“There was not a very long wait. After we were seated, the waitress Melissa was very professional and attentive. We ordered the Asian wings which were awesome! Pizza came quickly after. “This is our second night out at The Harris and our experience was excellent, again. The atmosphere is busy in a vibrant, good time, almost celebratory way. The staff is welcoming and attentive. As a guest, you feel like everyone involved cares about your experience. The food is tasty, well seasoned and cooked just right. Even the sides are well thought out. I had the blackened shrimp, for a second time since it was so good. Love the mashed potato with the skin left on. My husband had a huge prime rib cooked just right and my daughter had the cod. Definitely going back to explore more of this menu. Great way to have a well done meal and have a good time close to home.“

“Homestead has been a family favorite since Matt first opened the place! Hearing that they had a new owner we decided to visit and see what has changed. We weren't disappointed; they've kept all the old favorites and had an interesting list of specials. Knowing there was a new chef I thought I'd try items off the Specials menu. The Calamari Olio was delicious !! There was a great ratio of tomatoes, olives and peppers to the calamari. The rings themselves were cooked to perfection; I'd definitely order it again! Corn chowder and clam chowder were great as always. My husband went for the fried scallops served with fries and slaw. It was just as good as always. I tried the chicken piccata with potato and veggie. It was scrumptious!! I dare so it was so flavorful that I don't think it even needed the breading on the chicken. The servers, as always, are super friendly, efficient and add to the dining experience. The kitchen was a bit backed up but it's an all new back house staff and I have no doubt they will have it together in short order. Don't let reviews about the place being a local hangout serving 'comfort food' dissuade you from making the drive. The homey atmosphere, the front staff service and the food itself make it worth the drive! We will definitely continue to keep The Homestead in our list of places to dine!“

“I go by this place all the time and finally decided to stop in. Very welcoming staff and they went out of their way to thank me for stopping. I ordered a small pizza to try it out. Best pizza I've had in ages. Most of the people there were doing Wings and they really looked awesome. Enjoyed two craft beers with my pizza.
