I've been going to Ryu for years now but this time was very disappointing. My guests had to pour wine for us throughout the lunch. Food was ok but not great like before. Not sure what's happening but we definitely didn't get for our money.

Ryù is one of the safest Sushi restaurants in Montreal, quality is very High, products are fresh. They are offering a real experience! The last time I went the service was a bit slow.

There isn’t a lot of places that deserve this praise but quality is truly A1! The nigiri’s were amazing, staff were nice and gave very good recommendations.

I made a reservation for an omakase on Friday and decided to order a drink as well. It was pretty pricy, 227$ after tax and tip. But I think it was generally a worthwhile experience, and I enjoyed everything I ate.It came in 6 parts:1. Miso Soup & Edamame2. Sashimi platter3. Marinated Seabass with greens4. Plate of Mushroom and Scallop Maki5. Nigiri Platter6. Miso Ice Cream with Chocolate Mousse CakeFor the most part, I enjoyed everything that was served to me. All the fish tasted fresh, and the presentation was pleasing. The waiter explained to me in detail what every plate contained clearly.I think the only part I was slightly disappointed in was the mushroom and scallop Maki. Not because it was bad, but it was odd that every other platter had so much variety or uniqueness, while I was just served 6 exact same rolls for this specific platter.

The $150 Omakase is a no-brainer. The level of detail, the quality of service and the fresh ingredients are simply amazing. The various dishes in the omakase service include caviar, A5-grade wagyu beef, bluefin tuna and many other high-quality ingredients.Service was impressive with remarkable attention to detail. This was already my 4th visit to Ryu and I'm planning to go there again on my next trip to Montreal.

Terrible and unprofessional experience. Both the hostess and the waitress were completely unprofessional from the moment of arrival. When I asked a question about the dish, the hostess inquired with our waitress, who then looked at me, glanced at the bartender, and burst into laughter. This was the most unprofessional and disgusting service I have ever received at RYU. I will not be coming back.

Delicious sushi, mostly focusing the fish itself (as opposed to a blend of fish, fruit, and veggies like some Western sushi). Other ingredients in the rolls mostly served to accent the fish. Price is high, but not unreasonable.

The restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with high-quality fish and a diverse selection of sushi. However, the prices are notably steep and the specialty rolls didn't impress me as particularly unique or special.

This was my 3rd time going, and I have never been disappointed by Ryu in any way.First, let’s talk about the sushis… The fish melts in your mouth, that’s all I need to say.So far these are the best sushis I’ve ever had.Secondly, great service, everyone is super nice there. Finally, I recommend this place 100%, the sushis are amazing, but so are the drinks and desserts! Great restaurant overall!! If you like sushis, this place is a must!
