“The food here is absolutely amazing. They're pizza is one of the best I have ever tasted. It is fresh and tastes splendid. The staff here is very friendly and do such an amazing job. It also has a great atmosphere if you plan on dining in.“
“Fantastic bar on the west side of Providence, walkable from Downtown, Federal Hill, and the West End. My favorite part of their drink menu is their cocktails, but they have a great beer selection and decent wine selection as well. Prices are very affordable, and the service has always been great. Most times I’ve gone it’s been a chill spot, not too crowded with good music. This past weekend I went and it was packed. We figured we came during an event, and turns out it was Kimi’s birthday! Even got a slice of birthday cake on the house, and had a great time even though we felt a bit like party crashers. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly, though, and I’m looking forward to coming back again!“

“Go to "let's just go out to eat tonight" spot. Foods always good. Particular favorites (that never disappoint): Shrimp Mozambique, Baked Haddock, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Baked Seafood Trio, and any of the steaks. The Fish & Chips is good, but not like Irish pub good; The Chicken Parm on the other hand coulda come outta a place with Chianti bottles hanging from the ceiling.“

“My husband and I were fortunate enough to have Troop host our wedding in November and it was the best time! Every one of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Adam and Nikki helped me from the beginning to capture my vision of my perfect wedding day. The staff was on point and the food...A-MAZING! No stuffy country club blah food here! And we had bartenders that rocked!! Never waited for a drink. As the bride...I have to give Nikki a special shout out, she was right there to make sure my husband and I ate and were taken care of. The best was when I was getting into the limo to leave and she handed me a take out bag with pieces of my wedding cake and Troop's delicious chocolate chip cookies. If you haven't had one then your missing out. My guests all left with one to take home. I highly recommend Troop to host your next party. Enjoy!“
“Wonderful curated bookstore! Not only do they have adult books, they have great children books and greeting cards. The owners Alexa and Emory are the nicest pair and make the store so welcoming. I also love that you can order any book online through them. Definitely check it out!“

“Perhaps one of The Point Tavern's most enchanting features is its private patio. This hidden gem offers an intimate setting for dining, drinking, and socializing. Surrounded by tasteful greenery and ambient lighting. Each dish, from appetizers to entrees, is prepared with an attention to detail, combining classic comfort food with innovative twists.“
“Great place to hang. Owners are amazing and the staff are some of the best in the business! Great selection of beers and spirits, free pinball and spectacular decor if you’re a horror fan. Where else can you go and see a picture of an autographed foot?“

“Fabulously located on the river with great outdoor seating, very bike friendly and a great spot for a date!! We tried Besina, the Mexican concept for lunch one day and the Italian concept, Double Zero, for dinner another night. Both had inventive, well executed menus though not a total knockout from either. Would come back to try more from both of these spots, as well as the other businesses in the market hall. Double Zero: We loved the deconstructed raw lasagne - I cannot emphasize how cool this dish is - cultured cashew ricotta, dollops of tomato sauce and pesto, and thinly sliced ribbons of raw zucchini. It's phenomenal and I want to make it at home. Not as great - the chili pizza. It doesn't have enough toppings and was just an oily sheet of dry dough with globs of the same cashew ricotta. Besina: We were pleased to be introduced to Tlayuda, a thin Oaxacan flat bread that they top with jackfruit, loads of cultured cashew crema, herbs, and avocado. My partner was crazy about it but i'm generally not totally convinced by the sweetness of jackfruit and it was a little too wet for my taste. Not as great - the Tacos Dorados. Fried oyster mushrooms were heavy and dense and served with an aioli which contributed to the heavy flavors. Could be remedied with a lighter batter on the mushrooms and more of a salad/pickled veg component and it would be delicious. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-04“

“John the owner is super friendly and sociable and his staff (especially Honna) give amazing service and are very friendly to be around. Have seen many live bands here and it’s great to see the local scene continue on through here highly recommend!“
“Quite the hidden gem. I stumbled upon this as a choice coming in from out of town and considered it an option if we had nothing else to do. We had some time, so wandered over to this very unassuming to the point of worrisome place. However, super worth it. I've been to barcades before but haven't been to one that charges a general admission ($7 pp) for unlimited games which is (pun intended) a game changer. The drinks were very reasonably priced. The gaming options felt like I was preparing for Ready Player One, with extensive options. Most games were functional (RIP left guitar of Guitar Hero) and it was awesome to be able to win skeeball and air hockey over and over again and continue my mission on various games without having to pay for more time. Wish I had more time to spend here!“

“the doorman (Bam, I think was his name?) was very polite and was very on top of checking EVERY ID (we watched him). haha also the bartenders were kicking ass (Morgan and another guy) and it was packed in here due to a memorial, and that was great to see the comradere at this local bar for the sad loss of a local.“

“My new favorite bar! There are places that are just aesthetic and places that are just vibey and this place has all the vibes and is aesthetically pleasing in spades. “Officially one of my new favorite restaurants in providence! When you walk in, there's dim lighting which I particularly enjoyed especially because it made the providence sign stand out. Our waitress was kind and very attentive from the minute we were seated. Now the food was divine, everything was perfect. We ordered the calamari and each ordered the short rib with gnocchi. Every ingredient in that dish complimented each other so well, it was such a lovely culinary experience. My friend also ordered the "only fans" drink which she enjoyed. Will definitely return and can't wait to introduce more family and friends to this restaurant.“
“What a fun place. A great neighborhood local bar. The owners treat you well and the bartenders made sure your glass is never empty. Great evening with a group of friends and listen to the entertainment. I look forward to going back soon.Derek D.“

