“Being an Indian and a foodie, I am always looking for authentic Indian restaurants, and this one definitely made it to one of my favs. I was surprised to see dishes like Laal Maas and Gatta Curry on the menu!!! Kudos to the owner for the bold move of adding authentic Rajasthani cuisine in the menu!
I ordered
dahi kebab = soft inside, crispy outside, perfect chutneys on the side. Melts in the mouth!
Basil Chicken tikka= soft and juicy with the perfect blend of basil and spices.
Laal Maas= Indian level spicy so be careful! If you can handle the heat you need to try this dish! Will definitely go back for it!
Panner methi churma = rich sauce, soft paneer, perfect amount of methi!
Paan kulfi = MUST TRY!!!! This made me nostalgic and brought me back to India! The flavors of meetha paan are perfect in this kulfi!!!

I have celebrated EVERY major milestone, minor milestone and minor inconvenience in my life (since moving to Montreal 4 years ago) with the thali combo and samosa from Bombay Express on St Lau. I do not know any place that offers such incredible value for money, while producing such delicious food. I have tried every single Indian food place in the Plateau and have not found one I like more. I have recommended it to ALL of my friends and they are regular customers now as well. “This was my very first time trying Indian food in Montreal, and I was honestly blown away. The restaurant is halal, tucked upstairs, and has a cozy vibe with dim lighting, perfect for a date night or just hanging out with friends.
We ordered the jumbo mixed grill, which came with salmon tikka, tandoori shrimp, kebabs, lamb, and chicken. Everything was full of flavor, but the lamb was especially tender and just melted in my mouth.
The chicken tikka masala was the star of the night. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned , dipping the garlic bread into it was pure heaven.
I’m surprised this place isn’t talked about more because the food and atmosphere are both amazing. Definitely a halal gem in Montreal that deserves way more hype. Highly recommend checking it out!“
