“Visited for the first time on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I had seen something on Instagram in regards to their release of the barrel aged stouts and I knew I needed to make the trek. I was not disappointed and in fact, I will definitely be visiting again - and again - and again. After a long walk from Verdun - I for some reason couldn't triangulate the location in my brain - I finally arrived, to pretty much my old stomping grounds. I realized I could have taken the 36 bus and walked down through the park and across the bridge. Alas, it was a nice day and I earned my drinks.I arrived, and entered a doorway into a large mess hall of sorts, with plenty of seating and spaces for socializing and relaxing. This area also has a retail space and the large counter to order your drinks. Before I even started exploring I ordered the #29, a barrel aged stout that was unbelievably delicious and unctuous, coating the sides of the glass. They only serve half sizes of this one because it is rather high in alcohol.I walked through the covered terrace and outside, it was still March chilly but the sunshine was spectacular. There are picnic tables and Adirondack chairs throughout and plenty of people were already enjoying the warmer weather. After a while, it does get a little chilly so I gathered up and went inside. So many kids! It felt like a daycare - and a lifeline for parents/guardians. I loved the energy and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time, either in couples, groups and families. Truly a space for everyone.I had 2 more delicious drinks, spoke with a few people. Just a fabulous place. I highly recommend.“
“Service was outstanding. The gentleman who helped us was cheerful and attended to us very promptly. The poutine we ordered was delicious and had a peppery gravy that absolutely hit the spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Front door is not accessible but once inside, it is open enough to get around. Low tables are available in the back. Didn't get a look at the washroom situation so not sure there.“
“Went for brunch and all the food and mimosas were super delicious, I'd really recommend the fried cauliflower on the vegetarian all you can eat plate. I tried a friend's duck poutine and it was a little salty but very very delicious, our server Charles was very nice as “
“Delicious sauerkraut burger and sausages, good white beer. THANKSParking: As the car is the enemy to be defeated in MTL, go there on foot if it's okay, otherwise parking will add to the bill and I'm not talking about just driving around in the area... the horror.“
“This micro brewery is a hidden gem in Pointe Saint-Charles. They are brewing local beer, 16 different flavours to satisfy the most dedicated fanatic of beer. Even my German friend approved!! The staff is fantastic, Emile, Zach and Olivier are one of the best barman I meet, sit at the bar and have a talk with them, you will not regret it. And don’t forget to play the board game, I guarantee that you will have an unforgettable night!Kid-friendliness: You can bring your kids for game night, no problem.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is at the ground level, easily accessible.“
“One of the best bars in Montreal, almost incredible choice of beers and non-alcoholic products. Performance hall with exceptional comedy evening. Absolutely decadent onion soup. Efficient and courteous service. Watch for comedy evenings on Monday evenings, it's one of the best comedy evenings in town!“
“Vraiment une belle place pour déguster ! Excellent service et la personne qui nous a service connaît bien les sortes et ces subtilités!! Étions arrivé pour dégustation de 4 verres et avons terminés par plusieurs belles découvertes. !! On y reviendra c'est certain! Même une stout était vraiment bonne et ce n'est pas dans nos goûts habituellement !“
“The staff and atmosphere are LOVELY! And they have a lot of vegan options: vegan burrito, vegan pizza, vegan chili, vegan corn dogs (Green Brothers' pogos), vegan jamaican patty, vegan water kefir, etc. ?Vegetarian options: Many cruelty-free (vegan) options! ?Dietary restrictions: Many cruelty-free (vegan) options! ?“
“Excellent bar, drinks, service and atmosphere! Even though the place was packed, we were very kindly greeted and the staff did their very best to find us a table. The French fries were perfect! Overall, this was quite a welcoming and comfortable experience. Try the Yuzu Rice beer.“
“I'm going to celebrate a baby shower from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in a reserved room because the bar opens at 3 a.m. We could only drink. You can eat from 3 p.m. The atmosphere of the brasserie is great and so is the decor. I had a good time.“
“It's a nice little dive, it reminds me of some of the places I would go in my 20s, clientele from all walks of life vibing together. Very lively, as some people were swinging the light fixtures and singing. When I got there it was full and only a couple tables left, after my 2nd beer it was standing room only. Enjoyed the Snookaramel. I stayed mostly towards the entrance and had good service. I'm not sure if there is a 2nd one elsewhere, but the washroom is downstairs, which might be difficult access for some.“
“I've been coming here for a very long time. But I remain objective. It's an exceptional place to drink a local beer, with someone who explains all the details of how this beer is made. +1 for the food, +1 for the people who give good advice. Honestly, sick.“
“Excellent restaurant avec des bières artisanales de toutes variétés.Les Pizzas étaient vraiment délicieuses !!!Il ne faut jamais rater cet endroit !Personnellement, je trouve que c’est une des meilleures pizzas que j’ai jamais goûté !“
