Absolutely fantastic experience. There is nothing better than a traditional Italian meal in a truly fabulous restaurant like the Old Canteen. Zero stars for me. Horrible, rude and slow service for a party of 12 with a thousand dollar check. From the start, a staff member made it a point to embarrass me in front of the group by making me remove my flat-cap/newsies hat (I mentioned I suffer from alopecia and we had confirmed the dress code ahead of time - "casual, come as you are" - hats were not mentioned, and I was told that did not matter and to remove it). Best Italian food in all of Rhode Island. I read some of these other reviews and I've never had experiences like them. I'm a regular there and they always take the best care of me. And the food is always delicious and perfect. I love the chicken Parm. Also they have the best icecream and wandies for dessert. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's the best!!!!
