The urban sugar shack (cabane à sucre urbaine) brunch was very disappointing. Bland food, missing key items like ham and bacon, the terrible coleslaw was mostly wilted iceberg, my tea cup was dirty, dirty bathroom. Pickled beets from a can that they told me they recycle in other recipes after if we don't finish them (super unhygienic!). Overpriced ($58 after tax and tip). $32 for a cider and poutine meal of the day is a bit expensive. The sauce was lukewarm but the fries were good. The wax paper was decomposing. Good place to wait for the eclipse of the century.

The sugar shack menu is delicious. Much better than the menu of traditional sugar shacks. I'm already looking forward to next spring. The price is high but for a special occasion it is worth the detour. The regular menu prices are too expensive and I won't make the detour just for fast food. The restaurant should offer brunch every weekend.
