Oh no, the bar took down my 1 star rating because they're so whiny. You clowns. Lmao. Bartender can't handle personal opinions and has to defend his honor like the princess bride. Bro, I want a whisky not your 2 cents. Even after I felt bad and tipped 100% of my tab to the butt hurt bartender they still banned me for the night. You call yourself an Irish Pub but I got banned for voicing my opinion, lol. I wasn't vulgar or violent, just hurt the bartenders feelings. Straight clown shoes. Also, they got rid of the pool table so now there's definitely nothing to do if you don't like it here to begin with.

I purchased a drink from the second floor bar. I got a whiskey on the rocks, took it to my table and was sipping on it for about 5 minutes until I looked down and saw 4 bugs in the cup. This is December there are no bugs flying around. I went to the bartender who 100% addressed the problem apologized and replaced my drink with a higher spirit. She picked up the higher end bottle, looked at it saw something that made her put it down, and went to the closet and opened a brand new bottle. Honestly the first time I have had bugs in a drink I ordered.

This is a feel-good fun bar. They have live music every night they are open. Their hours do change as the busy season changes like most of Newport. For an extra fun time, go upstairs and see the dualing pianos. That is always a guarantee good time.I have only had drinks here, which are Newport pricey, and I never had any food.
Decent bar on Thames street that has been here forever it seems. Good live bands mixed in with dj's. Service is ok nothing outstanding but not horrible. Always a mixed and diverse crowd. On the divey side but in a good way.

Wow. It doesn't look like I can trash this place any more than others have. The service team is dreadful. The piano crew is actually pretty good, musically, but the show is 30% Barry Manilow, 30% Elton John, and 40% Happy Birthday. A really awful night. This is a zero star forced to one star by bad technology.

Visited on a late Sunday afternoon after peak season, so I can't say what it's like during the summer, but easy to get in, friendly and helpful staff. Menu was light, with typical pub foods, wraps, burgers, and seafoods featuring crab and lobster. My companion and I had fish, she a sandwich and I the fish and chips, both were delicious. The "locally sourced" cod was basted and had some Old Bay seasoning, but not so much as to make it too spicy. The chips/fries were perfect. Finished with draft 'Gansetts while enjoying the view of the bay from our window seats.Price was surprisingly reasonable and made leaving a good tip for the wonderful waitress easy.

Went in sat at a table they said to pick wherever and 30 minutes go by no one came to even ask for our drinks but 4 tables of white people sat after us got served quick so we walked out . We went to the red parrot instead definitely
