Got hush puppies as an appetizer and they were mushy in the middle. Got the fish with crab lemon sauce and it was pretty much water. Lima beans and rice were flavorless. Waiter didn't even notice we didn't eat any of our food.

Excellent meal!!! She-crab soup was the best we had while in Charleston! We stopped after touring Magnolia Plantation and we were all highly impressed with the quality of the food- the scallop risotto was phenomenal!!

The scallops were cooked to perfection! The shrimp and grits was amazing! And our server was correct, the coconut cake was delicious! It was our first visit, but will not be our last! I can't wait to come again! Thank you for such a great date night!

Betty Lou's has the best fried shrimp! We all enjoyed our meals, which included fried flounder, fried shrimp, fried porkchops, and the scallop truffle risotto. Everything was delicious! We ordered the expresso martini and it was also so good!! I've had these at many different restaurants in Charleston and this one is one of the best (along with Melfi's). Our server was very attentive and nice. The only down side is that it gets very loud. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Service great, prices good, great cocktails and beer options, and food is DELICIOUS! Porkchop, seafood platter, seared scallops, YUM! Excellent fried shrimp and flounder. I make a good risotto but mine pales in comparison with the truffle risotto here! That porkchop......wow.
We ordered the fried pork chop and seared scallops for entrees. Both were delicious! It's cool and casual place with a touch of class. Highly recommend it.
