From the maître d' to the waitstaff, to those that prepare the awesome food, everything was top-notch and food was extremely flavorful. No wonder they've been in business for so long!

I think it's just OK, not very good, not bad. Ordered a kids pizza, didn't smell right or taste right

Excellent service and food. Servers were fantastic. Prices great. You really need to carry gluten free pasta.

Very disappointed. Veal parm was average with a little pasta. Waitress also had an attitude. Will not be back. Too many good restaurants on the hill.

Overpriced. And charged me 50 cents for a plastic little cup worth a tablespoon if sauce? No thanks. Two stars cause my waiter was perfect. Never again.

Ancient restaurant in Little Italy, Atwells Avenue, Providence. Not sure where it ranks with the other old restaurants, but our meal was excellent, and the service very good. Scungili salad, calamari, braciola, veal and peppers, spaghettini agility, even good old spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was excellent. Definitely worth a return trip.

Angelo's is a long-time favorite of mine. I've been coming here since I moved to RI in the mid-90's, but they've been around since 1924 with the same delicious Italian comfort food, basic recipes done very well. Their eggplant Parm is pan-fried, not deep fried, which makes it melt in your mouth. Their pastas and other Parms are equally as good. They have a weird but wonderful side dish of meatballs and French fries... I've heard they started serving this during the Great Depression to help fill up diners cheaply. With moderate prices and a friendly staff, this is the closest restaurant experience you'll have to sitting at your Nonna's Sunday dinner table. Be sure to have a slice of Spumoni with Claret sauce for dessert!
