“We were looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon 3 Madames Dumplings on Wellington Street. What a fantastic discovery!
We sat on the charming shaded patio and ordered the lamb & fennel dumplings, beef & onion dumplings, and the Chef's Assortment. Since I have a sensitive stomach, we chose to have everything steamed, and it was absolutely the right choice. The dumplings were impressively large, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavour in every bite.
The meal was accompanied by wonderfully sweet pickled daikon, which was a delightful surprise, and I enjoyed a refreshing iced lemon tea that paired perfectly with the food. The attention to detail in every dish was evident, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The restaurant is known for its handmade dumplings and generous fillings, which certainly lived up to our experience.
To top it all off, the service was warm, welcoming, and bilingual, making the entire experience feel effortless and enjoyable. From the atmosphere to the food, everything was crafted to perfection for a relaxing evening meal on the patio.
If you're in Verdun and craving authentic, satisfying dumplings, this place is an absolute gem. The steamed lamb & fennel dumplings alone are worth the visit! We will definitely be back!”

“I’ve been numerous times to Giwa in the past year and I never leave disappointed. The food is truly excellent. They are always offer additional seasonal menus. For example, this summer, we really enjoyed their dwaeji galbi. Also, they had a tasting menu during New Year, which was fantastic. Don’t forget to try their desserts! The service is good, they always give descriptions of each meal. The staff is very friendly.”

Parking is quite challenging to find however, the metro station d l'eglise is from walking distance. I recommend making a reservation for your next visit.”

*Original review: Absolutely outstanding. The food is superior to any other Korean BBQ in Montreal, but most importantly the service is exemplary. Any restaurant should learn from this restaurant: the staff makes sure that you are enjoying your meal, they change the grill often, they are in a great mood and they never pressure you to 'stop ordering'. In fact, we felt as if they wanted us to enjoy as much as we wanted.

From the moment we made the reservation to the moment we left, Christopher made sure we enjoyed the whole experience.

“This is a very good boulangerie located along Mont-Royal Ave East that is open from 7am to 6pm daily. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, many visitors seem to pop in for morning take-away. There was a short queue when we arrived 7.30am midweek. You'll find a nice range of mostly French style breads, tarts, pastries and bakery products. We particularly liked their quiche and almond filled croissants. Coffees served up on the day were very good as well. This seemed like a great boulangerie, one we'd like visit regularly if we lived in the area. Would gladly revisit next time in Montreal.”

It started raining halfway through our meal, so we had to move all of our glasses and dishes one by one. It was a bit inconvenient since I didn’t want to get in anyone’s way or accidentally drop anything, but it ended up being a fun and memorable part of the experience.”

“This seems like a restaurant with some age that has been taken over by an older Persian couple at some point that are doing their best. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The menu has plenty of options, and the prices are amazing! I was able to have an absolute feast for under $25. The french toast sandwich I had was alright, definitely a unique item with a modest, tasty side of breakfast potatoes. I had to try one of the croffles too and it was so delicious. The owner was super generous with the coffee too, and her service was very hospitable in general. Would love to see this restaurant get some more love & support especially with how gracious their pricing is.

“I was recommended here by a friend. Tried their special beef pho, and it was amazing. The soup was so good that I had to ask for extra after finished the noodles. Service was quick and friendly as well. Overall a wonderful experience for me.”
