“I would have to say that this was absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever had!!! We started with a plate of Oysters that were perfect! We had the Arctic Char for 2 with a side of Gnocchi and Caesar salad the fusion of flavour in the sauce on the Char was heavenly. The fish was done to perfection!! The Gnocchi was unlike any we had ever had and the herb oil drizzle highlighted the perfect texture and flavour of the gnocchi. The deconstructed Caesar was perfect!! We finished the meal off with the Maple Creme Brûlée. The entire staff were friendly supportive and knowledgeable from the moment we walked in!! C’est Manifique!! Bravo!!!“
“Really nice experience overall. The place was cozy and welcoming, with a really intimate ambiance. The menu was five or six appetizer plates, and five or six main plates. Seeing other photos of the menu I guess they rotate the plate quite often. All the options were really appealing, and we are really happy with what we ordered. The price is expensive, but for a different restaurant experience it was nice. We really enjoyed it.Vegetarian options: There were no vegetarian options“
“Everything was terrific, which was, of course, expected. Our server, I believe Gabriel from other reviews, was fabulous, friendly, and super attentive. No question was too much; every teammate we encountered was on point and super invested in the success of our meal. I cannot wait to be back. This is a bucket list project, and I have waited pre-pandemic for this one, and it did not disappoint. I will be making the frisee salad very soon; what a lovely surprise in taste for a simple starter salad. Every dish and drink was perfect. Merci, gentlemen.“
“Ooooooooh.. I was drawn here by.. my nose! First time I came to the Eaton Center and discovered this secret corner, by boarding the Stairway to Heaven's! We didn't eat anything there, it was a luxury we couldn't afford. The concept of Time Out reminds me of the Marché des Promenades CF corner. In any case, dare to set foot on the escalator to go up there.“
“When you arrive at Billy's, you feel like home. The team is warm, smiling, and the service is fast. We treat ourselves to truly delicious homemade dishes: an excellent Jerusalem artichoke soup, an ultra-soft fried chicken on a waffle, and a floating island for dessert, worthy of the name. In short, a real joy. Can not wait for next time !“
“The drinks were lovely, the food amazing ( gnocchi light& delicious). The chef also is operatic quality tenor; we were lucky enough to hear him sing. Service was friendly attentive & excellent. Ambiance- very homey- mismatched chairs& such but added to charm. Can't wait to return!“
“"Outstanding ambiance, top-notch food quality, and excellent service. We sampled both the Canton and Toscan brunch plates, and they were both exceptional, though personally, I preferred the Canton. Each plate was generously portioned. A minor note: the ham included in some dishes is more like pulled meat than traditional sliced ham, which I enjoyed but my friend found the aroma too meaty. Our server, Benjamin, was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable. Don't forget to explore the side menu for additional options. I'll definitely be returning and recommending it to others."“
“The savoury dishes were all excellent. The dessert was so so. The main was that it took a really long time. Between sitting down and paying, we were there for 3.5 hours and the first of two dessert courses took 45 minutes to come out after we finished our mains, and the second took another 30 minutes“
“It's been a long time since we came to this excellent restaurant and we were delighted by the refined cuisine and the courtesy of the welcome and service. Scallops, lamb, duck, char leek tartlet, everything was excellent! And desserts too! See you soon!“
“Toute une expérience de saveurs , textures .. Et un service efficace et sympathique L’entrée de saumon fumé et ricotta /pieuvre/ceviche de pétoncle .. divin et le « surf &turf » le pavé de bœuf à couper à la fourchette , le foie gras et les crevettes .. le ciel Et nos serveurs / serveuses : sympa ms et professionnel .. nous y retournerons“
“What a superb restaurant! We came for the first time for brunch. The service was impeccable: the servers were attentive and visibly passionate. The meal was delicious, reasonably priced, and the restaurant was beautiful. We will definitely come back to this restaurant regularly.“
“Merci infiniment pour le magnifique service de Maxime. On a mangé comme des rois. Staff agréable et prix, ma foi, raisonnables pour la quantité de nourriture et d’alcool consommés. Nous reviendrons! ☺️ Mathilde et Guillaume (le gars qui déménage à Lanaudière)“
“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“
“Very good evening thanks to the delicious and generously served food, we chose a raclette that came with a creamy vegetable garden! All the staff were very pleasant: attentive, professional while being discreet. A big thank you to our very friendly waitress (Marseillaise!) who made us want to come back!“
“Good experience, it was very quiet and the meal was very good. Even if it's more seafood specialties, the piece of meat with fries was excellent. Perfect cooking and seasoning.I should be able to come back and try more dishes on the menu because it was quite limited here with just one dish.“
