“Best Korean bbq in mtl.BYOB , good quality meats !Super fun spot to go with a friends.Only negative is that the staff if kind of all over the place, they don’t pick up empty dishes which is a little unpleasant when you’re a group of people and have no space“
“Super bon ! L'ambiance est wow. La musique pour ceux qui connaissent est dans le style de "Keshi" l'artiste. Super relax et la présentation des plats est wowww?❤️ Je vais revenir c'est sûre !J'ai pris les ramens au boeuf. C'est pas trop épicé. Juste parfait :)“
“Desserts that we discovered when we arrived in Montreal. How good and delicious it is! We ordered once to eat there, and twice to take away. Our crofres and drinks have always been good. The atmosphere there isn't great, but the products make up for it. Delivery has always gone smoothly for us so far. No waiting too long. The packaging is beautiful and sober. In short, a good discovery “
“My son said I should try Dawa Chicken on Sherbrooke so I did. Very nice people who work there, great service with a smile and a cup of tea, very nice touch. Their chicken was great, crisp, hot and tasted good. Give them a try and judge for yourself.“
“Amazing experience at Karin. The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious, so many different things to try. Some of our favorites: Yaki-udon, sashimi and the bibimbap. They were also very careful with my allergies. We will definitely return!“
“Wow , everything we tried was delicious ?. The service is great, the atmosphere is homey and comfortable. You pay first and then depending on the side of the dosirak you want it's either "lunch" size or as we called if "dinner "size. The side of miso soup was a nice touch as well! Fancy deserts? Get a croffle or get yourself a snack ! Definitely a gem ? and we will be coming back.“
“Little restaurant on St Laurent, in the heart or Chinatown, that showcases amazing Korean food. The food was ro die for; fresh, hot, flavorful and decent portions. The hospitality and service was truly one of the best I've ever had. Most definitely recommend and will be back to share this beautiful spot with friends and family.“
“Food was amazing. The service was great.Highly recommend Bibimbap as a main dish. Korean BBQ was ok, not a must.Appetizers were small, yet enough for the experience menu.Prices and the quality of food and service are very compatible. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the force 18% tips. I think it's a disrespectful format most restaurants are working with. I must say I almost gave 3 stars for that.“
“Menu is limited but the restaurant is still a welcomed addition as there are not many korean restaurants in this area of downtown. I would rank the food in par with other Korean restaurants in Montreal downtown. I had the lunch set (dorasik) with soup and salad. Compared to the regular plate, it was also served with fries and fried dumplings. The spicy pork dorasik was tasty but I wish it was more saucy. Their dining room was quite chilly so the food got cold really fast, and the atmosphere lacked some coziness.“
“Foods is delicious! Big portion for the price and the seasoning for bulgogi is sooo good!We went in a group around 10:30 pm, and even though it was late, the server was very nice and gave us a great service. Will definitely come back!Highly recommend :)“
“I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and provided exceptional service throughout. The food was delicious, and every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a top-notch experience. Five stars all the way!“
“omg ! on s'attend pas à çà! super servive mais pas du tout ordinaire. on se sent servit comme des rois. l'expérience est super ! essayez surtout les sushis kimpo, les sushis kimpo boeuf et prenez des Brochettes à volonté de chaque !! Merci on a adoré. notre serveur était Patrick :)“
“So far, the best sushis and bibimpap I had in weeks!! Ingredients are FRESH❤️❤️❤️I recommend 100%I love the owners, they are so kind with the clients. The service is always perfect and quick. That's a good point since I work and don't have much time for lunch! You beloved client,Hajar“
“Amazing authentic food made, cozy and eclectic restaurant, and a stand alone chef. This amazing man serves and cooks all by himself. A little slow, but most definitely worth the weight. So many little knickknacks to look at and mouth watering flavours to eat on a cold or a hot day.“
“Located underground near mcgill metro station’s eaton centre entry. The ladies are super fast and friendly, they have multiple options when it comes to onigiris and it’s by far one of the best i’ve had in mtl. They can get busy though especially around lunch time so expect a line.“
“La nourriture c’est très délicieuse, le service vraiment vite, et le meilleur service que j’ai trouvé au montreal par Kazuko, Seoha The food is very delicious, the service really fast, and the best service I have found in Montreal by Kazuko, Seoha“
“Interesting place. Small but with good atmosphere. Service is good too, they serve you tea as courtesy. Sushi is good, but it could be better, it lacks a little of flavor and some look pre-cooked. Korean plates are good too, although they also lack a bit of seasoning, according to my taste.“
“I went there without knowing it was a Korean restaurant, but I was surprised to see “Igane” written on the sign.Like other reviews, the pork cutlet is really delicious. It is a steamed pork cutlet that you will want to eat again, even if compared to other famous pork cutlets in Korea (jeongdon, etc.).Be sure to try hirekatsu (tender pork cutlet)Seasoned chicken gangjeong comes with rice. The person I went with ate the pork rice bowl and said it was really delicious. What's a bit disappointing is that the store space is small. However, if I were a Korean living in Montreal, this is a restaurant I would go to often.Go when there aren't too many people and enjoy the meal.“
