Man Li has been a fixture on the West Island for excellent Chinese Food - prepared to North American Tastes. Starting with either a Won Ton Soup or a Hot & Sour Soup leads to a few Egg Rolls - with Plum Sauce of course. Then you have a really wide variety of main dishes you can shoots from that are always served Hot & Tasty. General Tao’s… Beef & Broccoli… “Shanghai Style Noodles - Vegetarian Style… and of course Steamed Rice and your dinner for 2,3 or even 4 is complete.

the 2nd time i ordered food, it was so bad i deleted my first 5 star review, and have never ordered from here since - however this restaurant took a screenshot and refuses to delete it from their website - dishonesty for something so simple is remarkably telling - they have to fool you into buying their garbage. They have so little regard for customers, I've been reduced to adding this review hoping they finally take down the other. How astoundingly embarrassing.

The food is good. General tao is sweeter than most places with a thicker, caramely consistency. Orange beef is delicious. Hunan dumplings are good but a little overpriced. Staff is kind and I never have to wait more than 10 minutes from order to exit. One visit I had the general tao and it was extremely overcooked. But this appears to be a one off occurrence

We were looking for good Chinese (Szechuan) take-out. Someone suggested we try Man-Li, although they did say it had been awhile since they went. My first red flag, the building outside looked old nd run down - however some of the best places in many cities can be found in older buildings-so kept going. The inside is old and needs desperate renovations. Hand written menus on one side. Stacked chairs on another. Kids taking up half the dining room on computers. Two sides seperated by a plastic sheet. "I can feel the grease in the air." Still decided to take the recommendation and try it. After all I had ordered on the phone and did not want them to lose the order. The son's owner is up front and working the phones and take-out counter. First impression, family run business, nice folks. Food had no flavour except for a greasy sweet tasting sauce. Look at the photos. Hunan Dumplings sauce looked like a pasta rosee sauce. We threw out 90% of the meal. Worst tasting Chinese food we have ever tried. General Tao was a thick crust of sugar and sauce. Chicken, the little there was, was terrible. Nice folks but horrible tasting food. Will never return.

Good fresh Chinese food! Delicious in March 2023. May 27: I order online and receive confirmation by text and email. Delivery never came. Tried to call restaurant 1.5 hrs later and no answer. Call today and I am blamed as I should have called “after 45 mins” if I did not receive food. Also owner states it was his brother working Sat so he knows nothing about it. No apology, no offer of discount or any other incentive to order again even though order is clearly traceable in system. Very disappointed ?
