What a well-kept secret! Drinks are amazing. The Mai Tai was boozy and not too sweet and Juniper Rising was like velvet. I'm a Southern pimento cheese snob and theirs gets an NC stamp of approval--sharp and smokey. The RI calamari was lightly breaded with a rich marinara. Finished off with the schnitzel, which rivals any I had in Germany or Austria. Paired with garlic potatoes, it melted down. We had a great night at a special place. The flavors were fresh and interesting. The service was exceptional! It was a perfect evening to be outside in Bristol. They welcomed our husky and were so kind. We will be back, for sure.
As a first time visitor to Bristol RI, my choice to dine at the Statesman Tavern was the right one. The ambiance, attentive service, food and excellent beverage offerings were all fabulous. Told my wife about the place and she and I will surely dine there again in the future when we both visit Bristol together. Craig Clausen
