Decent bar on Thames street that has been here forever it seems. Good live bands mixed in with dj's. Service is ok nothing outstanding but not horrible. Always a mixed and diverse crowd. On the divey side but in a good way.
Visited on a late Sunday afternoon after peak season, so I can't say what it's like during the summer, but easy to get in, friendly and helpful staff. Menu was light, with typical pub foods, wraps, burgers, and seafoods featuring crab and lobster. My companion and I had fish, she a sandwich and I the fish and chips, both were delicious. This is a feel-good fun bar. They have live music every night they are open. Their hours do change as the busy season changes like most of Newport. For an extra fun time, go upstairs and see the dualing pianos. That is always a guarantee good time.I have only had drinks here, which are Newport pricey, and I never had any food.
