“Just dove into a Syrian culinary adventure with Folfol By Damas. Ordered the Chicken Shawarma Saj (aka marinated chicken all cozied up with pickles and garlic mayo - because who wouldn't want to find that in a wrap?) and the Lamb Shawarma Saj (marinated lamb leg doing the tango with Biwaz, pickles, Tahini sauce, and pomegranate molasses - a flavor party I wasn't ready for but absolutely needed). Washed it all down with a fine Shawbridge beer because, well, balance. ? #CulinaryExpedition #BalancedDietMeansBeerRight?“

“We tried brunch because evening reservations were full weeks in advance and it seemed a better option with children. We had a great time. The food is served in large quantities and is really good! All menu items will be served! The welcome is cheerful and sets the mood. The decoration is really interesting! On the other hand, the atmosphere really depends on the other guests, if everyone gets on board it’s really cool! But you have to play the game!A small suggestion for improvement: think about vegetarians!Vegetarian options: No veg option. We pick from the dishes what is veggie“

“I was looking forward to coming here for a while and what luck ! They are participating in burger week! I got the truffe burger with potato wedges and cha cha colada “milkshake”. Everything was so perfectly delicious. It’s not amazing because it is vegan, it’s amazing period. The staff was very friendly and informative. Im looking forward to my next visit - very soon. Oh and they have other restaurants with different concepts and menus im exciting to go try out too!“

“Located on the top floor of the Eaton Centre, Time Out Market has an great atmosphere and vibe. I have yet to try any of the restaurants, but the beer/wine bar was above my expectations. Bartenders and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Prices are fairly reasonable, I’d recommend the Flacatoune beer by Microbrasserie Charlevoix. ?Can get very busy after five on weeknights, so arrive early.“

“The ambiance of the restaurant is both simple and welcoming, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere with its calming colors, well-chosen decorations and elegant furnishings. The place is spotlessly clean. The service is exceptional; the waitress took the time to present the menu to our table and regularly checked if everything suited us, which is rare in a fast-food restaurant. As for the food, I must say that it was a remarkable dining experience. The halal burger was divine, with authentic flavor and perfect texture. Each bite was a true delight for the taste buds. The sides, including the crispy fries and fresh salad, were simply impeccable. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to include a selection of soft drinks from Turkey to add a touch of originality to the experience. In summary, a remarkable culinary experience that makes you want to come back!“

“This has to be theee best Smash burger in MTL!!! and probably one of the best in Canada!!! Not exaggeratingThe quality and taste of the meat CAN NOT get any better for that price!! And The buns is excellentThese guys know what theyre doingAnd theyre open till 3-4AM !!!!!!!!! Which is very appreciated that they can make this happen in MTL when you could almost never find anything else open that late and that good, its only junk food thats open that late usually so thank you for making that happen! If you are a TRUEEE burger lover who knows how to eat a proper burger and who appreciates the simplicity of it as it should be, and focus on the quality and taste, then this would be a burger that you will never forget!I approached the owner and spoke to him he had a big smile on his face when i gave him the compliment and he was very humble about itThe only thing that i did not maybe like so much was the jump of price when an ingredient or two were added but again for the QUALITY and TASTE and fact that theyre open till 3-4am!! Makes it worth it.“

“One of the best place to savoir smoked meat in Mtl. The ambiance is very original, vintage that shows why they're on for all these years. I like to absorve the beauty of the songs, the furniture, decoration, the light balls. The service is amable and fast. And the food, incomparable. Delicious!! Everything is perfect over here“

“Overall disappointing experience. As fans of the new and old La Belle Tonki, we were looking forward to trying their smash burger joint. We arrived here around 6:30pm and there was already a lineup to order and most of the seats were taken. However, few people were eating. The good: you get the sense that much care and effort was put into the decor and marketing of the place. The walls are covered in cool posters (great conversation starters), the music was fun and the marketing/branding is well thought out. The food itself (once we got it) was delicious, prepared with care, presented nicely. Everything you would expect from a smash burger and fries, but extra. The menu is short and concise. Dirty fries were so good. The bad: the restaurant is located in a small semi basement and only counter/bar stools are available. This would not normally be a problem for a quick eats kind of place. However, after waiting 15 mins to order, we waited another 30 mins to actually receive the food. This wait time seems excessive for 2 burgers and 2 poutines. Finally, the ventilation should be improved because we left the place REEKING of oil. I’m not sure if we came on a off day for this resto but I feel like it is a victim of its success and cannot keep up with current demands. I would recommend trying the food as it was pretty good but don’t come here hungry or in a rush.“

“Originally from Montreal, I found this place when attending a tournament with my son. Every time we’re in Montreal, we go here. The service is impeccable, the food is fantastic. I love everything about it. My son even bought a sweatshirt from their merch line. The staff is as amazing as the food.Parking: It can be tough to park, but there is a pay lot behind the grocery store across the street. I’ve always managed to find street parking, though. Just go around the block a few times.“

“The atmosphere of this place is great. It's small, tight but in that "just right" kinda way. I love that I can see my food being cooked on one side, and on the other side the city walking by. We ordered the hot dogs. The bread was fresh, and the ingredients were great. However, I wasn't blown away. This is a place where you'll get the food you need in a snap, at the right price. There was also a weird employee drama that seemed to have taken place, it made things awkward that they couldn't talk in some back kitchen area, but the place was so small so that was understandable. The beer was amazing, really good, obviously very clean taps. Over all it was a good experience and I plan to return.“