“I have been coming to this restaurant for several times already. My go to order is always the Katsu especially with the cheese. The portions are generous. I like the cheese and the sides. Also, the sauce is tasty.Parking: Parking is either paid or free on certain hours and days“
“Cozy authentic Korean restaurant! The BEST Korean kimchi pancakes I’ve ever had! A perfect balance of crispiness and flavor that's unmatched. With an authentic menu and friendly service, it's a top choice for a satisfying Korean dining experience.“
“Surprisingly deceiving from the outside! Doesn’t appear to be a hip spot from the parking lot, but once you enter, you feel like you have entered into another world. The decor is nice. Place is clean. Service is good. Food is on point. The Kalbitang is very good! The Dolsot Bimbimbap is good too. Portions are very generous! Ample parking.Overall, very good Korean restaurant!“
“I visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. There was lots of parking about a block away and had no issues finding the place.Prices are very reasonable and service was friendly. I only had drinks and didn't order any food but would definitely consider coming here again for a small bite.“
“Go for it!We ate there (two of us) completely by chance while looking for a Korean restaurant that would welcome us without reservation. We were seated immediately and served (drink and starter) within 15 minutes. No more waiting for the dish once the starter is finished.Everything is excellent, hot and served with a smile. The fried chicken and seafood crepe are very good! But the Galbi (their specialty I think) is to die for for any meat lover!Thank you again for this great time spent in your restaurant :)“
“We had a great meal and the service was attentive. Those + the lively ambience made for a fun evening! ONE CAVEAT: ask for the sommelier if you want a knowledgeable wine recommendation—we first went with a white wine recommended by the server that turned out to be orange-coloured (despite not being an orange wine) and undrinkable past a sip or two.“
“Cheap, plentiful and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the pork bone soup. Yes, it's a bit of a "cafeteria" atmosphere, but oddly that adds to the charm of the place. Trust me, once you're digging in, you will NOT regret it. ???Dietary restrictions: I have several allergies, and the staff was very helpful. I got to eat a delicious meal without any worries.“
“From the moment we stepped into Restaurant Makoto, we were greeted by the warm ambiance that promised a memorable dining experience. The starters set the stage for the culinary delights that followed. The Pajeon was a crispy, savory pancake that was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, while the Takoyaki was a delightful treat, with its tender octopus filling encased in a light and fluffy batter. The main course was a generous display of the restaurant's commitment to both quality and quantity. The Chicken Katsu was a standout, with its perfectly crispy exterior and succulent interior, accompanied by a hearty portion of steamed rice, fresh vegetables, and two delectable gyozas. But the star of the evening was undoubtedly the Chicken Okonomiyaki. This Japanese savory pancake was not only huge in size but also in flavor. Each bite was a mix of tender chicken and a rich, complex array of seasonings that made it extremely flavorful. In conclusion, Restaurant Makoto in Montreal is a gem that offers an authentic taste of Japanese cuisine. The dishes we tried were not only delicious but also presented with care, making our dining experience truly exceptional. We left with our appetites fully satisfied and our taste buds tantalized, eagerly anticipating our next visit.“
“I can't believe it took me this long to try this place! the food was amazing and the service pretty fast. I'm also a big fan of the playlist hahah. the place doesn't look the best but don't let that fool you, it's a must try!“
“I ordered takeout for lunch and tried it. I saw Jean Coutu and others next door, so I saw it a few times while walking around, but honestly, it looked a bit old on the outside, so I wondered if it was a properly run restaurant a few times. The glass was old so it was hard to see inside, but the hall in the restaurant was neater and quite spacious than I expected. There were quite a few Koreans eating there.Food is divided into meals and snacks (chicken, snacks, etc.), and since we have kids, we order Jajangmyeon and chicken. Jajangmyeon was a lot better than I expected. The contents inside weren't bad, and it was nice that the noodles didn't get dry. I tried both fried and seasoned chicken and compared them, and the fried chicken was not bad. It doesn't have a sophisticated taste like Korean franchises, but it's still fried crispy and not greasy, so it doesn't taste like the chicken is soaked in oil. Quite a clean taste. The seasoning is made with boneless meat, haha. To be honest, the seasoning isn't bad, but it's a taste I'm familiar with from places like Cheogatjip Whole Chicken in Korea. The chicken is pretty high quality and the taste isn't bad. What is disappointing is the amount. As for the Jajangmyeon, reviews from those who ate it at the hall say that the portion is generous, but the portion is smaller than expected for the price. Usually, when you look at Korean restaurants in other countries, the amount of food is larger if you eat to go than if you eat in the hall, but here it is the opposite. Other than this, this is a place worth trying if you miss Korean food. While nearby Monami is a place that imitates Korean food, this place is a place where you can try Korean food. For reference, if you go to go, you get a 15% discount.“
