is extremely impressive. Tremendous value for money.
Definitely worth a visit and huge recommendation to everyone.”
“As soon as we arrived, Brenda's kindness made us stay for dinner.
The sensational atmosphere, a very pleasant terrace with a lot of style.
The food of 10, explosion of flavors. A very extensive menu where it is difficult to choose, but with confidence that it will be good!
The finishing touch is the attention of Brenda and Camila, super professional and very attentive!
Recommendation without a doubt!!”
“Food is very tasty! The octopus and salmon poke bowl and the bao are particularly good. The fish is very fresh and tasty. We found the service to be very friendly and courteous. The only drawback: the sauce could have been a little more and the tomatoes didn't taste as good as the rest, which is also a matter of taste - but for us it deducts a star. Soy sauce is served on the table and can be added as desired. In our opinion: Clear recommendation for those who prefer simple food”
“Excellent établissement avec une terrasse exposée a l'ombre le midi.
Le gérant est sympathique et agréable mais la cuisine y est excellente.
Je recommande le plat de polenta avec couteaux de mer, l'assiette de poulpe, le gâteau a l'orange et le gâteau aux amandes
Les plats préparés avec soin les desserts maison.
Le vin servi au verre est excellent
Vraiment vous y aller sans crainte. Comme nous vous ne serez pas déçu.
Cordialement”

“How wonderful!!!! Excellent service from the lady with the tattooed arm and blonde! Unfortunately I didn't ask your name, but she was lovely! Sensational view! Great sangria!”
“Small bar near the historic center of the city but away from the hustle and bustle. The treatment of us by the staff was incredible. I highly recommend the francesinha, it is important to order homemade potatoes to accompany and dip in its sauce because it is truly incredible, the best I have ever tasted, and the seafood rice, for one person the portion is quite large. With these two dishes without any starter we ended up quite full, without a doubt a place to repeat and recommend.”
Takeout Restaurants
“The owner/server/chef was a brilliant host. I had the seek kebab which was super tasty. Followed by pudding(local Portuguese dessert?) Very tasty, the chef also let me try I piece of the coconut cake which was delicious! Very reasonable prices and a brilliant meal all round!”
“Very friendly service, delicious freshly cooked food. A great choice on the menu. Well worth a visit if in Monte Gordo.
Vegetarian options: Healthy homemade, delicious vegetarian options”
“"Gardy" was the best Café/Pastry in Faro. I am still from its owner's time. Angelo. It was not created to please those who eat pizza, play and run away. Everything that was good has disappeared. There we were well served and had the best food. Even the employees were gentlemen.
Now the budget tourists require attention because they managed to get a place at the last minute... The street that had the Club, my beloved Cinema Santo António, where I saw great films and the most chic and tasteful stores in the Algarve. I still keep pieces that I bought at Casa Verde, books that I bought at Senhor Capela, a fountain pen with my name engraved on it. Memories of those who have memories!”

“It was my first time at Burger King (I can't compare it with others), the more expensive burgers are delicious and the fries with cheese are great, but the cheapest one has no taste, the meat is not spiced at all, the Fanta has no taste, not even color, but the Nestle Ice tea was much better. Overall, it's clean and pleasant once you get inside”
“This is a great place to watch live sports and have drinks so many TV screens and a pool table glass fronted looking on to the marina.
Wheelchair accessibility: This is wheelchair accessable.”
Cheap Eats
“Very good, very cheap. As a solo English speaker I came in and sat down, the lady said ‘chicken?’, I said yes and 5 minutes later I had half a chicken with rice and chips in front of me. With a beer and chocolate mousse it worked out to €12.50… what more could you want!”
“This was by far one of the best places i’ve been to. The service was great and very friendly, the owner was very polite and absolutely accommodating plus the ambiente and the place, where the restaurant is, was perfect for a good end of the day. The food was good and we didn’t have to wait long. They offered Tequeños (a venezuelan dish) and the food was amazing, it took me back to my childhood back in Venezuela. 10/10, i absolutely recommend this place!”
“(Translated by Google) It arrived hot and crispy. I ordered a mix of snacks, I just wish it had a little more stuffing, some really weren't much. But the churros were delicious.(Original)Chegou quentinho e crocante. Pedi um mix de salgadinhos, só gostaria que tivesse um bocadinho mais de recheio, alguns realmente era mesmo bem pouco. Mas os churros estavam uma delícia.”

“I went to Nata Lisboa on the 31/05/2024. I can’t have products with lactose. Staff there were super friendly and professional and did go above and beyond so I could have something dairy free. This was the only coffee place at this shopping centre where something lacto free was made available! Great coffee and great lacto free tart! Truly recommend!”
“A little gem away from most of the touristy restaurants, lots of locals, beautiful food, good service, tradionally beautiful interior, so pleased we found this place, prices reasonable too.”
“I went with my partner a couple of days ago and we were surprised that there were few people. We ordered a pizza and a Portuguese Focaccia to share and we loved it. The food was very good and the service from the waiters was great. If we return to Faro we would repeat without a doubt”

“Really nice restaurant in the center of Faro in a typical little square. Portuguese food of superior quality to the rest of the restaurants we frequented during this holiday. Good quality/price ratio”
“Excellent place, spectacular attention.
We recommend the S. Sebastião wines, the spinach and pesto fettuccini, AND THE CANnelloni!!!! PLEASE!!! Total delight”

“I took the vegan Avocado toast and it was one of the most delicious vegan breakfast i ever ate. It contained dyed tomatoes, mushrooms, Avocado, cheese, Rucola and walnuts. I am a small Person and was Not full Up with food. In My opinion price was little too high. Updated from previous review on 2024-05-24”
“I confess - I intentionally stopped off here on my last day to experience the rude service as an adventure. I was disappointed: the staff person was kind, helpful, and engaged. Our food was good. Got some delicious filled chocolates after lunch and a moist cinnamon bun cake to go. Yummy vegan onion rings too. Great place for lunch, not sure it'd be my top pick for supper. We were here during dec, maybe during high tourist season things are more stressful or someone just went through a bad period when the other reviews were written? Or we just didn't get the famous grumpy staff member - our experience was great! Updated from previous review on 2024-12-20”

“Lovely little restaurant not far from marina. Had the Tarka Dhal, pilau rice and roti. Staff friendly, seemed very knowledgeable about vegan food, nice atmosphere.”
