I wanted to love this place because very popular in the area. The prices are very reasonable. I just don’t think the food quality is good. The butter chicken in particular to me was downright unpleasant. Lamb ok. Veg dishes ok. I’m gonna keep searching for slightly better quality

Awesome experience! Perfect and discreet service. Very nice tasting menu options for two, with perfect value for money.All the dishes were delicious (samosa, butter chicken, lamb and vegetables) as well as the bread which was freshly baked. The dishes were very accessible to everyone because they were not spicy. This can also be a negative element: we don't lose flavor but it doesn't sting at all.

We went there at 9:30. They close at 10, they were so friendly didn’t rush us at all.We tried a mix of different dishes for 2 people. Everything was sooooo delicious, but butter chicken was another level!!! I am regretting why I didn’t discover this place earlier!We brought the rest of it home and ate it for the next day lunch. It was giving us the same satisfaction! I cannot wait to go there again and try other dishes! I’m informing all my Indian food lover friends about this Chef’s magic!

One of my favorite restaurants in Montreal. Going to the Star of India is always a treat. The food is divine and the staff is friendly. The place is a staple in the city and is always busy, you know that's a good sign.Vegetarian options: We always order the DD vegetarian option and still walk out stuffed, delicious !

The place can be cozy for some or a bit small for others. Their prices are a bit high considering the quality of food served. Parking can be a bit difficult.
