“Such a delicious little restaurant! I’m vegan, dined at Foglia with my carnivorous husband and we both loved it. The food is fresh and delicious and has multiple layers of flavor. It was such a treat. After our meal, Chef Pete came out to talk with us about our meal. Will definitely return.”

“I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating. I enjoyed mussels, scallops, little necks over pasta in scampi sauce. Others had the salmon as well as the bolognese. It's a very roomy, quiet setting near the water. Staff came out to sing happy birthday with a luscious ice cream dessert with a candle on top. I was pleasantly surprised. We will return to this place for sure!”

“Jules Ice cream is the absolute BEST in Bristol! We live in Michigan, and visit often. The staff are simply wonderful. If they are ever having an overwhelming or bad day, you would NEVER know. They always greet you with a welcome, hello & smile. Oh, the waffle cones are scrumptious and the selection of ice cream is fabulous!”

“We arrived thirty minutes early for our reservation and were seated right away. We were greeted by our server immediately and brought water, we were given time to settle in with our guest but never ignored. The oysters were delicious, the steak frites right on point, steak perfectly cooked and the fries had just been cooked. The grilled lobsters not overcooked and the accompaniments delicious! We had no room for dessert but look forward to our next visit! Service was friendly and never intruding, selection of wine by the glass covered our needs. The restaurant was not crowded so conversation was easy with minimal noise. We had a great experience.”

“Late lunch today and the Chicken Enis with a Baileys sauce was tasty and cooked just right. The chowder was very good and not clogged up with excess flour, just the way we like it. Onion rings were a marvel. Tasty batter but notably crispy and flavorful.
And our server, Alicea, was quick professional and fun too!”

It can be inconvenient to get in and out of when Metacom's busy, but it's worth it for the affordable, tasty fare AND the very friendly counter staff. They are genuinely lovely-- I try to tip with cash and plenty of places, they're rude when you order ahead & they think they're not getting anything. Not here, great customer service!

To the girl who insisted after my father asked if everything in our order was in the bag that it was, to your manager who was unhelpful and should be dealt with accordingly and whomever portioned out the meal should be reprimanded as well. Our oven is broken on Thanksgiving and your incompetence made it an even greater day. “This lovely spot right on the water in Bristol was excellent in every way--the food, the service, and the great ambience. You can sit at a chair or table along the water and watch the sunset and the sailboats! Parking may be a challenge at times, but that might have been for us because there was a wedding at the venue the evening we were there.”
