Rayan’s is delicious, but they certainly have the best spices and much better fried seafood there is than other seafood restaurants. “The food was Excellent! Much better than expected. The place was a bit loud and there were a lot of kids but that can be attributed to the time of year. The prices were also very good, low for the quality of the food. Lots of space between the tables also meant you had privacy for conversations, if you could be heard above the children. On a different night it would have been quite romantic. The only downside was the service which was indifferent. Drink refills were non-existent and if you wanted something you had to get up from your table and go find a staffer. I believe we went a full 20 minutes without seeing any staff in the dining room. The diners were all looking around, confused. I believe that this night the staff were focused on a large group in a separate room but that doesn't change the fact that we all are paying customers and expect the same service. With even a modicum of service this would have been a five star review. The food was just that good.“

“I have been coming to this restaurant shortly after it opened. By far one of the best places in the city for fresh seafood from their in house seafood store, but also freshly prepared in multiple cooking methods according the a clients preference.Their menue these days blends the Middle East with Mediterranean with a leaning to a leaning toward Lebanese food.So why not 5 stars instead of 4? Simple - I do not believe that the price is commensurate with the product. The product is good quality for sure and fresh for sure, but far too many times have I ordered the chicken and it was dry. Moreover, I find that the quantity to be a little less than it should be as well on numerous items. Now this could be because they have a captive market and an audience that fully accepts this, but for me I look at it in a fair manner for all audiences who’ve not been here.So, this being stated the decor is simple yet classy and the only flaw to this is the noise level as there is nothing to absorb sound at all.The staff are lovely though there are times where some have a difficult understanding and communicating in English and even French at times. The presentation is great and the seasoning of all the foods ( I have at this point tried everything on the menu), and tastes delicious to say the least. Obviously their edge is with their amazing seafood and fish products and although pricy, they are delicious and if you don’t mind price - go for it you won’t be let down at all.Their desserts are also delicious as noted in my photos and also a list, fattoush salad, and one of the best babaganoush in the city bar none.You might also find their shrimp plate to be exceptional as well as the little lightly breaded and fried fish (forget the type), and their foul is like being in the Middle East. Oddly enough, their (white) creamy clam chowder is chock full of clams and you’ll want another bowl for sure as it rivals those from Boston.Service is very good and they do take care of you. It can be problematic when there are large table groups as the servers tend to favour these large groups more than a small table of two to four people. I suppose it may have to do with the size of the bill and associated tip but I can’t blame the services for this as most servers would likely do the same. So to avoid this a little, I prefer to go earlier before the place gets too busy and noisy - say around 5:00 pm and no later than 5:45. By the time you’re done your meal it will have filled up and become noisy.Don’t forget to have desert such as their chocolate cake, their baklava and their amazing cheese cake.Their wine and alcohol selection is rock solid and should please even the discerning connoisseur.Hope you enjoy eating here as much as we/I have over the years and will continue to on the future.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is level and easy“

I had about 20 big slices of tomatoes, two tiny peices of cucumber , white onion instead of red , ONE olive , couple of red and yellow pepper slice and feta . I know their are many ways to make a Greek salad but the tomatoes to cucumber ratio was waaayyyy off .