Merci encore!“
“Wonderful place for a Japanese and Korean cuisine or meal after a trip from the montreal museum of fine arts. Just a walking distance. Clean and ample spacing between tables. Our server was courteous and alert for our needs. Our food was quick than we expected to be served. It was a delicious taste for our palates. No parking. High chair available. Accepts credit/debit.“
“Ok so in the world of Korean fried chicken, this place has them all beat by a mile. The chicken is cooked in a pan one order at a time and takes a little time but worth it.The seasoning is excellent and I suggest you don’t opt for the variety of sauces and stick with the plain breaded version. And if you have leftovers it’s great for a cold lunch the next day too.Their pickled daikon radish - Korean version is a Cole slaw is excellent. Their kimchi is super too.I have had some other hot dishes that were also very good but it’s the chicken that’s the absolute bomb. Please, don’t pass this around to many people as I don’t want my best place in the city to have this type of chicken to become too busy.Interior. Nice and decent for a date night. More a family environment.Quality. Fresh and cooked a la minute.Value. Excellent value and portions are good.Service. Pretty good. You can go in line and order and then get your table and they bring the food to you.Vegetarian options: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Great option near the Loyola campus in NDG. I included a pic of the spicy ramen with chicken, but I’ve tried many others and you can’t go wrong here. The “spicy” level is mild so if you like it hotter you have to ask. Delicious, great portion sizes, and fast service. I have also ordered delivery and the portion sizes and presentation of the meals in the take out containers is also great. Super recommend!“
“This Mon Ami location stands out as my favorite in the chain! The food is SO GOOD! I like how their menu, featuring unique items like corndogs, which sets it apart from other branches. Not only is the food delicious, but it's also affordable. Also the staff is so friendly and kind!“
“I really enjoyed my breakfast at Maté Latte! The espresso was very good! The barista did praise the beans and I definitely agreed with her after trying it. I really like how their menu was Korean on one side and breakfast/brunch on the other. Lots of variety for picky eaters! I ended up going with the omurice and I really enjoyed it!“
“We were looking for a place to go and have a bento box and found this restaurant on Park Avenue. we managed to find street parking a few blocks away. as we recall, there were a set of stairs to head upstairs, which brought you to the main entrance of the restaurant. It kind of feels like an old house converted into a restaurant.. as we entered, we felt the decor was very elegant and true to the establishment. We love the vibe, although it felt slightly rigid at times. There are a few tables beside windows, and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll get to sit there with some of the sunlight coming in. The menu is all online accessible via QR code. They have a good assortment of bento boxes as well as other traditional Korean dishes. Lia had the shrimp bento box and I had the bulgogi. The food was very delicious and prepared with care. as you can see from the video, the food was still steaming, hot as it was brought to our table. We were served green tea which we enjoyed throughout our meal. we really like this restaurant and would highly recommend for anyone looking for this type of cuisine.Kid-friendliness: There were a group of adults that came in with kids for the afternoon lunch, and they were well received and well accommodated.“
“The first time I came I spent my birthday here! Overall it was amazing, we had a reservation but still had to wait a bit too long. The service is great!Since I first wrote the review we've been there at least 10 more times and we don't wait for a table anymore, maybe it was just very busy day that one time. Now this is by far our favorite restaurant in Montreal and we'll continue to go often.“
“We had a fantastic evening at Petit Seoul! As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a charming lady who immediately made us feel at ease. Korean cuisine was a real treat for the taste buds. The ambiance of the restaurant was also very pleasant, with a comfortable atmosphere that allowed us to fully enjoy our romantic dinner. We highly recommend Petit Seoul to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience. “