“Stopped in at Brutopia on a solo visit to Montreal and have to say it was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. I sat at the bar with a beer and quickly got talking to Sarah, the extremely spirited bar tender. She was frantic dealing with a million things at once on a massively busy day (Kiss Concert one day TOOL concert the next), yet still warm, funny and attentive, handling the manic situaltion with skill, precision and a wicked sense of humour, amidst expletives - just my scene. I was quickly adopted as one of the regulars and struck up conversations with a few of the locals, within minutes I was talking to several people about all kinds of things and I felt like I had known them for years. I travel solo a lot and am very happy in my own company, I'm not always particularly outgoing and don't necessarily seek out conversation, but this place and the people has a way of just drawing you in and making you feel at home. I liked it so much I went back again and again. If you are in Montreal do stop by this bar. Great staff, great drinks, great atmosphere, live music. Faultless! I cannot reccomend it enough!“
“The vibe was exceptional, Bartender upstairs really nice and knowledgeable 10/10. Food super delicious, every bite of burrata blew me away. Spicy boneless chicken, spicy yes please. Everyone's perfectly bilingual. Crafted beers so fresh & clean. Cheers ? to Reservoir crew.“
“I spent two days there for an improv show, and I lost my $330 headphones.I wasn't sure if that was where I lost them. I left a telephone message without strings attached… I got the call back 3 days later - he had them… In short, THANK YOU to your super honest and kind staff. I'll come back to see you soon with some great tips.“
“Boswell is a solid brewpub. The food was standard, the fries were delicious. Served was animated, friendly, and efficient. The only comment I have is that the music was a bit too loud. There were times when I couldn't hear the people at my table due to the music being too distracting.“
“First time here yesterday- they have a great selection of beers- might be one of the best selections in Montreal. Exceptional selection of IPAs in particular. We also order a poutine that was delicious and portion was generous.Servers were super friendly and helpful.Pub has an outdoor patio that is also dog friendly.“
“Really cute bar to chill with friends or play games. The terrace is very pretty and there's a lot of indoor seating. The menu is a bit confusing, but that's no big deal. It's well located to stop by when passing by the canal. The only downside was that the live band can get a little loud.“
“It's been 5 years since I know the place it was always a good place to have beers with my colleagues and friends. But, recently I went with some friends to get some beers and later get some food outside (since the food was not a real option before). Now, I see there are plates, hamburgers and more options on the menu.I mean, going from ordering olives, 2 options of pizza and some other entries with my beers. To full dishes and beers. I see the improvements and that has to be said. Loved the ratatouilleNext time, I will take some pictures“
“Quaint local brewpub with a dimely lit yet always lively atmosphere. The staff is super nice and you can see they're trying to give good service even if it's a pub where you'd expect a more laissez-faire attitude. They're a microbrewery so you definately should try their different beers! I tried a couple and the flavors are interesting to say the least, so I'd love to go back and try all of their microbrewery beers. The food is okay; I'm thin and I left hungry, even after finishing my date's leftovers (she barely eats so I always have to finish her plate). Prices are fair. It's a lovely place, and worth a visit.“
“Super nice atmosphere, the strong presence of wood makes the place very warm, bar well located in the neighborhood (easy to access by public transport).Lots of diverse and well-distributed seats (always cool to be at the bar!), several choices of beers, a few non-alcoholic beers, clean unisex bathrooms, friendly staff.Looking forward to going back with friends or for a date!“
“Good food with some eccentricity, a little expensive but still ok. Nice selection of beers brewed on site and others. Comedy evenings on Tuesday evenings?Parking: Find parking in the surrounding streets. On rue Cartier behind there are generally a few places.“
“Really happy to have found this as we walked looking for food. It was late on a Friday when we got into town and we are not familiar with the area, and this did not come up when we did a Google search for food.I was hoping for more of a meal, but was impressed by their easily shared snackable options! This place is the perfect hangout for some sociables! Lots of charcuterie style options that you can mix and match, but I wasn't really in that vibe unfortunately at the time.We ordered nachos and while the salsa was delicious and my partner really really liked it, I wish it had been on the side instead. LOVED that it had black olives, but cheese was the only other topping and there was a little too much of it and it wasn't great cheese... Wish we could have had tomatoes and onions if not a little lettuce but it still hit the spot. Also wish my Caesar had a celery stick with the bacon bites as I was just trying to get some green into me by ordering it since there were not really any options to round out my meal on the menu...Again, GREAT snacks and fairly healthy options since hardly anything was deep fried and they didn't seem to have french fries, but no real entrees offering a balanced meal (just so you know ahead of time). Could see this being a favourite hang out of mine if I lived in the area and would totally visit again!“
“Loved this place. It was such a nice break. The live music was great without being too loud. The beer is good, and the service is amazing. I loved the art they had on the walls, and I'm still sad that all of the pieces had already sold.“
“Cozy place. Went for a private meeting. The place is beautiful. You can see part of the brewery from the windows, and it is next to the park and the canal. The bartenders were very nice. There's parking on the street and the next building in front of the terrasse.“
“New neighborhood pub from RJ brewers, RJ Beers are practically undrinkable, to be avoided in my opinion, however there is St-Ambroise which saves the furniture. Clean atmosphere, screening of certain events like Scram (Pile Poils)to discover if you are in the area, but nothing more...“