“We went on Sunday at noon and it was extremely busy, so it took a long time for the waiters to even give us water. Also, we had made a reservation in advance and were placed in the busiest side of the restaurant (hallway - right next to the counter where people pay for take away). This was unpleasant and uncomfortable because everyone passed by us and it felt like they almost walked against us… Didn’t like this nor how close our table was to the table next to us. Service overall was very good and I loved their “birthday” initiative where all the staff claps! It got better afterwards and when we did get the food and drinks, it was amaazing. High quality and chef’s kiss food and it’s worth the visit and the wait!! Only thing is that the tiramisu latte isn’t that different from a regular latte and we didn’t really see the hype. The pastries made us feel like in heaven! ❤️ It was worth the price and wait and all staff was always super friendly!!“
“Very good place. Impeccable and personal service, well played and diligent. This restaurant is not for the small budget though, check the prices. A suggestion: while charging $15 for a beer, it would be good to offer an original local micro beer, we have excellent ones in Montreal (Brewskey, Messorem, Toltek). Excellent food and worth the price (it's relative!). It should be noted that a very beautiful private reception room is available and welcoming for 50 people in the basement. In short, I recommend it for a chic evening before a concert or to mark a birthday, etc.“
“Gorgeous atmosphere and decoración. Good service.I had an excelente house prosecco to drink, and only one dish: magret de canard roti with vegetable crudités. The meat was not bad, not very tasty. The price outrageously expensive, 120 CAD after taxes and tip, about 84 EUR, which buys you an outstanding duck dinner in Toulouse.“
“First of all, let me start with saying this is a dining experience. The presentation is very artistic and the flavors are delicate and to be savored. It's not the type of place to go if your interested is a warm, superfilling comfort meal. Atmosphere is beautifully decorated and has nice lighting. Service was excellent, special shout out to Valentino for humoring us. Would definitely recommend for the experience if you're in Montreal for a few days.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Hard pressed to get children to eat these things.“
“I chose the Cherrier café for a surprise event on the occasion of my beloved wife's 60th birthday...everything went wonderfully, the small intimate room, the big screen for the presentation of a video montage and above everything, the charming and efficient waitress Gabrielle. Thanks again to the whole team!“
“Excellent card! All the dishes were delicious. On the other hand, the homemade sourdough bread was ordinary and I found a piece of silicone kitchen utensils in the whipped butter that accompanies the bread. Reported to 2 servers and no one apologized for the inconvenience or made a commercial gesture. We expect better in this type of establishment“
“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“
“Superb evening despite a full restaurant! There were six of us and we all agreed on the excellence of the dishes, tasty and tasty for both starters and main courses. Let yourself be tempted by a cocktail! Delicious ! A big thank you to our very friendly waitress who offered us efficient and friendly service. I will obviously go back!Dietary restrictions: We had 2 people with food allergies (nuts and fish). We were well informed which dishes to avoid.“
“Refined, tasty and original cuisine. Very nice presentation of the dishes. Generous portions until dessert. My razor clam had a little sand which made it crispy, which is a shame because the taste was exquisite. The black pudding had a texture that was too soft in my opinion but it was really tasty. The lobster bisque in contact with the arugula salad dressing gave me a strange feeling of too much acidity in my throat... like vomit. For the rest, I loved it.“
“My husband and I went here the first night of our honeymoon: super friendly staff (Ludo especially!), delicious food, and huge wine selection. The steak frites was exceptional. Marie (another server) was very attentive to our needs as well.“
“Very nice experience and very interesting and inspiring tasting concept. The food is very well presented and the dishes well explained by the waitresses. The downside is the size of the main course, rather small and we were still hungry after 9 courses, especially since the chosen dish had an extra cost of $8 each. The value for money was below our expectations for this kind of experience.“
“Truly an incredible experience. My husband and I loved our meal at Boulud! The service was exceptional and our meal was absolutely delicious. This restaurant goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. We will definitely be back!“
“Delicious! Small portions but exquisite. The grilled octopus is so good that I think I dreamed of it... Too bad this restaurant is not in my neighborhood. The service was impeccable: relaxed and discreet with a suggestion of a film (The Free State of Jones on the War of Cession)“
“Seriously, I'm speechless! I bought a 3-meat pâté yesterday and today I bought a salmon pâté, both recipes look like they found my grandmother's recipe book! Their flavors remind me of my childhood eating this every week! At our place in chicoutimi! Real Saguenéens in the kitchen! Although I believe they are French! But anyway, my ancestors came from Angoulême! I recommend this find! I have lots of other things to try“
“Excellent service et le personnel est accueillant et très sympathique. De plus, je recommande cet endroit à ceux qui ont l’oreille sensible aux bruits, car la musique n’est pas trop forte ce qui permet aux clients de pouvoir discuter ensemble sans avoir l’impression de crier pour se faire entendre. La nourriture est excellente et se partage très bien.“
