Best Creole food in town! You can of course take away, but eating the bananas weighed on site while they are hot and crispy is not beatable!

First visit yesterday and it was quite filling. I ordered a large grillot and it has fed me for two meals. Haitian food is different since we dont see that too often in Gatineau. The spices can surprise you, and what we think is mild coleslaw is quite spicy! As long as you know that, all will be fine.I prefer the grillot and the cabri (pork and goat) dishes. Just imagine a BBQ with spices from the carribean. I would recommend a nice fruit or mango juice to accompany the meal, as it will help reduce the heat of the spices for our poor fragile Quebec tastebuds!

If I could I wouldn't even give one star... the meat not marinated, the plantains not ripe or good...! Too bad I was expecting good food.

Great Haitian food with authentic menu items. This is there second location, the other in Ontario is the original and also very good. The menu is very diverse with tons of major staples and a great introduction to Haitian cuisine if you haven’t tried it. The Tasso (fried goat), gryo (fried pork) and djon djon rice (black trumpet like mushroom black rice). The fried plantains and Pikliz are also a great side item and condiments. I noticed they also delivery via Ubers eats and some other platforms as well as larger catering orders. It’s worth every bite, the prices and portion sizes are really reasonable.

Ordered the vegetable with white rice because as a vegetarian it was all I could order. It had large chunks of meat in it. Usually legume specifies if it has beef. Disappointed I paid so much money and couldn't even eat it. The pikliz also tastes like vinegar not pikliz, and not spicy. The plantain has no taste. I went to pick up this item and was turned off by constantly hearing microwaves opening and shutting. Don't know what that's about. Wouldn’t recommend if you want good authentic Haitian food.