“I love this place, is really near to my new home. The ambience here is everything, is so cozy and comfortable. You can relax, share a bretzel, grab some beers, even do a degustation to choose your favorite one, and the prices are really right. Personally I love the Frida beer, it tastes so good, raspberry-ish… 100 recommend.I would move to the building upstairs to pull out a Lily and Marshall - MacLarens pub. Is that iconic for me.“
“Griffintown seems to be a cute, young neighborhood! This bar is in an unassuming road/area. There is a ton of space inside! My friend and I were surprised when we walked in that it was completely empty... until I realized there was a second room that was full of windows that let in a ton of sun - that's where everyone was! It was too cold that day to be outside, but there was also an outdoor patio area. Our first server was pretty friendly. He told us which beers were part of the day's Happy Hour deal ($5 for a pint!) I ordered a cider because I'm not a beer person, and it was quite good! My friend and I shared a poutine, which was delicious! The gravy wasn't too heavy and the cheese curds tasted great. At that point we were given another server. (Shift change maybe?) The new server wasn't as friendly and came infrequently and in the other room majority of the time, so we had to flag them down for things like water refill and the bill the times they did come back to sunny room. Overall a quaint modern brewery spot. It was a chill day and not too busy, but I enjoyed how we didn't feel rushed and we were able to stay for a good amount of time.“
“Nice and good service. Ideal before a show at the Terminal. There is a lack of variety when it comes to meals, however. The couple next to us didn't find anything interesting so they left. Not having had a show planned afterwards, we would have left as well.“
“Great bar, nice staff, great beers. Please update the playlist though, it's super white and old (I am white and old too don't get me wrong!).. When we were there today we heard AC/DC, Guns n Roses, and Sweet Home Alabama.. Montreal bars need to put more effort into their playslists please! Hiphop, electronic music, please, NTS Radio, Dj mixes, even Spotify, anything.Otherwise great and will be back for more lovely beers and lovely staff.“
“2024: friendly service. The Queen's favourite was a smooth drink, tasted kinda like Sourpuss.2023: Friendly service. Sangria was great but pretty expensive considering how much ice was in it. My friend enjoyed her burger. The jalapeño poppers were good but make sure to have napkins handy since they're messy.“
“Great selection of delicious micro beers! They have a wide selection from sour, to stouts to IPA! The place has great atmosphere and the waiters are very knowledgeable the beer that they have. They also do collabs with other microbrews their summer berry rhubarb sour beer was out of this world ?. Hope it will be returning summer 2023!“
“I quite like the drinks and food. The service is always excellent! The bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible (basement). The feeling inside is always a bit too loud and crowded for me (all the dark paneling contributes). It's a very convenient location though, easily my favourite bar on Masson!“
“Une soirée exceptionnelle au 3 brasseur Anjou j’ai tellement adoré le nouveau concept de la nouvelle bière du mois merci pour le gérant avec sa touche personnel très apprécié et sans oublier Pénélope très bon service très souriante et absolument professionnelle dans son travail c’est une cerise sur le gâteau merci pour tout le staf.“
“A nice place to grab a bite and hang out with friends. The beer selection was good. The food was just okay. The flatbread was good but the Camembert was surprisingly a bit tasteless (and we love Camembert!). The service was overall good, but our server kept glancing at her Apple Watch a few times while we were deciding what to order, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable thinking that she was impatiently waiting for us to be done.“
“The beer was supreme and the service was very good. The waitress really took care of us. The food was also good, but in my personal opinion, there was too much dressing in my ceaser salad. It was more eating sauce with a bit of salad than the other way around. But it might be only my personal point of view! A positive note on the grilled chicken, it was really flavoured!“
“Wow!!!! What a great discovery!!!! The place is beautiful and with a fascinating past (don't hesitate to ask the employees) incredible personalized service!!! We felt like we were part of the family!!!! Really delicious food!!!! What can we say about the drinks and the beer... Each one more good than the other... Sol is fantastic for the beauty and quality of the cocktails!! Thank you for this wonderful evening!!! We will come back for sure!!!“
“A little expensive in terms of food, but very reasonable for the price of the beer which is excellent. I have been there often and each time the staff is attentive and very friendly, and they know their menu well.Otherwise I didn't think I would get such a slap but the chocolate waffle is insane! The only 'downside' that I consider to the place, but which in itself is a sign of their deserved success, it is always full and in fact, quite noisy. But if you're willing to move on, this restaurant is worth it!“
“Always a go to spot when I visit Montreal. The service is always incredible, and the food is consistently delicious. The beer they offer is also delicious and they have a great, albeit a tad small wine selection! ( It's a brewery after all )Parking: On busy street in Montreal, more for foot traffic but parking is possible!“
“An incredible place to have a good time. Incredible bistronomic food. Very good and affordable beer and cocktails. Chill and pleasant atmosphere. Smiling, kind and competent staff. Allow +- $100 but it's worth it (it varies depending on what you eat/drink)“
