A somewhat difficult place to review if you are at all familiar with the now defunct Rocky Point chowder house. Nostalgia aside this place is just ok clam cakes are close to the original but the chowder was served a bit tepid, never a good thing for what should be hot chowder. The grounds have tables etc but it makes one dream of overlooking the bay at the original location, so like I said unfortunately you find yourself comparing and it shouldn't be that way. To those who don't remember you are faced with a mediocre clam cake and chowder place. Better than nothing right.

One star only out of disappointment. Looking for clamcakes on a Saturday afternoon. Closed. I could not tell if this was seasonal, COVID or permanent. Meta experience with the intended look of the circus animals from Rocky Point

Delicious! Best fish and chips around. Delicious clam cakes and I love the johns fish sandwich. The batter on the fish is perfect.

Best lobster roll! Warm with butter on a grilled bun!!!

The poor rating is because they post a sign that says no pets allowed yet all seating is an outdoor patio. They really need to get with the times because many restaurants have added outdoor seating and your pet is welcome. Today I had to lock my 7 lb Maltese in the car while I went to get food and it totally irritated me. Next time it will be Iggy's.

Used to come here alot when I was younger still great food and real nice place depending on time of year

I like the combo of white chowder and clam cakes...the cakes are a smaller size but very tasty and loaded with clams unlike other more popular ocean front eateries who give you mostly batter inside and No clams

I was so excited to be able to experience the clam chowder and clam cakes of my childhood once again while visiting my hometown area. While thankful that the opportunity still exists, it was strange to have it reduced to a couple trailers at the front of a (dying) shopping center. I was disappointed that the chowder was only lukewarm.

Glad to see all 3 chowder types available

One of the few places I have been to that serves hot lobster rolls. Would highly recommend!
Clam cakes and chowder were fine. The fish taco could be improved. The calamari was unimpressive.

Lobster roll was good. But my favorite is the fried whole belly clams. Good outdoor seating. A 15 minute wait for my food. (prob because of the fried clams)

Went here with my hubby about a week ago I don't personally eat any seafood so I drove by this place pretty much everyday for the last 30 years if not more. But on this day we finally got a little me time and my other half wanted a lobster roll.I will say they have one of the best burgers I got the Rocky Burger with fries they were delicious and my bun was toasted so this burger stayed in place until the very ladt bite.My other half had a lobster roll that was stuffed with lobster and had melted butter it also came with fries and he had said its the best lobster he's had in a long time.Definitely worth the money.

We were in the area and wanted some local Rhode Island food. Rocky Point Clam Shack was recommended, so we gave it a shot without knowing anything about it. We were surprised by the large portions and we were all very happy with the flavor. All the food was fried and we enjoyed it. We had Fish and Chips and jumbo shrimp, the fish was enormous! We were glad we went and will go again if we are ever in this area again.

We barely made it by 7pm. Love their clam cakes, chowder, and fried dough! Worth every calorie.?
