“I found the atmosphere to be friendly. The place is more of a modern pub style. 14 lines of popular beers and microbreweries are available. The snakebites and blackvelvets are delicious and well executed. The menu is interesting. I had the bison burger and it was exceptional, really.“

“I got the Reuben sandwich and craft beer (it's a NEIPA called Chakwow) and everything was absolutely delicious. The meat was seasoned perfectly and served hot, and the beer was brewed fresh & tasted fruity and refreshing. The staff was friendly and served the guests quickly. The decor is also inviting and spacious, and they even have pinball machines. The menu is a bit on the short end but gets an extra star because of how good the food tasted. “Boswell is a solid brewpub. The food was standard, the fries were delicious. Served was animated, friendly, and efficient. The only comment I have is that the music was a bit too loud. There were times when I couldn't hear the people at my table due to the music being too distracting.“

“Really happy to have found this as we walked looking for food. It was late on a Friday when we got into town and we are not familiar with the area, and this did not come up when we did a Google search for food.I was hoping for more of a meal, but was impressed by their easily shared snackable options! This place is the perfect hangout for some sociables! Lots of charcuterie style options that you can mix and match, but I wasn't really in that vibe unfortunately at the time.We ordered nachos and while the salsa was delicious and my partner really really liked it, I wish it had been on the side instead. LOVED that it had black olives, but cheese was the only other topping and there was a little too much of it and it wasn't great cheese... Wish we could have had tomatoes and onions if not a little lettuce but it still hit the spot. Also wish my Caesar had a celery stick with the bacon bites as I was just trying to get some green into me by ordering it since there were not really any options to round out my meal on the menu...Again, GREAT snacks and fairly healthy options since hardly anything was deep fried and they didn't seem to have french fries, but no real entrees offering a balanced meal (just so you know ahead of time). “Really cool pub nicely decorated with lots of windows along the side and lots of seating area. Two are recollection they don’t serve food, but they invite you to bring food from other locations inside the food market. They are very accommodating. You can go and see them and secure your table 1st and then go and get your food and come back. They have really good selection of cocktails and beers on top. The service every time we visit is very good and quick. The ambiance is really good as well. There were a few times where it was just a two of us in the bar for some time and other times where the pub was filled. Overall the vibe is always really good.Parking: Very similar to our review of the central, street parking may be difficult, especially if Saint Catherine Street is closed. So you may need to resort to a parking garage or try to find somewhere to park on Saint Laurent Street.“

“Stumbled on this place by accident. Was headed to the cigar lounge upstairs but was dressed a little too casual(athletic shoes)to enter. So on the way out the Pub is downstairs. Dropped in and wound up staying 2 hours. Friendly bar staff. Service was great. Plenty of beers on tap. Small in size but that adds to the feel of a neighborhood pub.“

“I was in town from the United States for a hockey game and stopped in at this location to find the most lovely bartender tending bar. Leah was my bartender and what a perfect person for the job. She boasts an incredibly bubbly and friendly personality; both talkative and quick witted. Her joy in being given carte blanche at making my cocktails and being able to turn me onto the Caesar cocktail showed her true love for her craft. It would behoove one to visit this bar whilst venturing around Montreal, I assure you won’t be disappointed. Leah, thank you again for your hospitality.“

The service was intense, we were asked if we were ready to eat or order about a dozen times even after saying for us to wave them down when we’re ready they just came right back to ask. The games they recommended were fun and interesting. Although the worst part was the nachos, they were terrible and most expensive I’ve ever had. The amount of chicken on the nachos was laughable, just as much as the lack of salsa and sour cream, even the cheese was concentrated in the center of the chips and the majority of it was just plain. I recommend this place but suggest anything else than the nacho plate.“
