Better value, anyway. For the price of a sandwich at Schwartz's, you can get the whole Schmear at Bingo: nice tasty sandwich, crispy fries, tangy coleslaw, slice of pickle, and soda can of your choice. Better service, anyway. Better accommodations. Better experience all around. This place ain't a neighbourhood fixture for nothing, bubele.
Throwback diner decor, small and bustling. No table service these days. They gave me a pager but the meal was ready within about three minutes. Friendly multilingual staff. The poutine combo with two steamies and a soda was an amazing value. Fries seemed double cooked, curds stayed firm, sauce was abundant if not tangy. Hot and tasty from beginning to end. Steamies were typical Montreal style hotdogs (I ordered "all-dressed"). In short, a strong recommend. Can't wait to return.

I've been eating here for years. I've never had any issues till now. I find the prices are going up too much and too quickly. The food is great and the service is good. It's a shame the prices are becoming alittle hard to comprehend.