“Frequenting Red Door has become a ritual for my friends and myself, and for a good reason - it's a culinary destination that effortlessly marries an exceptional drink menu with an inviting ambiance and engaging events. Red Door, in my experience, is a delightful journey through flavors with menu items such as the Heihei chicken and drinks such as Oaxacacillin, and Emerald City, and an ever-changing tapestry of events, and a haven of positive vibes.“

“My favorite Mexican restaurant! Everything I order is always fresh and delicious. Few of my favorites queso, birra tacos, rice and beans and enchiladas. “Super cute cafe with plenty of seating and bar seating too. They have gluten free options as well- buns for sandwiches and they had a delicious gf raspberry peach muffin the day I went. Very friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be coming back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“I just wanted to drop a 5-star review and give a shoutout to Dallas for making us feel so welcome this evening. I called ahead to inquire about mocktails, and was told they could definitely accommodate that request. My coworker and I showed up, neither of us drink, and Dallas made us both amazing mocktails. I often feel like the bartenders in most places are annoyed when you don’t drink alcohol but I really did feel welcome and included and was very grateful. The drinks were great, and I will definitely be back, alcohol or no alcohol. You guys are great! Thanks so much.“

“Apps - Polenta fries were the best I’ve ever had. Nice crispy exterior and beautifully creamy inside. Well seasoned and you get the taste of jalepeño without the spiciness. As someone who makes their own plenty of fries at home, I highly recommend these! We also shared the ribs which were fall off the bone amazing! Sauce had a little kick and I appreciated the garnish with peanuts to provide some crunch!Overall, I think the apps were better than the entree and there were a lot more “small plates” to choose from.Entree - my partner and I split the fried chicken sandwich and burger. Both of which were great sandwiches, meaty and well seasoned. Fries come on the side and had a nice seasoning on them.Service - appetizers came out quick, no issues there. However, for the entrées, I was served my sandwich five minutes before my partner and was nearly done before he got his food. That’s really the only fault we can find!Key Takeaways:⭐️ bring friends to go tapas style with all the amazing small plates / appetizers⭐️ingredients are high qualityWheelchair accessibility: Accessible“

“My daughter and I have been wanting to go here since the start of the pandemic! Finally made it. It is the cutest bar. Small inside but heated patio outside. We went when they first opened on NYE. “It’s a good spot that stays open later than most places in the area but with really good food. I’ve come back multiple times in one week.Loved almost everything I’ve had here. The charcuterie board comes with soft boiled eggs and toasts.I like the lighting in the evening ; nice and dim but I did see some people needing their phone lights to see the menu. I thought it was perfect lighting though.Great mashed potatoes. Very creamy and maybe whipped? The prices of some items are reasonable and others are a bit more expensive. Fries were $9 and they were great but I just think that’s an odd price for that.It does get really loud in here at night on weekends as they try to transition into more of a bar.Parking is obviously a bit difficult but they seem to offer valet services and I chose to walk instead. It’s also not far from the bus for easy public transportation. You should make a reservation if you decide to come here during popular times like Friday-Saturday nights but most other times are fine.“

“Mediterranean Grill has become one of our "go-to's" when my wife and I decide to go out to dinner! They have a robust menu offering and you can try something different every time, whether you're looking for a light meal or a hearty one. We typically grab a couple seats at the bar, and the staff is always very friendly and attentive. Every time we walk in, a manager is there to greet us and gets us to a couple seats either by the bar or at the adjacent tables. One of my favorite items on the menu is the messa platter--- sometimes I'll even just order this as my entree. If you enjoy Greek food, this is the place for you!“

“I had a wonderful experience at Nick’s last night. Brought my dad there for his birthday on a reservation I had made the night before. We were running ahead of schedule so called to see if they could take us early and they were SO accommodating! Also, I had mentioned (very much in passing) when I made the rez that it was my dad’s bday. I definitely didn’t make a big deal about it. And shortly after we sat down, our server (maybe she was the manager/owner?) brought over 2 glasses of Prosecco and wished him a happy birthday!!! What an amazing and thoughtful touch! The food was amazing as usual (I love nicks!) and when asked, our server knew where all the ingredients came from (almost all local!) and even turned me on to a new delicious tequila (also from a local family!). Overall, A+ rating for Nick’s!! Thank you!“
“I had some time to kill before catching a train out of town. I'm glad I stopped in here. Such a cool, laid-back cocktail bar in downcity Providence. “I visited here for the first time while visiting my great aunt. She brought me here, saying that this is one of her favorite restaurants in the area. She's been coming for over 10 years! I can definitely see why she's such a loyal customer. To start, we shared a bowl of their Seafood Chowder. I had to try it after seeing that it had won awards in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2016. It was hands down the best chowder I've ever had. The broth was incredibly creamy, but not too heavy, with a perfect balance of savory flavors. For my main course, I ordered the Prime Rib Wrap. The prime rib was piled high, juicy, and had just the right amount of spice. It was paired with melted Swiss cheese, peppercorn mayo all wrapped in a warm, crispy tortilla dusted with Cajun seasoning. The combination of textures and flavors was absolutely delicious. My great aunt opted for her usual, the Baked Scrod, and as always, she raved about it. It's clear that the quality and consistency of the food here keeps her coming back. The service was also excellent. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. She stopped by frequently and made sure that we were happy with our meals.I can't wait to visit again!Parking: If the parking lot next to the restaurant is full, check out the lot across the street.“

“The new, full service bar is very attractive, with great lighting, a tin ceiling and a fully stocked bar. What is not new is the continued great, personable service by John, the owner, and the Delicious food. The burgers were cooked to perfection, the onion petals and their sauce are amazing. I'm not a fried food fan, but those onion petals cannot be beat!“

“Gary & Craig have carried on the tradition that the Feeney's set for decades prior. Some updates have been made and DO NOT miss out on St Patrick's Day or MORE importantly their annual Toys for Tots fundraiser!
