Visiting and found this place close to our hotel. Food is excellent! But the powers them be are closing them and taking the land. It's a damn shame!

Go before Bishop's is gone... I tried a piece of Mom's Johny cake, it like a thin pancake with crispy edges. Made with corn meal. I'll be getting my own next time. Service and the prices are great.

Amazing diner! Excellent/fast service, plentiful food, tasted great/better than I've had in a while. Staff was friendly and happy to be there. And lastly, the prices were amazing. $9.99 for eggs, bacon, home fries, toast, and French toast. Can't beat it.

My favorite local Classic Diner which serves up a delicious breakfast all morning, including the local specialty, Johnny cakes. Get there before it's close down in about six months. If you like diners, this is the place to go. Cash only, as should be the case

Oh my goodness where do I begin. The food was amazing today decor was so quaint. The staff was beyond friendly accommodating and very pleasant. I don't live in that area but if I go back it will be on my list for every meal.
Warm welcome and great coffee, says it all, but they don't stop from making you feel cared for. Singing and laughing with good conversations. Place has parking towards the back and front of the restaurant. Don't get caught up not knowing what you don't want as the Waffle's are a great start especially the ones from Belgium. ; ) The place has comfort not just with its' unique design for the interior but with the appreciation that ever customer is left with a greeting at the door.

Just a top notch spot right here. The service simply does not get any better than this. And I’ll tell you one thing, the chili + grilled cheese combo absolutely slaps every. single. time. One of my favorite spots in Newport for sure.
