A variety of big box stores including two newly built (Décathlon and Walmart); abundance of products, you can find everything there. Prices are often very competitive due to the numerous reductions that can be found in these businesses.
There's a lot of shops with a variety of shopping experience. Good prices in the factory shops like Tommy Hilfiger, Nike and others. We had lunch at Allo mon coco. That's a place to visit. Good food, affordable prices. One will need at least half a day for a proper visit the various shops.

I didn't know about the central market, because I'm from the south shore and I really liked it. Easy to get there by public transport, Yellow line, orange line to Crémazie station and then buses 19 and 54 go there. Nike, Puma, Under Armour, Levi's and others. There are many discounts offered, from one warehouse to another. On the other hand, little possibility of eating. Easy parking.
