Went today with a buddy of mine, great service, and delicious Chinese food. I truly recommend this place, and their take-out is just as good.

I doubt it was due to the delivery, but the food was not fresh and the taste left something to be desired. The only acceptable dish was the spring roll, although too greasy for my taste.

The peanut butter dumplings were well filled and seasoned, but the sauce wasn't very flavourful. The Thai style seafood was delicious, plenty of plump shrimp and scallops and squid. Generous use of garlic.

I ordered a combo for one and let me tell you this place is just awful! When the best thing in the combo, was the won ton soup you have a problem. I literally got 3 pieces of beef in my Beef/broccoli dish and it taste like cardboard. I decided to try the general Tao and boy was I disappointed! I'm pretty sure they are cooking dishes in the same pan without washing in between because my chicken taste like shrimps. I will never go back here and I hope no one else does either. Cheap, tasteless food at best. One of the worst chinese food experiences I ever had.TERRIBLE!!!!!

The waitress demanded a 15 percent tip, not only that but she actually followed me to my table and grabbed her tip off the table before I was ready to leave with alot of negative attitude, the food very blah! Will never go back, was so insulted!

I always drive by this place and decided to go in and try out the food. It opens at 12pm but an employee let me in for 11:50.A younger coworker walks in after me and starts giving me an attitude because i came in at 11:50.I left immediately right after. If customer service is horrible, why would i want to spend my money there

Wow…where do I start?? Hands down one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had and such a pity because this place use to be great with previous owners.Firstly, there was one server at the restaurant at 18:00(supper time) so service is slow as the one server is dealing with pick up orders, Uber orders and Dine in.Secondly, ordered like 8 dishes, one of the dishes (satay beef) contained a hair, seeing that the server was busy we let the ‘hair thing slide’ as we did not want to frustrate her even more seeing she was already preoccupied with other things.Thirdly, one member of our party went to the washroom which was a unisex bathroom, however, the door to the bathroom stall had a non functional lock so unable to lock the door while it is occupied so please explain how are women supposed to use this washroom?Fourth, there’s a sign stating “15$ minimum purchase for payment by card”, the management should be fully aware that Visa, Mastercard, Interac etc prohibits merchants from imposing minimum purchase amounts to use card form payments, so this practice is unethical.Fifth, the server never checked up on us to see if we were satisfied with our meal, it was literally dropped off to our table and no more communication from the waitress until it was time to pay.Sixth, when it was time to pay I had to go up to the pick up counter to request my bill as the waitress was busy dealing with Uber and pick up customers.Seventh, while waiting to request my bill, I noticed the server saying to customers that the Interac/Visa machine was not working so customers were paying cash, I did not have cash so I told this to the server and “Magically” all of a sudden the machine was working…once again unethical practices.Eighth, my bill came up to $130 with taxes, I gave a 10% tip ($13) which I think was a fair reflection of the service I received, however, the server was quick to tell me that it’s a 15% minimum tip policy so I must pay a tip of $20.50 of my $130.00 bill, I thought this was once again unethical but I gave the tip of $20.50(15%) even it was undeserving.Ninth, after giving a 20$ tip I then requested 4 take away boxes to take away my remaining food, the waitress then told me that the take away boxes are .50 cents, each pointing to a hand written sign on the wall…so readers please remember…it’s a minimum 15$ purchase required for card purchases and now I need to buy $2 worth of boxes, luckily I had $2 in coins or I would have had been forced to spend another 15$ to be able to use a card to pay for the $2 take away containers…additionally, strangely enough no invoice was provided to me for my purchase of “$2 worth of take away containers”….are these take away container purchases undeclared to Revenue Quebec? Why wasn’t an invoice provided?? UNETHICAL AND SHADY PRACTICE!!Tenth - After all of this and the extra charges for the take out boxes along with lousy service and the jostling by the server for unwarranted tip, the server did not even give us our fortune cookies lol…now what Chinese restaurant does not give fortune cookies?? Like really….she was so busy trying to hassle a higher tip and extra charges out of me that she forgot to offer us fortune cookies…my my my!I can continue but I’m sure my point is made.To West islanders, please don’t encourage this type of unethical business practices by merchants in your area.To the management of Restaurant Kam please fix your bathroom door locks immediately , reassess the service quality to your clients, make sure cooks, dishwashers etc are wearing hair nets and please STOP the unethical practices..just STOP it!! It is ridiculous and it’s not normal what you are doing! You are bringing a bad reputation to a once wonderful little restaurant.
