Best 18 and up bar I have been to .... Service was great. Ping pong table really made up for the lack of space. Not to mention the food there is excellent. One of the best social spaces in downtown Newport for sure!
Smugglers is not easy to find, but if you venture off Thames St. towards the ferry landing you will find it. This is a bar with bar food. Nothing really special, except the view of the harbor. No really, you come here for the view and to enjoy drinks with whomever. Ordered: clam chowder, bang shrimp and mozzarella sticks. All three were a solid 3. All were nothing special institutional frozen or pre-made foods.

We have been coming here a long time. Was a bit worried this time though as no waitresses. Had to order food at the bar and she brought it out. Seemed to take awhile to get food but she appeared to be on her own and did a great job. I hope it was a one time thing as the view is perfect for drinks and lunch!Had a chicken wrap, was very good!!Parking: This time of year is tough to find parking. However right across from the restaurant is a $20 a day lot that was great!