“I'm really happy to know that Petit Flore still exists. During the pandemic, whenever we needed meals to bring to work meetings, we received great service and excellent meals. I know, I'm late, but it's a testament to a good memory. Good luck to you ?“
“I enjoyed breakfast each morning of my trip to Montreal at Osco! inside the Intercontinental hotel. Restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. I was helped by nearly everyone there. Francine, Marc, Robin, and Ivan. Thank you for making my stay more enjoyable!“
“Our server was Theo. He had a table of 18 in addition to ours. He was nothing short of amazing. Restaurant is SUPER busy but is so well run you can’t help but sit back and enjoy show put on by the wait staff. The food was excellent and brought out with perfect timing Make the effort to try this place. You won’t be sorry.“
“I can't say enough good things about Brasserie Bernard! The food never disappoints, the ambiance is "chaleureux" and the service always attentive, friendly and professional. It is one of our favorite restaurants in Montréal and there is zero pretension!“
“A laid back spot that's great for a date or just a casual hangout with a couple of friends. It's not big, and would probably be best for parties of 4 max. The plates are small and meant to be shared, but price-wise could quickly add up, so don't come too hungry. I really enjoyed the truffle spaghetti.“
“Good and friendly service. We really liked the shrimp risotto. Excellent seasoning. Dish served well. For an additional CA$8, we had a green salad for starters, which was very good, and a dessert, which is very good value for money. We tested the pistachio mousse. Great. Very good taste in the assembly of the dishes, although the menu is not long.“
“Early dinner because the restaurant is small, which was fine with us. We tried the tasting menu for two and every course was superb. I was a bit skeptical about some of the wines—no, go with it, they pair beautifully with the dishes. Great neighborhood to hang around, the sommelier was the best.“
AMAZING. Un resto coup de coeur pour moi.“
“Great quality food with the best service! I always feel so welcome when I get food here. The attention that is given to all the clients is unmatched. You cannot leave this restaurant without a smile on your face even if it’s only a takeout order. :)“
“Service for lunch was very slow, but service for dinner was very fast. Weirdly the lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu, but the sandwich and lunch options aren't great, better for dinner. I did at least have a good poke bowl for lunch, tons of tuna which i thought was great and plenty of mango and other fruit. Really sizable bowl and quite filling. Had the pasta for dinner and it was actually quite good - a spicy vodka sauce was very tasty. It was a large portion but rather heavy so I didn't come close to finishing the serving. It's a convenient option for sure and decent overall.“
“Fantastic. One of 'many' great places to eat in Old Montreal. Having said that, Modavie stood out as being one of the best. Service was excellent, the decor & live music was great as well. The food......perfection!French Onion soup & the Duck Confit were both the best we've had yet. The 'huge' bowl of local muscles was also the best.Highly recommended!!! ?“
“Notice of November 10, 2023MTL Table Menu:Scallops, delicatta squash, braised endive with garlic creamThis smooth and balanced starter really immersed me in the heart of elegant and refined cuisine. A great success for a most formidable appetizer!Braised deer tamal in red wine, chorizo, pancetta espumaAccompanied by the agreement La Posta, Pizella, Valle de Uco Mendoza (Malbec) 2020The somewhat raw appearance of the dish could suggest a certain heaviness to the latter. This was certainly confirmed during tasting, but the power of the aromas sublimating the deer made you want to come back until you were thirsty. Speaking of thirst, the choice of pairing with this Argentinian wine was wise, as the latter has little tannin. The whole thing formed a pretty composition, tasty but without being extreme.Chocotorta, homemade dulce de leche cream, April amaretto, cocoa biscuitThe dulce de leche cream was particularly exceptional, incredibly light! If I had to be picky, the dessert as a whole (and this is coming from a huge sweet tooth) was a little too rich. However, the portion has been considered not to be too large, to allow this meal to end on a very pleasant note. The place, of a perfectly correct size, is decorated in a style combining greenery, wood and an industrial aspect (due to its location in a set of stores in a large industrial building)Downside, it is not on the metro lines, but remains very easily accessible by public transport! The team was very pleasant, this evening, it was an excellent time!“
“Nous étions un groupe de 33 personnes et avons tous été ravis autant par la nourriture que par le service de Francine et sa collègue. Merci à Éric pour toute l’aide pour l’organisation de cet événement important pour nous. À bientôt!“
“Bustling French brasserie. Excellent food. Service was good although I felt we didn’t get the same attention as francophone customers but it didn’t result in issues. I can recommend the place and would definitely come back for the food. Fish soup, croc monsieur, quiche are recommended. I also liked you can take your time here despite the business in this restaurant!“