“Restaurant Ding-Xiang: A gem in Montreal's ChinatownIf you're on the hunt for authentic Chinese street food in the heart of Montreal's Chinatown, look no further than Restaurant Ding-Xiang. This cozy takeout joint may be small, accommodating only two clients at a time, but the flavors it offers are anything but diminutive.Upon stepping inside, you're immediately greeted by the enticing aroma of spices and grilled meat that permeates the air. It sets the stage for a delightful culinary adventure.During our visit, we indulged in a selection of delectable dishes, including the mouthwatering Chinese crêpe, flavorful beef skewers, tender squid tentacles, and delicious fried steam buns—all for a surprisingly reasonable price of $22. The chili spice used as a dry rub was a unique touch, and while I appreciated the preference for dry rub over oil, I must admit, I'd have preferred a bit more heat. For those who crave fiery food, a bolder chili kick would be a welcomed addition.Restaurant Ding-Xiang proudly offers tapas-sized portions, and they live up to their promise in delivering satisfying flavors despite the smaller servings. It's worth noting that the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. However, due to its intimate size, it wouldn't be difficult to get the attention of the attentive staff even from the entrance, should assistance be required.Overall, our experience at Restaurant Ding-Xiang was delightful. The flavors and aromas took us on a culinary journey, and the reasonable prices left us content. The taste of their street food is enough to entice me to return for more. If you're a fan of authentic Chinese street cuisine, Ding-Xiang should be on your must-visit list.Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian options available at reasonable prices.Kid-friendliness: The tapas portion will appeal to all ages.“
“Ordered their black bean noodles Jajangmyeon via Ubereats. The food was well prepared and packed carefully. Very authentic taste like those in Seoul with affordable and reasonable price too. Definitely will have a dining experience with my friends here very soon!“
“Best korean bbq in town, JP and Will were amazing. If anyone wants to experience what is Montreal hospitality, i definitely recommend this spot. Food 10/10, service 10/10, Ambiance 100/10! Daldognae is great as k bbq but this spot is of the charts!“
“I absolutely adore their food. The medium spicy kimchi fried rice and Beef Udon are my all time favorites. I've tried to replicate their dishes at home but it's just not the same ! Wish I knew what their spicy sauce was :00Edit sept 27 2022Still as delicious as ever ! Thank you for still being open after the pandemic :) I make my way from downtown just to eat here!“
“Ganadara Bar has always been my top priority when it comes to Korean bars in Montreal. The service was top-notch from the moment I walked in. All the servers and manager were super nice and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. The combination of delicious food/dessert, exceptional service, and a lively Korean atmosphere makes it a must-visit destination! I highly recommend it! ?“
“If you eat here, you are sure to eat well and be treated well! The server was very attentive and got our food at a timely manner. Everything was SO delicious too. We got bibimbap, tteokbokki, japchae, tonkatsu and soondubu jjigae. In other places, the tteokbokki and soondubu are a miss but it's definitely a BIG WIN at Laon. It was so flavorful and not just spicy water like in other restaurants. The vibe is also quite cozy and homey.Their prices are pretty reasonable for their portions as well. We were so glad to have found this place! Would definitely recommend !“
“It’s a really nice and warm restaurant providing us no only delicious pogo but also cafe, cakes and other snacks. The potato kogo with half sausage half cheese are really good bites, crunchy, cheesy and so so delicious. The brownie cake are really tasty with chocolate chips in it.Really nice brunch!?Kid-friendliness: Kid’s favorite food“
“Best Korean Chinese food in Montreal! The Jjajangmyeon is in the style of Jjajangmyeon, just like the Jjajangmyeon in the early days of Korea, so it is very thick and delicious. I hope it continues to be like this in the future. Sweet and sour pork is also really delicious.“
“It’s so nice to have a Korean restaurant that still serves appetizer dishes after the pandemic. Everything is homemade and fresh. Nice chewy and flavorful black bean noodles. The original flavored fried chicken is marinated with salt and black pepper; not much meat, though very crispy. The seafood pancake was ok; enjoyed it more with the homemade dipping sauce. Friendly family owned restaurant. Take away food packages are impeccable.“
“On adorait le resto à la table. on a donc essayé la livraison aujourd'hui. Les plats sont arrivés froids, pas tièdes ...froids ! J'avais ecrit un commentaire de mettre un plat non épicé, ça n'a pas été fait. et aucun appel pour dire par exemple qu'il n'avait pas un substitution... Très déçue !“
“On my friend's recommendation, I went to a Korean restaurant to eat bibimbap. The quality of the food was good, but it was not like the picture on the menu. I ordered chicken bibimbap and I had heard from my friend that it has a layer of rice, a layer of vegetables containing mushrooms, carrots, and other vegetables, and an egg. Fried. But my dish had soft-boiled eggs and no layer of vegetables, but there was a little salad on the side of my plate. Actually, my food is rice and chicken It was with special sauce and salad, and of course it was delicious and very spicy.“
“A great find in Montreal's downtown area. The portions are enormous for the price. The Ttoekbokki was delicious and spicy. The fried chicken was amazing, both dishes were well seasoned, the skin was crispy while the meat was still quite juicy. The ambiance was vibrant and well decorated with names on the wall.“
“Ordered Comon (takeout) tonight and it was delicious! The fried chicken had a light, crispy batter, and the meat was so so juicy! I also ordered japchae (spicy) and tteokbokki and both were very tasty and fresh. The service was quick and courteous. I especially appreciate that the owner took my order in French (je parlais en français quand j’ai appelé) even though she’s learning the language! She made the effort and I really appreciated it. I definitely recommend this spot and I will be ordering again!“
