“This restaurant is actually very decent. Its a solid 4/5 with a good manager running front of house and friendly and helpful wait staff. I can understand the high rating for this restaurant which is cheerful and generous in a beautiful area near the national park. We were well looked after and happy. I feel pretty good recommending this to anyone travelling through. There are a couple things that could be improved like any place but it deserves a high rating and enjoyed the beer and food offered.“

“I tried their Halifax donair combo and it was seriously good! I had never tried an authentic Halifax donair and I really enjoyed it, they've got me as a convert! Also, when they say large, they aren't kidding, it was absolutely loaded with meat and bursting at the seams like an overstuffed burrito!Otherwise, the fries were decent, the coated kind, likely of the frozen Cavendish variety, they were numerous and I enjoyed them as well, the donair is the real star here though!“

“Fabulous local restaurant: some of the most creative dishes we've ever had across the 5 countries we've lived in, and consistently excellent. Every dinner at Lupulus has been a superb experience. Very pleasant, helpful waitstaff who one can get to know, and vice versa. Only downside is the noise level - but on the other hand the patrons are clearly enjoying themselves.“

“This may be a small venue, but it has the biggest heart in the whole damn city. The staff are all so kind and sweet (special shoutout to Tony and Griffin!), it's kept very clean, plus it's extremely safe and welcoming for everyone. They host all kinds of weekly events like drag and comedy, so if you need something to do in downtown Ottawa come here!“

“Love the old character and the great ambiance of this place. The little pictures and paintings here and there are wonderful. The bartender was professional and friendly. The burger and smoked meat sandwich were both amazing! And we tried some new beer that we loved as well. Highly recommended.“

“Even though I am straight I love this bar. I like the diversity and the cool atmosphere and the very friendly staff specially the two female bartenders, very hardworking and most friendly and respectful, both my friends and of course Roxy, the best DJ. in the world and the cool friendly gent who collects cover charges at the door on most Saturday nights. I go Saturdays and this is a good opportunity for a good dancing exercise and tasteful drinks at great price as it is also a cool friendly place to dance and have fun.“

“A good free hour eating joint if you want good food but all restaurants are closed and pubs are just too greasy.Décore is basic and the place is extremely dim. I guess it would be a good place if you don’t really want to see the people around you u clearly or the food you are eating.Corn bread is quite interesting to try as well as a few of their dishes.Good place to discover flavours but don’t expect a classy joint. Basic barn/ industrial decor.“
