“It was a great choice to take the team of Paralympic badminton players from Ukraine to Lone Star Texas Grill (Byward Market) last Sunday. Their manager and the restaurant team granted a wonderful special welcome for the Ukrainian athletes. The food was great and very much enjoyed by both our guests Paralympics and us – their old and new friends in the Ottawa Ukrainian community. Most of us ordered ribs, the restaurant’s specialty – very tasty! The steak was top-notch. Shrimps were prepared well, salads were fresh, tacos tasted very good and were served in generous quantity. The service was very friendly and professional, and we all enjoyed our time chatting and pronouncing some toasts (the Ukrainian team had won silver and bronze at the international Paralympic competition in Ottawa!). At the end we took a photo together with our waitress and the manager, and – of course, most important – with the folks who work in the kitchen and prepared that great meal for us!
