My recent dining experience at Eleve left much to be desired, primarily due to the abysmal service we received.After being seated, we eagerly awaited the arrival of a server to take our drink orders, but to our dismay, no one came.As the minutes dragged on, we watched as other tables around us were promptly attended to while we sat in utter frustration, wondering if we had been forgotten altogether. Attempts to flag down passing staff members proved futile, as they either ignored our gestures or hurried past without a second glance.After half an hour of being ignored and growing increasingly exasperated, we made the decision to leave, thoroughly disappointed by the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed by the staff. It's a shame that such a promising establishment falls short in delivering even the most fundamental aspect of the dining experience: attentive service.In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Eleve to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. Until they address their glaring shortcomings in customer service, patrons would be better off taking their business elsewhere.

Beautiful atmosphere with an outdoor patio. I had the bohemian sunset cocktail which was well made and contained plenty of alcohol. However, the food menu is way overpriced for what it is. With being a restaurant in Charleston, you would think it would be just as good as anywhere else in the Lowcountry. It's not. The restaurant obviously sells itself on their cocktails and ambience rather than food quality. I wouldn't say it's bad, but definitely not worth the price. I ordered the little gem salad with shrimp, beef carpaccio, mushroom and prosciutto flatbread, and chips for a side. The salad was the best dish out of the four. They only added 6 pieces of shrimp but they were plump and grilled well. The beef carpaccio came with a pork rind type of chip that was a little too oily. Our sever recommended ordering chips with the beef, so we did. For a $15 side of chips, I would expect more. They came out on a little tray and were nothing special. $15 is crazy for the amount we received and a sliver of salt. The mushroom prosciutto was not bad - the flavors blended well together. Lastly, we had a table of six. Five of us ordered. My friends and I wanted to split the check two ways. Our server said she can't do that and the system won't allow her. We then spent the next 20 minutes trying to split up one bill with an automatic 18% service charge. Overall, I would not order dinner here again. It is overpriced for the food and the way the check was handled left a bad taste in my mouth.

We were staying at the hotel for our anniversary trip, and decided to try Eleve for brunch. What a great decision, delicious food outside on the rooftop in January. We saw some "not so nice reviews", but had a great experience. Even a complementary glass of champagne because it was our anniversary - nice touch.

I was once a server for Savannah Mansion on Forsyth & Orlando Grand Bohemian. Beyond shock it was not busy but we came as soon as the restaurant opened.
