Ordered the butter chicken and butter naan. Both were pretty average to below average. The former was mostly sauce, few pieces of chicken and the spices were totally muted by the (salty) butter. The naan was stale and a bit burned. Rice was decent. Overall, not worth the money paid.

This is a cute, friendly, and intimate Pakistani restaurant in the historic area of Charleston. It has a cool and cozy vibe, with dark lighting and colorful decor. Service was very engaging and friendly, and the server was helpful in helping us pick some dishes we hadn't heard of elsewhere. The food was delicious. We'd planned to share the aubergine pakora chaat appetizer, but our night they were substituting yellow yams and kale, so we switched gears and got the masala bhel, which was fantastic - spicy and flavorful, especially with a little tamarind chutney and raita. For entrees, we had (of course) butter chicken, which was as good as any I've had anywhere, and chapli kabab, which is ground lamb patties cooked in a tandoor. My wife loved them. All in all, it's perhaps the best South Asian food in or around Charleston.

As soon as you open the door to this establishment you get hit with the smell of the spices. I made a reservation ahead of time and I’m thankful that I did because the tables were turning over quickly. I ordered the goat, and my friend got the buttered chicken. The goat was unbelievable, and then I tried the butter chicken and it was even better. I feel like you can’t order anything “wrong” on this menu. We ended up taking food to go because the portions were also so big. The service was the cherry on top and our server was amazing. The sweetest person and made great recommendations.

Ma'am Saab was a delightful treat to discover in Charleston. My wife and I appreciated the attention from our server, Kay, throughout our delicious meal. The portions were delicious and extremely generous. We shared eggplant fritters, lamb biryani, and butter chicken. Every bite was a treat and our only regret was that we could not take our leftovers to go! We will be back the next time we are in the Charleston area.

It was our first time last night. We had a wonderful cherry service person who explained the menu beautifully. The food was amazing and so flavorful. Saag paneer was the best ever, and that's coming from a New Yorker. We are definitely going back!

Ohmygosh this place is SO GOOD! First of all, I love the decor and the movies playing on the wall! It sure get LOUD on here, so I probably wouldn't recommend for a super romantic spot or a first date, but the vibe is so fun!We ordered the tasting menu and I'm so glad we did! We got so much food, we kept eating for days. Now, I don't know the name of everything we got, but I can tell you the Butter Chicken is NO JOKE! You can literally taste the butter! The lamb patties were also delicious, as was everything else! Our server was incredible, I wish I could remember her name, but she was also fun, really made the evening a real night out. We'll definitely be back!

My family of four had dinner there last night. It was outstanding. We tried appetizers, entrees, breads, chutneys, and dessert. We had the Pakora Chaat and the Bun Kabab as the appetizers. Both were a big hit, but the Pakora Chaat was especially delicious. For our entrees, my wife had the Lamb Biryani, my mother-in-law had the Charsi Karahi, my 17 year old son had the Bihari Kabab, and I had the Chicken Tikka. We also had the Mint Chutney and Chili-garlic Chutney to share amongst ourselves, as well as a few orders of the naan. The entrees were quite good, except for the Lamb Biryani. It was on the gamey side. My wife returned it, and ordered a Charsi Karahi. The naan was exceptional, and the Raita that came with each meal was a step above what is served at most Indian/Pakistani restaurants. In addition to the food, the service was really good, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and worth the higher than expected prices.

Great experience, got there 30 min before closing unfortunately but the food and service were amazing! The butter chicken was too die for and the cocktails were fantastic. Def recommend and will be back!

My only regret is waiting so long to dine here. The ambiance is great. Great background music that was still easy to have conversation. The food was delicious and very vegetarian friendly. Our server (Pronounced Tuba - but spelled differently) was on point with recommendations and a delightful service. Before leaving we made new friends with the couples dining next to us. Great food, great service, beautiful setting, and good pricing - couldn't ask for a better dining experience. We will be back with friends and I won't wait so long again.

Second time there. Split 3 appetizers and split veal biryani. Food was excellent. Tuba, our waitress took great care of us. Very reasonably priced and the food was very flavorful. Will be back. It's going to be our go to place when we go to the Galliard Center for a conference.

Absolutely delicious! Such a nice change from Charleston's staples of BBQ and grits! The cocktails are innovative and thoughtfully curated around the menu. Can’t wait to return!