“This restaurant is one of the hidden gems in town. I ordered General Tao and chicken Pad Thai, and their portions were so generous; the food was delicious. The protein and veggies are well balanced. I wasn’t expecting to have a salad with the General Tao, but it was there, and the veggies were fresh. Both meals had a Vietnamese-style touch, and I loved it!“

“Burger Hub and Grill is a cozy new restaurant where the owner's friendliness shines brightly. I savored their gyros, which were absolutely delicious, showcasing a blend of flavors that tantalize the taste buds. It's clear that this place, although new, is set to become a local favorite. The warm welcome from the owner adds a personal touch that makes dining here a unique experience. They are just starting out, so giving them a try not only promises a delightful meal but also supports a budding local business. Their standout gyros alone are worth the visit!“

“The place was a vibe! A mix between casual and hipster/artsy aesthetic. To order the food was pretty easy, the service was a little slow but then again we went during lunch rush hour. Small burgers, but it filled us up right away. I wasn't too crazy about their poutine, a little spicy. Still a good place, would definitely go again.“

“We are from the US and were visiting friends in the Verdun neighborhood and happened to walk by Pavillon Snack Bar. We stopped and ate a late lunch. The place has a nice local vibe, super friendly folks, good local beer on tap, coffee made with attention and the crispy chili egg toast is a must! The breakfast burrito is top notch too! If those 2 dishes are any indication, the rest of the menu must be incredible. I highly recommend.“

“Restaurant specializing in burgers, not a lot of seating space so the atmosphere quickly becomes very dynamic. Good friendly service. The burgers are good without being the best I have tasted. From a quality/price point of view it's also ok, however the fries seem to be frozen, which I consider a fault. Be careful when parking, I didn't think I would get a ticket in such an unoccupied place, but the side street has a strange parking situation. Read the signs carefully ?“

“Arguably the Montreal area's best when it comes to smokehouse style BBQ fare. Meat variety is diverse and tasty. Top notch service. Seafood chowder is among the best I have ever had (served in a bread bun) even when compared to the great offerings from the Atlantic provinces. Surf n' Turf was top notch. Reasonable prices. “To be frank and direct: it’s good. It's also good because I chose what I like for toppings: mayo grilled onions grilled mushrooms, no mustard, no ketchup. I asked not to add additional salt. I don't know if they followed this request. It's massively salty...as they don't offer Swiss cheese as an option(?) I added it myself. That said, the burger is big, tasty and juicy.“

“This is currently the best smash burger in Montreal imo.My only suggestion to the owner is to allow an option where people can create their own burger with whatever toppings they want. They always mess up the order when making changes to the standard options.“

“I stopped by in the evening, I was a little hungry, so I went to La Belle Province. The menu is well presented, but I must add that the staff is very professional, they are warm and know how to make us happy with each order, because the hamburgers are gigantic with real beef and the portions of fries are large and cooked to perfection. perfection. “Picks is operated by a lovely older couple out of a tiny, smokey storefront with three small tables inside. It epitomizes a hole-in-the-wall.The burger patty was cooked perfectly although was a tad overworked, it was elevated by a high quality roll and fresh, quality toppings. The poutine was generously topped with curds and a typical sauce, the fries were frozen but crisp, fluffy inside and seasoned well.I would definitely return in the future as I felt it was greater than the sum of it's parts.“

“During a leisurely stroll through downtown Montreal, my son and I, driven by a craving for burgers, ventured into La Belle & le Boeuf. Though it wasn't my first visit to this restaurant, it had been a while since I last dined here, a hiatus more due to Montreal's vast dining landscape than any fault of the establishment itself.Upon entering, we were promptly greeted and escorted to a cozy table for two near the bar, a prime location amidst the bustling atmosphere of the restaurant. Despite the crowd, the staff's efficiency in taking our order was remarkable. Anticipating a wait for our food given the busy scene, I was pleasantly surprised when our order arrived promptly. Our adventurous appetite led us to order a platter brimming with chicken wings, pogos, onion rings, fries, and sliders, an ambitious choice that proved to be more than we could tackle—even with a hungry teenager in tow. The portion was generous, to say the least.Throughout our meal, the staff maintained a perfect balance of attentiveness, ensuring our experience was comfortable without being intrusive. Their frequent check-ins added a personal touch to our dining experience.La Belle & le Boeuf stood out not only for its rapid service amidst a busy environment but also for its commitment to customer satisfaction through attentive service. It was a reminder of why, despite the abundance of dining options in Montreal, returning to familiar favorites can still yield delightful surprises.“

“Let's clarify something first: someone published that Roch le Coq had copied Jack le Coq and it's false. After verification, Roch le Coq opened at this location in 2019 while Jack only opened in…2021. Pay attention to your sources on the internet. It's not the nicest place in Montreal but that's part of the restaurant's personality: we do fried chicken, no fuss. For this visit, I took the Rochy at $6.75 (a good indicator of inflation out of control, price increase of +35%?!) which is a small chicken burger, “slider” type. I prefer this one to the Mega Roch. The only downside is that it's small, I had to order a second one to satisfy my appetite. Not the best in Montreal (see my review of Joyo) but an honest chicken burger, better than average with mayo, lettuce and pickles that balances out the fat of the chicken, good for 4 ⭐️.Fast, friendly service, from staff who serve a lot in a week.RecommendedP.S.: if this review was useful and informative to you, please ? leave a ? to support the author, thank you ☺️Parking: Very difficult to find parking, the majority of spaces have been removed by the city on Van Horne.“
