Well, here was a surprise, or maybe not. We were charged 20% tip, with option to add more tip to the bill. Anyone dining at this restaurant should BE AWARE that they could receive the check with tip already included. We had noticed that many resort communities automatically add tip to their check during the busy summer months, but for Newport Rhode Island, this was just strange. Now, on to the food. This was the first time we visited The Deck. Staff was attentive; drinks and food came out fast. Food prices were reasonable and we had a great meal. Jazz band performing was fabulous! It was a festive evening and we will be back.
