“First time visitor on March 23, to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was happily booked up when I tried to make a reservation, so I was only able to secure a table at 5:15pm. I left a little note asking them to keep us in mind if there was a cancellation for a later spot, and they contacted me by email, text, and phone when a later table became available for 6:15pm. Very responsive and friendly staff. Our time at Soif was marvellous. The staff were friendly and extremely professional. Service was relaxed yet very polished. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine and took great care to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a flight of wine to start, followed by a beautiful bottle of white, and a flight of bubbles to end our evening. We shared a half cheese/half charcuterie platter that came with a mountain of crispy and delicious crostini, the latter being refilled without having to ask. Such a small but lovely touch. We also shared roasted Brussels sprouts, frites and aioli, a bison tartare, and grilled radicchio, that were all delicious. They surprised my friend with a little dessert wine and candle to acknowledge her birthday, which was so kind and thoughtful. I have not a single critique. The team here works like a well-oiled machine. No one seemed frantic or rushed. It was a lovely evening. I (we) will definitely be back. Santé!”

“I started ordering here after being away for years but I've been eating their pizza since I was a boy in the late 80s early 90s, and its still the same pizza. It tastes great, one of the best.

A special shout out to the young lady (I don't know her name) who takes the orders (owner's daughter and I think she is the manager now). Your personality is as wonderful as your stunning face and eyes. Don't ever change you are beautiful inside and out.”

I was there for Lunch on a Friday. Had there salmon tartar with their hg and cut fries and a nice mix green salad vinaigrette was so nice. Next day to a friend out to celebrate a birthday. Had starters, foie gras, Blue cheese escargots. Damn that was nice. Rib eye for two and a small cheesecake and lots of wine both days. Really recommend this place.”

“You can find the basics here like snacks, coffee, chips, muffins, etc... but what you probably don't know is this unassuming little convenience store attached to a gas station also has one of the best pizzas in Gatineau.I live in the Greater Toronto Area and good pizza is fairly easy to find. When I visit my daughter in Gatineau, it's not so easy. I find pizza here to be bland and mostly low quality ingredients at premium prices.This little place however, is different. The pizza is reasonably priced and quite better than any I've found so far in the area. Ingredients are fresh and they don't try to pretend you're getting a great deal by giving you a dozen 2 inch wide slices.Next time you want a pizza, give this place a try, you won't regret it. They're on Uber Eats as Pizza Iolo.

Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian pizza with a great combination of ingredients. mushroom, green, orange and red peppers, onions, and green olives

“Located in a green area and with parking at the front, you have to rely on the illuminated sign so as not to miss it. At the time of my stay, it was relaxing. I noticed that there were a lot of regulars, because the hostess seemed to know the tastes of several customers. The service lived up to expectations, and parking was sufficient. Of course the place is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

“Mulligan’s is the most beautiful gem of a cafe. The owners have been there when it was Mocha Loca in days gone past and have successfully made it into a hub for the community.

Not only is the coffee, tea and snack selection wonderful, the ambiance and personal touch is really unlike any other. There is local art, honey from local suppliers and sandwiches and desserts made in house. The walls are colorful, the tables are warm, worn wood and there are little thoughtful touches everywhere. I get the iced lavendar matcha which comes as a blended Frappuccino style drink and is always refreshing. The tea lattes that come in a variety of loose leaf tea also never disappoint.

The cafe is located in a large older house with a wonderful porch and green space for outdoor enjouement in the nice weather. You can’t go to Alymer without stopping here.”

All 3 dishes were minimal, watery soup consistency; staples such as rice and naan were extra $, bland and over-priced, and everything needed to be reheated after driving 3 blocks to get home. I am furious at being so let down. Indian-style food is my favourite. I've tried 10+ ottawa-area Indian places in the past and this was certainly the worst.”

“I discovered La Joie Shawarma about two years ago, and ever since, it’s been part of my weekly routine. The food quality is consistently top everything tastes fresh, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each dish.

The garlic sauce and hummus are incredibly flavorful and perfectly made. As for the beef and the chicken shawarma sandwich, all dressed with spicy sauce and sesame, it’s hands down the best shawarma I’ve had in the Ottawa–Gatineau area. Nothing else comes close. I honestly can’t enjoy shawarma from anywhere else now.

The owner and his team are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Just a tip: try to get there early at lunchtime because it gets busy really fast!

“I didn't actually go the restaurant Chez Wally's but rather the food truck during an event at Parc Mousette in Gatineau.
The explosive panini was was wonderful. Sandwiches aren't usually my go-to meal but this was well balanced between meat, cheese, sauce...easy to eat and very easy to enjoy!
Service was great. The wait didn't feel long at all and panini was warm and fresh!
It was a very hot day today so the atmosphere could have been better, but I don't think Chez Wally controls the weather, yet! ;-)
Highly recommend visiting the Chez Wally's food truck for amazing panini sandwich!

“I went to this location Feb 5th , 2026 at 1 PM. I had 4 coupons for Whoppers, Chicken jr, and nuggets. Nice lady punched in my order , I gave her a $ 5 tip , waited 5 MINUTES and was out the door. The place was very busy and they did a great job !! The food was great, plenty of fires and it was clean. Super nice staff and hard workers, owner should be proud of this and I recommed this location.

I went in an got 4 Whoppers with fries and drinks....I got the order in less than 5 minutes !!!! The employees are smiling , friendly , happy and diverse. When I brought the burgers home they loved them !! They tested like they came off my BBQ !! Perfectly distributed amount of sauce, lettuce and tomato perfect.
Please owner, give thanks to your staff for a job well done and they know how to build a burger the right way..I'LL BE BACK AND I'LL MAKE SURE ALL MY FRIENDS COME HERE...Sorry McD's you can't compare to this location !!

Always a great time, playing darts, shooting pool, sittin with friends having a few cold ones and heading there on the weekends to listen to what ever band was playing and dancing the night away.
